Best of the best small boutique in town of Ranong. This is my 2nd time of staying here. This place is so convenience for you to walk to Ranong Old market, The palace, and Walking Street on Saturday. If you come to Ranong, you need to check out this place. There're some options of room types you can choose esp backpackers. The only thing I could think of for this place is missing is the parking space - if you have a car.

Was going to stay somewhere else but no one was there, so walked across the street and decided to stay here instead. A great decision on my part. Very helpful staff, who allowed me to bring my bicycle into the back garden. Even told me a place where I could do my laundry. Room was very clean and fresh. Breakfast crepe was delicious. A good central location for walking around.

Can I give 6 stars? Worth every baht I paid (even more!) especially the services. I checked in around 2pm on Friday and the staff were extremely helpful. I could get to borrow the bike (which is very cute, by the way) and ride around town and uphill towards the hot springs. The check out was smooth. I had to check out early to catch a morning ferry to the nearby island. When I came back, the hotel owner (I think) told me that I could get to shower while waiting for a night bus back to Bangkok. This is beyond expectation and more than I could have asked for. Did I mention that the interior design is very nice? :)

Stayed in July 2023. An extremely undervalued gem. There's really nothing I can complain of here, other than the mosquitoes in the day. The rooms are cosy, showers are great, and they even have Netflix for guests to watch in the common area! All at a very low price, even cheaper if you stay for multiple nights. They also offer free local snacks in the morning (a really nice touch!). You can get more from the 7-11 opposite or the local shops all around if you are still hungry. The lady boss Apple and staff Ning and Nong are really friendly and knowledgeable. Ask them about anything around the area and they'll be able to answer you. It was such a memorable experience chatting with them and understanding more about Ranong in the process. Would definitely return to Ranong and endure the 10+hour drive all the way from Singapore just because I love how it's such a quaint mountain town, as well as the fantastic atmosphere here in the evenings (at nearby Phu Khao Ya too) and into the night. The human factor here also holds a special place in my heart, just because I got to speak and interact with these lovely, special people. It made my trip to Thailand really, really memorable. Looking forward to staying here once again very soon! :)

Modern style, new, clean and comfortable place to stay. Good location. Very well design. Normally stay at hotels but a private room in this hostel might even be better :-) Rooms on the street look noisy but the street goes quiet quickly. Will book here again if in Ranong.

Beautiful modern hostel with extras like free water, coffeee, shampoo and body wash. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The only problem that we had was that our room was on the side of the street and it was really hard for me to fell asleep because of the noise (wood windows). Also the lights in the corridor were a bit disturbing. But besides that I completely recommend this place. It's made with love and style! Thank you! If I come back to Ranong I'll come for sure again to A day Inn!

What a wonderful place to stay when visiting Ranong 😊! The staff was so friendly and accommodating with everything - they helped us plan and book our onward journey, which made it much easier for us. The hostel/hotel itself is spotlessly clean and very well kept, we also liked the interior design very much. After a couple of very firm/hard Thai beds before I enjoyed the softer sleep in the Deluxe room we booked - which wasn’t very pricey despite it being high season. There’s a kitchen and fridge where you can keep stuff so the „missing“ fridge in the room is no problem at all! Also the location is dead central with everything from the huge market to nice food and drink options close by and walkable. The bus station is just a short motorbike taxi ride away… So if you find yourself in Ranong you now know where to opt for a room 🙃. We absolutely recommend staying here!

