Spent
a
night
here
with
my
wife.
We
had
a
room
with
private
bathroom.
1.
Aesthetic
-
The
whole
place
(back
to
front,
reception
downstairs
to
room
upstairs)
has
a
very
pleasant
aesthetic
that
was
a
unique
combination
of
old-world
charm
and
new-world
amenities
which
was
both
pleasing
to
the
eye
and
made
efficient
use
of
limited
space.
There
were
lots
of
thoughtful
touches
and
attention
to
detail
eg.
ceramic
wash
bowl,
minimalist
hanger
frame,
tiny
curtain
above
the
door,
photos
hanging
on
the
wall
above
the
stairs,
brick
wall
downstairs,
various
pieces
of
furnishings
which
are
non-intrusive
but
subtly
add
to
the
charm,
etc.
2.
Cleanliness
and
shared
spaces
-
spotless
and
immaculately
clean.
Even
the
shared
bathrooms
upstairs
and
downstairs
were
very
clean
and
charming.
The
main
kitchen/dining
area
in
the
rear
leads
to
a
longish
backyard
which
is
a
nice
place
to
relax
if
you
have
the
time.
There's
usually
some
local
desserts
in
the
kitchen/dining
area
(patongko
or
southern
pancakes)
3.
Friendliness
-
Our
host,
Apple
(and
her
staff)
were
super
friendly
and
welcoming.
Ask
them
any
questions
and
they
will
be
very
happy
to
answer.
A
nice
little
touch
was
the
customised
map
sheet
that
was
provided
with
all
the
pertinent
details
of
the
surrounding
area.
A
Day
inn
Ranong
is
truly
a
home
away
from
home
and
we
would
not
hesitate
to
recommend
this
gem
of
a
place
to
any
visitors
to
Ranong.
Full
of
warmth
and
charm
