This year I was able to spend a few months in and out of wonderful Lisboa and lucky enough to eat at Jesus e Goes five times. First off the food is absolutely amazing if you like full flavored and spicy dishes. I ate here a couple of times before Jesus’ sad and unexpected passing and several times after. Maria and the team bravely fought through the sadness and still made me feel at home with their warm hospitality. I would like to thank them for all of the wonderful meals and conversations! As for the food both the meat and shrimp samosas were delicious. The holy burger is beyond description and maybe the single most interesting and intense bite of food I’ve ever had! I am extremely well traveled so this is quite a bold statement. For mains I tried six of them however the prawn massala was the winner. I cannot say enough great things about Jesus e Goes and look forward to my next visit to Lisboa just to eat there!

Saw this place on "Somebody feed Phil" on Netflix and decided to give it a go. And I'm glad we did! We had an amazing dinner here, food was delicious, we even ended up chatting with Jesus and the people from the table next to us. The service, food, drinks were all perfect. In terms of prices, I guess the food is slightly on the higher side, but we found drinks very reasonably priced. We paid €67 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and 4 drinks. Cash only - come prepared!

Best meal in our 8 day Lisbon trip. Complex flavours, innovative appetizers. Absolutely recommended!

Delicious and tasty food! The green chutney with the Chickpea starter was so so good I ate every bit! The Shrimp and Ladyfingers curry was delicious I took the gravy home to eat. Appreciated Jesus coming to speak to our table and for the photo. Highly recommend making a reservation especially if you’re more than two people.

Had some of the best Indian food ever here! We ordered the prawn samosa (twice), the potato bhajis and the prawn and baby goat curries. Everything was so delicious and generous portions - wish I could fit in more food in my belly. We also had a bottle of wine and other drinks + a dessert and our bill was around 80 euros which I don’t think is expensive as a few reviews say. The owner and the waiter were super friendly too!

Jesus himself lives in the form of a very large man who makes delicious food. Very casual, great food with bags of flavour and friendly service. It’s cash only, I’d recommend booking

You HAVE to eat here! By far the best food we had while in Lisboa. If you’re vegan you need to need to try the chestnuts with mushrooms and eleven spices and potato bhaji with puri. I have been eating Indian food my whole life…and swear I have never ever had this flavor, I was in a trance. Indo-Portuguese is surely my new favorite kind of food! The place is small, so if you’re doing dinner you must make a reservation. Restaurant is very decently priced, we got two appetizers, two entrees, plus chapati and drinks and was only about 20 euros/person. Staff is so kind and helpful with navigating the menu if you’re new to this kind of food. please don’t miss out!

Carne samosas so good that we ordered a few more before dessert! All of our dishes arrived freshly prepared and so full of flavor. Delicious chapati bread, bhajipuri for sharing, savory holy burgers, and creative date samosas. Would highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a more creative Indian food experience.

Absolutely incredible, not at all over hyped, worth every penny. Each dish was more complex, interesting, and delicious than the last. The hero burger (an amazingly flavorful mini beef party with a perfectly poached egg on top) is a one bite morsel that is better than any amuse-bouche I've had at a Michelin star restaurant. And save room for dessert - both of the original creation dishes were unfathomably yummy. Some dishes do have a little heat but the flavors and spices are perfectly balanced. The service was warm and wonderful, too.

My boyfriend and I were traveling to Lisbon for the first time ever and heard about this unique restaurant through Somebody Feed Phil and thank goodness we did! As soon as you enter the warmth from the staff is contagious. Our server Maria was so lovely and shared so many details about how their food is made and the story of Jesus himself. It was an experience. The holy burger was a spoonful of flavor and perfection, the shrimp samosas were a kick of spice that took you on a ride, the shrimp curry was creamy and delicious and their 11 layer cake special melted in our mouths. This restaurant is Jesus’s legacy and nothing will ever take its place. Highly recommend please do not miss out on this incredible spot. Back soon!

