This trails offer a deep forest and serene beauty of trees and birds. Trail 4 is newly opened trekking trail in Islamabad and very well maintained by authorities. p.s. Avoid littering please and keep the trek clean.

This Track is usually not crowded. Faced two snakes 🐍 in this trial. This track is almost covered with trees 🌲. Took 02:15 hours (135 minutes) to reach the top. There is also a small spring (چشمہ ) after one Km. better to go with friends as this trail is not busy as compared to trail 5 and 6.

I don't know why trail 4 is not mapped properly on Google map, this issue needs to be solved. Its very beautiful trail a little tough one. I will recommend this trail to everyone who already completed trail 3 and 5. This trail is not crowded and that's why very neat and clean. This trail is little tough. Don't do this trail solo.

One of the best trail among others because it leads to best mountain top where KPK, Monal Islamabad along with Rawalpindi can be seen as bird eye view. Overall it's unique and unoccupied track which gives the mesmerising views on the way up to the top.

Very beautiful place to walk around with nature also it's a smoke free zone πŸ˜‡. If you love someone with or close to nature, the green belt offers you verity of places including all the trailers and this one is my favourite because I'm not much fond of hiking and this one is very gradual height seems like you are walking on a straight path. The weather there is very beautiful but one must need upper or shawls in this season specially. The flora n fawns here are really interesting, as shown in the pictures I contribute. If you are stressed or depressed this place is a saviour as you can feel so much soothing effect of nature there. I highly recommend this place if you want to be close to nature or to your roots ❀️. All the best to all who will travel to trail 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Its Total Length of Trail-4 is around 9.5km with 3-4 Hours Hiking, Walking. Most Scenic and wild Trail of Islamabad, Safe for alone hikes but don't hike after 2:00pm, The Best time of Hike 7am to 11am, it is Around About Trail, you can find yourself where you left, so don't be panic if you can't find it's ending, if you turn left from Dhok Jeewan's Sign you'll be able to reach Selfie Point in Just 1 Hour hiking with the distance of 2.9km. There are very few capital cities in the world that are blessed with such close proximity to nature as Islamabad. The Margalla Hills are the continuation of the Himalayan mountain range. The soil on the hill is fertile and completely covered with green trees, herbaceous plants and rocks. The forest on the hills is the natural habitat for a variety of animals and birds. The forestry department of Pakistan and the authorities has tried their level best to revive tourism in this area. Every year, many private clubs along with the authorities conduct a hiking excursion to fetch up the importance of the Margalla Hills among all age groups. The authorities have made possible for people to visit the forest, roam about safely, and explore the natural resort. For people who wants to experience hiking and overnight camping can come here as it is the safest place for the purpose. The two sides of Islamabad are surrounded by the hills. Therefore, it is possible and much easier to access. There are eight trails that vary in distances, and are assigned with numbers, i.e Trails # 1,2,3,4, 5, and 6. The remaining two tracks are named as; the Saidpur trail, and Bari Imam Trail.

This is one of the least crowded trails of the Margalla Hills National Park. Hence this trail is a lot cleaner, and ideally suited for genuine hikers with no or less focus on taking selfies. This track is located one KM from the Islamabad Zoo on Pir Sohawa road. Ample parking space, however it may not be enough if this trail gets popular like Trails 3 & 5. The track is pretty much flat for the first 500 meters, but from there the incline begins in the form of stair steps as well as inclined track. It is very green and has a lot of shade in the beginning, but that reduces as you go further up the hill. The road is also adjacent for the initial part of the track hence you can hear all the noise, but cant see the road. This trail is pretty long hence also will not get overly crowded anytime soon, hence it's a trekkers treat.

I have been to trail 3 and 5 but I recently visited trail 4. I think its the longest trail in Islamabad with the length of 8 km. Near the start point, mostly the trail is wider and covered with trees, so there is very little direct sunlight in summers that's good. As move up the there is a mix of step-ups and downs with some rock and plan track. At some points the track gets very narrow. When climb higher up at some points this trail has a very nice view of Islamabad the surrounding terrain. There are in fact 2 or 3 places where you can just sit and enjoy the view. I won't recommend this track if you are with kids. At the night time this track has a majestic view of Islamabad but it's not recommend to visit at this time because they close before Maghreb prayer. This track exceeded my expectations, you should visit this track if you want a lifetime experience.

