We
booked
here
after
walking
out
of
another
nearby
hotel
as
we
wanted
somewhere
with
strong
WiFi
and
a
decent
room
for
2
nights.
The
staff
member
that
served
us
didn’t
speak
any
English
and
we
completely
failed
in
our
ability
to
speak
Thai
so
we
communicated
using
Google
Translate.
We
never
have
an
expectation
that
staff
in
a
foreign
hotel
will
speak
our
language
(hey,
if
they
were
multi-lingual,
they’d
get
a
better
paying
job
elsewhere
and
not
deal
with
fussy
tourists).
She
was
absolutely
lovely
–
so
friendly
and
so
willing
to
help.
You
don’t
often
find
this
kind
of
genuine
friendliness
in
first
world
countries.
She
showed
us
the
room
and
we
were
pleasantly
surprised
at
how
neat
and
clean
it
was,
so
we
booked
it.
The
bathroom
looked
almost
new.
It
wasn’t
the
biggest
room
but
it
was
spacious
enough
and
had
a
good
set
up
with
a
long
desk
area,
which
we
find
so
important
for
all
the
technology
gear
and
working
on
the
laptop.
It
also
had
a
balcony
that
we
always
find
useful
for
drying
clothes.
The
bed
was
comfortable
as
well.
We
were
in
a
room
that
faced
the
street
(only
one
room
doesn’t)
on
the
2nd
floor
but
it's
not
a
busy
street
so
it
was
rather
quiet
though
you
will
hear
the
odd
bit
of
street
noise
–
no
big
deal.
Some
people
just
need
to
get
over
the
desire
for
being
in
a
sound-proof
vacuum.
The
hotel
was
in
a
very
central
location
and
we
walked
everywhere
from
there
–
for
laundry,
restaurants,
supermarkets,
temples,
river,
etc.
It
was
hardly
a
few
minutes’
walk
to
the
night
market
yet
far
enough
to
not
hear
any
noise
from
it.
The
only
time
we
needed
transport
was
to
and
from
the
train
station.
You’re
not
going
to
find
5*
resort
accommodation
in
Lampang
and
whist
I
wouldn’t
consider
this
hotel
to
be
a
4*
hotel,
it
certainly
was
good
enough
for
our
2
nights.
