Nice place by the river. Good breakfast. The I don't like part is the floor it is wood so you can hear people walking above you. You need to be careful while walking around the room to not disturb others maybe tiptoe. All in all good place the owner are friendly.

A bit on the expensive side for the area and not rightfully so. We took two rooms with breakfast (which we were told by the owner is very good). One room was much smaller and cramped than the other but was, for some reason, the same rate (when we complained in the morning we were told that the larger room was given at a 'discount'. We checked online, it was not). In the middle of the night someone knocked on our door and asked us to stop walking so loudly because he was sleeping downstairs and the floor was creaking too much. Also, there is no sound isolation between rooms, you hear everything going on in the next room. Oh, and of course, don't expect a fridge or a kettle, the rooms don't have any appliances. Breakfast was fine. Not exceptional. Two of us didn't get up for it, so our parents asked for another yogurt and were told to pay extra. Owner seemed indifferent to our complaints. We checked out and walked 50 meters down the street to a much nicer place (Huean Dokkeaw). Cheaper, bigger rooms, better equipped and a much better attitude.

Beautiful green oasis tucked away by the river right next to the market street. You can tell it is a labor of love which has grown over the years into what it is today. As with most wooden structures, creaking floorboards, noisy neighbours, neighborhood pets are all part of the charm - natural sounds which we have all been protected from in our insulated lives in high rises. The absence of refrigerators in the rooms was a positive for me - no artificial noise of it unnecessarily cooling my 2 bottles of water. I'm sure I could have asked the staff to help me store any perishables in their fridge. Overall a wonderful experience and the owners are kind and welcoming.

We stayed at this guesthouse for 2 nights while on our cycling trip in Thailand and loved it! It's calm and beautiful, the room, common areas, location, everything. Soft relaxing background music, kind owner and staff, stay here when in Lampang and enjoy this place like we did.

We always love staying here. Lorenza and the whole team are so lovely. Such a beautiful building in a perfect location on the river. We have stayed in a multiple of their rooms, fan and Ac and always clean and comfortable, with a warm homely feel. Breakfast is amazing. The special french toast is not to be missed. The eating area is right on the river and a great place to chill in the evenings. Caffe (the son) also has a cool selection of Vintage T-shirt to buy. We now have a few. Thank you always, Katie and Charlie (your very satisfied friends)

Cosy, warm semi-full bar/restaurant overlooking the river. Wished I stayed there instead of where I did.

A charming and romantic place along the river in Lampang and feels just like a home stay. The buildings are old and made of wood. The place is decorated with lots of decorations and green plants. The place is run by a married couple where she is from Europe and he is from Asia.

Whenever we drive up to Chiangmai, we make a stopover in Lampang. A lovely city! We always look for the Riverside Guesthouse, an agglomeration of timber Thai homes turned into an extremely charming guesthouse. Beautifully arranged comfortable bedrooms. Some with river view. Breakfast is included and the menu offers healthy, hearty foods, good coffee and breads. Owner and staff cater to your every desire with pleasure. Cocktails and drinks available. Truly recommended and hopefully there will again be a room available next time we come to Lampang !!!

A very good decorative place with a river view. But I experience bad impression since I checked in. The staff kept asking me to move my car out of the guesthouse area and park in the alley so I decided to go out right after check in. But I had to park in the alley in front of the guesthouse overnight still. Didn't feel right but I had no choice. The room was antique style so it's understandable that it looks old. But the disappointing parts are; one of the bathroom lights was out, the shampoo and liquid soap had no labels as well as the fan button, and the balcony door cannot be locked while the curtain is not fully covered. Not to mention that there are tiles replacements going on early in the morning. So I decided to leave instead of resting until check out time. I travel alone so I feel comfortable to pay a bit of extra money to a nice guesthouse but I feel it's overated here. You can give it a try but I wouldn't go back there.

Stayed in the guesthouse for 3 nights and it's a very well preserved wooden house in Lampang. However, the staff was quite rude while I was having my coffee in the morning by asking me to move to another table as a family was coming in for breakfast. There were only 2 tables occupied during that time including me and my friend.

Stayed for only for 1 night unfortunately. Such a peaceful and beautiful place. Charming room overlooking the river. Lovely private veranda to sit out on or sit in the guesthouse garden which is also beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious fruit, omelette, toast with home made jam and coffee for breakfast. Highly recommend this place. (It is a teak house though so don’t expect high levels of soundproofing).

Delightful family run guesthouse with river terrace in a restored teak house. Personal service from the owner who has an eye for art pieces and decoration that create a homely atmosphere. Great location for weekend Market in the old town street. Good breakfast included in room tariff. Have already booked to stay again.

Located directly on the river with a nice view. Isolated enough from the busier areas so noise wasn't an issue but close enough to walk to whatever you may need. Rustic older building with older style accoutrements but completely satisfactory and in good repair. Ownership/staff very friendly. Breakfast was great with choice of Thai or Western. Back area at the riverfront is very cute and immaculately groomed and landscaped. Very relaxing. Room had satisfactory facilities and again was cute and relaxing. Overall a very lovely, homey type place that would easily be my go-to for visits to Lampang.

Riverside Guesthouse at Lampang was a perfect relaxing location. The property oozes charm & character. I had a first floor room with large balcony overlooking the river which was fantastic ( worth extra for the view ) I believe it’s 100+ years old but very clean & functional Lovely sitting watching the river with a drink day or evening Staff are all friendly & helpful. Owner Lorenza especially helpful with local knowledge etc. Inclusive tasty breakfast freshly cooked Easy walking from there to old town, local markets, temples & clock tower Dinner at excellent Aroy One Baht 5 mins walk My first visit both to guesthouse & Lampang Hope to return soon

The most beautiful guesthouse in the perfect location right on the river. Close to the weekend market and walking distance to local bars and restaurants. Room was stylish and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the owner and her staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming. My favourite place to stay in Lampang!