Guess like many other, we went here because we saw the Netflix docu (somebody feed Phil). They don’t have a huge menue, which I usually prefer and like. BUT then we got told that 4 meals on the menue are not available. 5 minutes after ordering we got told that one of our main dishes was also not available. Very disappointing! Samosa with meat was very nice. The holy burger on the spoon was also very tasty, super interesting. The vegetarian main dish was okayish, nothing special. The hot and sour pork ribs were not good. Be aware that you can only pay via card. We didn’t know and had to find an ATM to get some cash. Had higher expectation but they were not met.

New fave- spicy little Lisbon restaurant. Get the shrimp samosas to start; can't go wrong with any of the curries but we especially enjoyed the shrimp/ okra curry & mushroom/ chestnut curry. Top it all off with the date samosa with cardamom ice cream for dessert!

This place is mythical, we ordered all the appetizers on the menu (2x for the burgers) and everything was spectacular. The burgers where out of this world... you have to try them. We also had the cury shrimp that was really great too. The staff was quite friendly and helpful . The restaurant is small and fills up quickly so make sure to call them and make a reservation.

Amazing flavors and a lot of heat! We thoroughly enjoyed the goat curry and lentils. The service is great and very personable. On top the mural on the wall is great entertainment- well done!

We got there without a reservation. The staff were very friendly. There were no seats so we got food to go to take back to the hotel. We tried the Holy burger on site and return to the hotel for the rest of the food. The spoonful was full of flavors. I would order that again. The shrimp curry and chicken curry were only okay. The shrimps were overcooked and the flavor of the curries were a little water downed. The price is a little on the expensive side.

Another on the Somebody Feed Phil trail, but applause to whoever researches for that show! We managed to book a table in this small restaurant, the interior is simple, clean and colourful. The staff deserve the biggest shoutout for outstanding service - best customer service we've ever experienced. Bruno (yes, i will talk about him) was so knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, we loved everything we ordered. Stand out of the menu for us was the chickpea starter with a powerful corriander paste/dip that blew rhe cobwebs away, and then the chocolate dessert (we aren't dessert people, and haven't ordered anything chocolate since, in case it spoils our memory). The main courses are large portions and could easily be for sharing. I highly recommend making the trip to this place and cant wait for a Jesus cook book to appear! Bravo to Bruno and Jesus.

Not impressed. They didn't have three of their "recommended" dishes. Most everything we ordered had the same flavor and texture. Weird vibe the entire meal. Just because its on Netflix, doesn't make it great.

This place is extraordinary! The flavours of every dish are really well thought out, it was just an absolute delight. The holy burger was like nothing I have ever tasted! I don't have a sweet tooth, but I'm still raving to my friends about the chocolate mousse!!! A lovely welcoming atmosphere, I hope to come back again one day.

Great food. Level of heat and spice was superb, allowing flavours to really come through. The holy burger starter is just awesome You must come here if you visit Lisbon.

Great food. As a newbie to goan food, I was expecting muted food relative to Indian but was pleasantly surprised. The chestnut and mushroom gravy tasted very Marathi and was really good. A great vegetarian option to go for (the only decent one though) We didn't have a reservation but the staff did kindly accommodate us in. I highly recommend you reserve in advance as the place is small and very popular.

So there is a heaven!! Food here was sensational. If you love a bit of spice then you must come here. Great dishes but the holy burger for a starter is probably the best thing we’ve EVER eaten. Great service with a friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The staff love to talk about the food and Lisbon. We will be back next year.

We chanced getting a table, and got lucky. But strongly recommend calling for a reservation. The food, service, and place is fantastic. Can’t wait to come back. Do order the holy burger (see photo)

Highly recommend this restaurant! The food was excellent. So fresh with so much flavour, spice and coriander!! The dips were delicious with the starters! Didn't expect such authentic flavours as we often find restaurants adapt to a western taste but found this place to be very authentic. Whiskey jelly in the dessert was amazing!! And to top it off, the owners are so passionate about the whole experience! Don't be surprised if the door is locked, you just need to knock to get in!! Thank you from the Irish family!

