Formerly known as the National Stadium, the MKO Abiola stadium was completed in 2003, and hosted the 8th All African games in the same year. Though the stadium is under-cared for, it still stands as a magnificent stadium. The Kayak section is also good and longest in Abuja. The shooting range was recently shut down (for reasons best known to the management).

Recently watched the women’s football team Nigeria vs Ivory Coast. 2 -0 Nigeria! It was a great experience! FREE ENTRY. Lots of parking, the stadium was clean, chairs were dusty but not a big deal. All the toilets were locked though. They also hold sports clubs here for all ages.

The newly renovated MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, is now a world class standard. The stadium barely hosted 50 matches before it was closed down. It is located in the heart of Abuja, the nation's capital city and of course, the most beautiful city in Nigeria. The pictures attached say a lot more about the stadium.

Excellent facilities we got there, for all sporting events but my experience in recent time is nothing to write about. My country lacks property/investment management skills. For this huge investment not to be maintained properly then in no time this investment/property will become an history. Our government needs to develop maintenance culture so as to keep history also use this facility to train home based champions that can represent the us. God bless NIGERIA.

Nature meets sport at its finest, the stadium was located along the roadside. Although the main entrance is a bit far from where the training pitch and stadiums are, it's a bit walkable. It is well equipped and very wide with different section ranging from swimming spot, to basketball court to the football pitch. Its a nice place.

Nice sports edifice. A serene location but lack of sanitation and the perimeter fences in some areas have been destroyed by herdsmen and illegal farmers around the complex.

It's cool.. just that I went there for a conference and not all the entrance gates were opened and because of that it was very difficult to get many people into the arena with ease... And the lights were not put on as at when due, don't know if the managers were indeed managing the diesel or what... Outside all this I enjoyed my stay and fed my eyes in aweπŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Personally, no body told me the stadium was that big!!! Like you can literally go from one end of Abuja to the other ,just inside the stadium. The serenity to Is cool. And also stadium is free you don't need to pay anyone as for vendors, you should make proper enquiries if you want to host something inside.

The place hasn't been managed well, but they have the best tennis courts. Great view for nature lovers and quite inspirational for writers. Watching the sunset was the highlight of my visit. Will definitely go again.

When it comes to games especially tennis 🎾. I would recommend anyone here. The maturity amongst the players made the place one of the best choice. I had a nice time out here. Overall experience is good.

Besides the vastness of the main bowl, the nature friendliness of the stadium cannot be under emphasized. It’s big enough for any event whatsoever, the surrounding environment is very neat, there are other side attractions like the velodrome, the smaller football pitches, the kaspaland, the swimming pool, volleyball court, basketball and the refreshment arena are all top notch.

Nice and well maintained pitches with environs. The main bowl has been rented out to a church though. Imagine my horror as I can't play in the stadium. Enjoy my jpegs on the side pitches though

Quite an ideal πŸ‘Œ venue for a conference of the Nigerian Bar Association AGC magnitude, but the parking arrangement and onward movement of conferees to the Velodrome seem disjointed.

I Was Expecting To See The Stadium As Beautiful As It Was Like 10 years Ago. Some Offices Were Not Well Kept, Facilities Looks Not Touched For Ages, The Stadium Upper Capacity Was Full of Dirt and You Could Literally See Posters and Broken Facilities......... Nevertheless, I Trust Maintenance Will Be Activated
