Have been to the Lae Botanical Gardens 3 times now. Twice for SME Markets and once for Adventist Community Services Craft Market. The gardens are used to host events, especially the craft markets. A lovely, natural habitat to relax and be close to nature with the trees around.

As someone who has visited Lae Botanic Gardens, I can say that it truly is a beautiful and peaceful place in the heart of Lae city. The gardens are filled with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and a variety of trees that provide a welcome escape from the busy city life. However, it is clear that the gardens could benefit from better maintenance by the authorities. Some areas could use a bit of tidying up, and a few of the paths could be better maintained. Despite this, the beauty of the gardens still shines through, and it is a place that is definitely worth visiting if you find yourself in Lae. Overall, I would still recommend a visit to Lae Botanic Gardens. It's a lovely place to spend some time away in nature and spend some time in the the peaceful surroundings.

The yacht club Lae like any other supports the local fishing scene. This is the watering hole of fishing enthusiasts and one of the biggest business hubs in Lae. Great place to socialize and get to know prominent business figures in Lae City. Great place for fish and chips as well as other delicious meals in store. The setup is like an open bar style and has a great view of the ocean. Check it out when in Lae next time.

Located in the heart of Lae, this place if placed in the right hands can be developed into one of the best botanical garden in the country.

Ah the yacht club.. sounds so posh! They even have a Commodore! (Not a Holden) the seafaring type. Oh if only Hyacinth Bucket (From the British sitcom Keeping up appearances) knew, she would be thrilled! She might sing him a sea shanty. Check it out, go dressed as a sea Captian and tell a few harrowing tales of voyages around the cape, over an ale or three!!

It's the best rainforest botanical garden in Papua New Guinea. Why? is because the forest is as old as untouched and natural. The place has benches and small recreational houses for tourists and visitors at quiet, peaceful and shady spots. With rest room available for both male and female you'll be okay if you're there. To sum up, it's a great place to visit if you want a peaceful place to think or study.

Another must go to destination if you are visiting Lae. Overlooks the water, excellent Friday night BBQ atmosphere. Nothing like a cold beer on hot day in Lae. Plenty of parking. You don't have to be a member to go in, they will sign you in at the security front door. Safe place to go.

One of the best gardens in Lae for family outings and nature study. The staffs are very friendly. If you are going through the trees, be careful and eyes open for surprises along the path.

My experience of this place is of the 80's and 90's when I'd cross the gardens following the footpaths through thick natural forest cover, past pools infested with water hyacinth, the fresh air and the smell of wet moss mixed with decaying undergrowth lingered and its serenity wonderous.