This is good point for tourists. Its amazing to explore nature but this is good for new hikers and aged people. Its beautiful place but it is plain most of the time and you will find very less hiking and steep paths. So, if this is your first hike, then you must go. And if you are regular then you will get bore. πŸ˜‚ Important thing, there is not water spring and any nature water fall like trail 5 or 6. So be prepared and bring your bottles πŸ™‚ Good luck πŸ˜‰

One of the most peaceful trail. Hiking Tips #bring water: plenty of water if you are heading toward Dhook Jevan and Trail 4.... cz it's almost 8 hours hiking.... otherwise Talhar morr trail is just 2 hours long .... # Food: food is not allowed but if security guards are not on duty than you've a good chance to bring food but it's very rare..... So you've to starve. # Waterfalls: 2 waterfalls are present but only in rainy season.... otherwise they are dry and dirty # Hiking alone? No, it's never Safe especially on Dhook Jevan trail.... you must have 3 to 4 hikers alongside..... girls should never hike alone # This trail is Very very close to nature and is very thick nd rich in species of birds and wild animals.... so if you feel wrong or watch footsteps of any heavy animal than don't move forward.... just get your way back..... it's specifically for Dhook Jevan side ( pretty long and dangerous) # No signals available.... only very few points where you can access signal which are almost reached after 2 to 3 hours hiking # bring mosquito lotion in rainy days # Nature Lovers: must give a try... you'll see birds not only chirping but fighting as hell.... nd it's very exciting also bcz when you're ready to face a wild animals and it actually appears a tiny bird with a heavy chirping voice.... u suddenly cool down...hahaha.... # Experience: you'll have the best memories and will enjoy the real taste of hiking in pure natural environment

Trail is gradual and well maintained. However missing lots of signs at forks on the trail and there are several of those. As a result, got lost on the trail and reached Talhar via Ridge Trail! Had to take a taxi down to parking lot☹️

It is a beautiful trail, though quite difficult than trail 5. Moreover, its starting and end point is same unlike trail 5 which ends on Pir Sohwa Road near Monal Restaurant. β€’ Its length is around 14-15 kms. β€’ It's a long circuitous trail which demands stamina, physical fitness and patience. β€’ Elderly people and children under 12-13 years may find it difficult to trek. β€’ There is nice restaurant at its starting point. β€’ My advice for all those interested in this trail will be:- - Put on trekking shoes. - Carry a small bag pack for carrying few bottles of water, juice and eatables etc. - Mobile phone. - Trekking Stick.

Discover Islamabad's serene beauty on this unique trek. Unlike trails 3 and 5, it offers tranquility and distinct plant life, a refreshing departure. The light green leaves provide a soothing touch. With the freedom to explore as you please, it's an opportunity to connect with nature and even links to the ridge trail for extended adventures.

Trail 4 is short at one side where we have selfie point. It took 2.5 hrs normal hiking but long towards tallarh village. It has 8km distance of 3-4 hrs one side hiking. This trail originates at the parking of the La Montana restaurant, off the road to Pir Sohawa on the left, about a kilometer from the Marghzar Zoo. Leaving the first turn on the left about 300 meters from the parking, the trail runs parallel to Pir Sohawa Road and then gradually turns right leading to the Dhok Jeevan Loop Trail. To stay on Trail 4, you will have to take a sharp left about a kilometer from the parking lot. From here Trail 4 zig-zags up the hill climbing for about 300 meters until it reaches the ridge separating the Dhok Jevan Valley from the adjacent Faisal Mosque/Darra Kavani Valley.

Total track length is around 7 KM it takes more than 2 hours to reach on top than coming back would take 1 hour at least. Track is beautiful if someone is not willing to go all the way he/she should come back from selfy point. Track before and after selfy point is steep. Overall great if you're short of time and don't want to go further north for tracking this is best place to enjoy mountains

It was quite thick jungle. Not for families due to very less number of people doing trekking. To me it did not seem that much scenic as trail 5.

If you’re looking for a longer walk with panoramic views, the stunning Trail 4 is for you. A flatter terrain nestled in the hills and home to gorgeous scenes from the hills, this trail is ideal for those looking to extend their walking time and to get immersed into the hillsides for a day of avid walking.

Nice track. You cant call it a pure hiking track though. Nice and easy, very slight hike and mostly plain. But good scenic track and there's a selfie point where you can chill.

Trail 4 and Trail Dhok Jewan are the best trails of Margalla Hills. The both trails are already shaded and covered. Trail Runners can run all the way and run in loop in clock and anti-clock wise. If you love downhill running then must come down from trail dhok jewan side. You'll literally enjoy downhill running. Trail 4 also connects Trail 6 and Ridge Trail.

The view from the top is breath taking. I had the opportunity to hike this trail yesterday during Ramadan with my folks at IRU, the experience was worth it. Although this trail shouldn’t be attempted a lone as a beginner.

Trail 4 in Margalla Hills offers a fantastic hiking experience and it is the most beautiful Trail in my opinion. After hiking approximately 1km, you reach a junction where one path leads to Trail 6 and the other to Dhok Jeevan. While Dhok Jeevan's track is long but rewarding, Trail 4 itself is a must-try. It boasts stunning views and well-maintained pathways that will leave you satisfied.
