A very good place. Deserve to visit and spend all day in this place ( Including Laboe). It was especially good because it was not just museum, it is also memorial for soldiers fought in the sea for their countries. I can't read german so well but it was also meaningful for foreign traveler like me.

In memory to the fallen soldiers. The memorial looks powerful and depressive. Inside there are some pictures and stories about the war time. I like the wall with many submarines, it shows how many of them sank. It is crazy. So many lost lives. The tower is quite high and inside is a bit creepy if you walk the stairs. The view from the tower is great. It is definitely worth seeing it.

Not too high up, has an elevator (but it only caries about three people at once, so there's probably a queue). The view from up top is amazing and definitely worth the visit.

A very interesting exhibit about the history of the German navy since the German Confederation until the present day, and a tower housing a memorial for the German sailors on both world wars. Unfortunately what should be a place of recollection and respect, especially the underground room, is used by children to run and shout without the control of their disrespectful parents.

There is an elevator in the tower. We didn't see it on the way up. The ship models in the exhibition hall are a great way to see the progression of naval ships. Don't miss on getting to walk through the U-boat

An amazing memorial to the sailors of the German navy who have lost their lives in conflict. It has a lift to the top which offers panoramic views of the kiel area. Nearby is the u595, the last German u boat in existence. Well worth a visit.

A tribute to the mariners from all countries in the world. The structure of the monument is shaped like a big submarine turret. On the top a terrace allows a nice view of the Kiel channel. Inside, on the basement there is a memorial to the fallen sailors from all countries, silent admonishment against war. A place to go and to linger.

This place is very interesting. There are many types of ship models with descriptions and various monuments for fallen sailors. I recommend a tour of the submarine at the end. The price of a complete ticket is 10 euros for an adult.

Hola..2018 August....touching and very sad at the same time ... roses don't bloom on the grave of a sailor .......from Argentina.

Peaceful place honouring all who fought bravely and perished at war. Recommened to go up the tower about sunset timing to catch a glimpse of the beautiful scenery of Laboe, note museum closes at 1900Hrs. Military personnel can visit for free by showing militaty ID at ticketing office.

The submarine was a little smaller than we expected, so it didn't take us too long to see it all, but the view from the tower was very beautiful, although you should take the elevator if you're not in shape as there are a lot of stairs to climb to the top! You should also be aware of the fact that you can only pay with cash, that's a minus from my point of view!! Overall it was a nice way to spend our sunday!

Been there as part of the naval homeguard of Denmark, my first time in private was equally breathtaking (not only caused by taking the stairs to the top)((there is a lift)). Worth a visit, always.

A great submarine museum. Get there right when it opens to avoid the lineups.

Drove to the dog beach and watched the sunrise here over the fjords. Had a vegan breakfast at Günther bakery.