Only stayed for one night but definitely one of the most beautiful Hostels I've ever stayed in. The interior is very tasteful. The dorm rooms are nice and clean. Spacious with decent sized lockers. Air con (with remote), extractor fan and curtains. The mattresses are very comfortable. Nice and firm, just how I like it (it's healthier and you don't lie through onto the bedframe). The sheets, and towels were clean and fresh. The bathroom immaculately clean. There's coffee and tea 24/7 for free and some delicious local snacks in the morning. There's also a well equipped and clean kitchen for use by the guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Spent a night here with my wife. We had a room with private bathroom. 1. Aesthetic - The whole place (back to front, reception downstairs to room upstairs) has a very pleasant aesthetic that was a unique combination of old-world charm and new-world amenities which was both pleasing to the eye and made efficient use of limited space. There were lots of thoughtful touches and attention to detail eg. ceramic wash bowl, minimalist hanger frame, tiny curtain above the door, photos hanging on the wall above the stairs, brick wall downstairs, various pieces of furnishings which are non-intrusive but subtly add to the charm, etc. 2. Cleanliness and shared spaces - spotless and immaculately clean. Even the shared bathrooms upstairs and downstairs were very clean and charming. The main kitchen/dining area in the rear leads to a longish backyard which is a nice place to relax if you have the time. There's usually some local desserts in the kitchen/dining area (patongko or southern pancakes) 3. Friendliness - Our host, Apple (and her staff) were super friendly and welcoming. Ask them any questions and they will be very happy to answer. A nice little touch was the customised map sheet that was provided with all the pertinent details of the surrounding area. A Day inn Ranong is truly a home away from home and we would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a place to any visitors to Ranong. Full of warmth and charm

If you are looking for a Hostel in Ranong with charming Vintage style and style modernised with very good wifi. Look no further. It is a short distance walk to Chill Chill dim sum(150m) and the old restaured throne hall just around the corner.

I would definitely return here if I ever visit Ranong again. The hostel is super clean and functional. Both private and dorm rooms value the money. It is clean, comfy. The staff are friendly, helpful and talkative. The hostel was well designed and decorated. The only drawback was that if you stay at the rooms adjacent to the road and you’re noise-sensitive, you may be disturbed by vehicle’s noise. However, the staff did inform us in advance about this:)

Love it so much I came back the 2nd time this year! Comfortable, clean, secure and affordable. Great location in the middle of downtown. It's very convenient. Very accommodating and hospitable staff. This time as I traveled with 2 young children so I picked the bigger room and it was worth the upgrade. The common/ lounge area is bright and clean. Thank you and see you folks again next year.

This hostel might be the best hostel I’ve ever been to! Very clean, great location, lovely staff with an incredible owner! Whenever I had any enquiries they helped me and even called other companies to make some bookings for me. Also the prize is very very fair. Ranong itself has enough to offer to stay 3 days and with the mix of all those different cultures coming together in the town it was an unforgettable cultural experience. Its also a great place to get away from all the touristic places further south. 10/10!

Had been hoping to stay here but it was a little outside our budget. Arrived here late one evening on return trip from Ko Phayam, our budget option was sold out, so we ended up here. Looks even nicer in person. So glad we ended up here. Was a short stay but we felt incredibly comfortable here. Highly recommend!

What can I say the reviews explain this place perfectly. Srayed here with my wife and twin daughters, Great place for a family. Good location we got rooms down the back so no street noise. Ultra clean, slightly quirky, designed well around the space everything works beautifully. Reminds me of the old Chinese hotels in Singapore 40 years ago before they got bulldozed. If I hadn't seen the reviews going back in time I would have sworn recently renovated.

We only stayed one night but we would definitely come here again if we visit the area! The staff are friendly, the space is clean and they provide free snacks in the morning! They have an indoor and outdoor common area with tables and chairs. The bathrooms are clean and the shower has good water pressure too. The dorm was nice, it has AC and each bunk has a curtain for privacy. The towels and sheets are clean too.

Come as strangers, leave as friends 😍 We picked this place because of the decoration, it looked cozy and warm but we didn’t expect this much. We were impressed by the price and the cleanness of the room. The host, Nong Ple was really nice. I didn’t even take any pictures for the review because all pictures here were exactly the same as I saw with my eyes. So I just drop our pictures here instead. 🥰 Until next time…😊

This hostel is another level of quality. Rooms are clean and very functional. Beds very comfortable. The general decor is beautiful, see photos. Service is excellent. They gave us a voucher to use the hot spring, useful map at reception, helped us research niche activities in town, and got a random free breakfast of local snacks. Location is in the middle of Ranong walking street, 7-eleven opposite and free parking outside. Very highly recommended!