It’s this tiny little spot, not even a sign on the outside. There are 6 tables so a reservation is very recommended. They are so kind, with the BEST WINE and FOOD… All speak English and have us the best experience with big portions. Jesus is watching from above ☝️

I’m a copious Google review consumer rather than a review writer. The one exception I’m making is for this restaurant. The service was impeccable, I was treated and served in a very friendly manner. The food was extraordinary: I had only the goat curry with rice (being a party of only one). It was so beyond my expectations that I asked for some extra curry sauce and was gladly obliged. It went down very well with the house red wine. They take only cash and I was so taken away by the food and service that I gave them all I had (i.e. including a very decent tip). This is the best joint in town, especially in the touristy part of Lisbon.

Staff is really friendly and welcoming. Portions are good. However, there is only one level of spiciness for all dishes and they cannot make it less spicy/hot if you ask. For me, the food was way too hot to enjoy it.

An honest review: the shrimp samosa and the starter with the bread and potatoefilling were really good. However, the main dish was incredibly disappointing. The service also wasn’t what we’d wish it would be. It took a very long time before we got everything and also, there were people who definitely came after us who got help before us. Felt like they were regulars and got better service, which I don’t think is fair. All in all it was a first and last time for me.

We basically tried every dish on the menu and were surprised by the wonderful taste each time. The food was delicious, and the staff made the experience even better. The best Indian restaurant we have been to so far! See you soon.

Several Goan favorites and also new creations such as the holy burger. Beautiful and flavorful food. If you like Indian food, you're going to love this unique twist on it with Portuguese influences. Jesus is an artist. Puri bhaji is on point as was the Cafreal and Xacuti. Some other customers told us they loved the Sorpotel too. Jesus' own wine was amazing to go with the food. And try the cashew nut and date samosa with ginger cardamom ice cream. We also had the Bebinca which was amazing. Carry cash because they don't take cards. And plan on about €30 per person. We felt two people could easily be full with two dishes. Overall love the food. It's a bit pricey and the cash only is a bit inconvenient, but worth the hassle as the flavors and overall experience is great.

Fantastic food, great staff and Jesus came out and took orders and talked to diners (sounds weird to say that, but never the less). We ordered a little assortment (shared 5 menue items) and had a bottle of wine. Great experience and would highly recommend it. Make sure you get a reservation, lots of walk ups were turned away and had to make a reservation for an other evening. Also, it’s a cash only restaurant.

Very good samosas, a bit too long fried (very dark dough and a bit too hard). The holy burger is very tasty, definitely worth a try. Vegetarian mains are ok, generous portions of rice. Nice and buttery chapati, very nice chocolate mousse, sweet samosas were also good, but maybe a bit dry. Very friendly waiters.

Loved our experience dining at Jesus é Goês! I am loving my first trip to Portugal and was delighted watching travel shows like Somebody feed Phil, to find Goan delicacies served so far from home. I just had to try it! And I'm happy to say, I'm so very glad I did. It is a nostalgic experience for anyone who is from or has been to Goa and loves the flavors of this unique cuisine. We tried the Holy burger, Chick pea pakoras with chutney, Chicken cafreal and were blown away by the unique and innovative take on Veg Xacuti with mushrooms and chestnuts! The creamy bebinca was the perfect end to the perfect meal (IYKYK 😋 👌😍). We were so engrossed in the meal we even forgot to take pics, which is unusual for a shutterbug like me and speaks to the caliber of the meal. Even if you've never been to Goa but enjoy trying out flavorful world cuisines... do yourself a favor and don't wait too long to book. This is a small place that fills up fast. Jesus! I was told we visited on your Birthday so missed meeting you! Happy Birthday and thank you for the birthday cake!!! Also thank you for representing Goan flavors with so much authenticity and innovation! Your food is truly amazing!

Highly recommend! The food is simply amazing, it’s a must try when in Lisbon. We ordered some shrimp samosas and chickpea balls as our entrance, and shared the shrimp masala, the fish curry and the chicken with coriander. The service is overall really good and the staff is very kind.
