Love this place, I don't think it's advertised enough. I think more people should visit however they are located a little ways off from the strip but the food was delicious. The catfish, collard greens, and Mac and cheese was good. The grit balls could've had a little more seasoning but overall they were good. I think they it's a nice vibe, however I think they need a bigger venue. The customer service was awesome, no one waitress, because when everyone passed the table they would ask were we ok or if we needed anything... I didn't like that they couldn't split the ticket multiple ways but we worked it out... if I ever return to Vegas I will go back again...

Hands down the best place to eat in Vegas. I can say so much about this place , but you have to go for yourself. You wont be sorry. You will want to order everything on the menu. Trust me we tried and wasn't disappointed. The people that work there would make you want to come there every day. Their attitude is bubbly. They are very attentive and make sure you well taken card of. Za seen us looking at the owners write up on the wall and asked if we wanted to meet her. She came out and was more than happy to meet us and take a picture . If I had to open a food service business I would definitely model it after this one. 5 stars isn't enough.

Today's breakfast was at the Gritz Cafe and it was a great one! We ordered the Chicken and Waffles with side of potatoes. The potatoes were delicious with excellent flavor. The waffle was a average waffle but with syrup and some of the amazingly juicy and excellent flavored chicken it was perfect. The biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and a side of gritz was also an excellent dish. The gritz were really good and the biscuits and gravy were definitely in my top 5 in Vegas! The staff and waitress were promt and friendly. Easy parking right off Stella lake. More photos on my profile page and videos on my YouTube page

Oh my goodness if you're from the south and are looking for a taste of home, stop here. It's been a while since I've had an excellent southern breakfast and Gritz absolutely killed it. I came in on a Thursday at 930am thinking I'd be the only brunch patron in the late morning on a weekday. I was wrong, the place was packed. Once seated, however, service was excellent. I came in to try the biscuits and gravy, but the chicken fried steak and chicken and waffles were also calling my name. The waitress pointed out I could get the chicken fried steak meal, which already comes with gravy, the upgrade my side tona waffle, and add a biscuit and a chicken wing a la carte to get all three. So, I did. It was way too much food for one person, but I kept eating to unsafe levels because it was all so delicious. The star for me, however, were the grits. They were perfect. I usually have to add extra butter, but not here. All of the food was just delicious and comforting. Highly recommend.

Love, Love, Love this place. This is a small but cozy place the food was absolutely delicious. I tasted the chicken and waffle as well as the shrimp and grits topped with bell peppers and bacon bits (they have different options to choose from as toppings or you can choose to go with no toppings). Food was seasoned well with flavors that popped. My friend had the catfish with greens and mac-n-cheese. I'm not a catfish lover but I tried a piece and it was fluffy, light and very good. On top of the great food the service was outstanding. Our waitress, Olivia was an excellent server. She catered to us like we were her only customers. She was friendly, knowledgeable of all the menu items, made recommendations, and always had a smile on her face. Bravo Olivia 👏. Would definitely go back when in the area again.

Friendly down home place, food was delicious! The sweet potato waffle not on the menu 🔥🔥, not what I expected but on point in flavor didn't need any syrup, fried shrimp were cleaned well and great tasting, biscuit was great, the gravy was not the best or texture.. but overall a great dining experience!

So, once I knew that I'd be visiting Vegas, I started looking for a breakfast place that I could visit with my boyfriend. I chose Gritz based off of their name (I'm from the south) and for the menu items I saw listed online. This place did NOT disappoint. Everything was amazing, even the coffee was delicious! Staff was attentive and friendly and the price was perfect. Definitely going to visit again when we are back in town.

This place is amazing! The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. The owner is a doll! Don't be surprised if she comes out to speak. Try it if you want a taste of the south in Vegas! P.S. try the SECRET sweet potato waffle!

Worth the wait!!! Great customer service and great food. The chicken was fried correctly with nice crunch and seasoned well. The grits were on point and all of the sides collard greens, yams and mac and cheese. Very impressed with customer service especially as busy as they are and the young lady cleaning tables and sweeping up and sitting people and grabbing items for customers was just as professional and polite as well. Needless to say we will be back and we recommend orhers to come and patronize them. They make their food fresh and to order and please understand the wait is worth it!

In Vegas for the day and wanted brunch. Looked at a few other places but after doing a little research I discovered this gem. I went on a Monday around noon. We were greeted warmly by Ms. T and were told there was a 45-60 min wait. We were buzzed on time and were quickly seated. We took a few minutes to scan the menu. We all ordered plates and waffles with various meats. We ordered chicken wings and the hot links. I opted for the sweet potato waffle. Let me just say we knew this place was a winner after the first bite! EVERYTHING was delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. I’ll definitely be back!

There's a bit of a wait but it's well worth it! My hubby and I were visiting Vegas on business. Grits Café was recommended to us by a friend of ours. The food was excellent. The customer service was on point. The atmosphere felt like family. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Vegas.

This delicious soul food breakfast diner. Family friendly little diner. Inside and outside seating available. reasonable pricing, portions are average. This place is open 24/7 with breakfast anytime. The staff was very friendly, prompt and efficient however the food preparation is sooooooo slow. Food was prepared fresh. Cafe was extremely clean and free of debris. We tried the chicken and waffles, grits, sweet potato pie ( made by an outside vendor), breakfast sandwich, potatoes, yams, Mac n cheese and chicken breast. Our favorite are the waffles with 2 piece wings. They are light, crispy, buttery and flavorful.

Enjoyed the best grits I ever had!! The fried chicken was hot and seasoned. The waffle was a little bland, but everything else made up for it. The wait is long. It was triple digits so it was a struggle waiting outside.

This place is beyond AMAZING. The hospitality, atmosphere and cleanliness were beyond 5 stars. They actually give you a choice of eating utensils ( plastic or real ) THAT WAS THE BEST PART. And I got a free concert.. The Stevie Wonder version of Happy Birthday.

I was hankering for a big breakfast so I swung by Gritz Cafe and it definitely hit the spot. I arrived just before 9, and was promptly seated. Good thing I arrived when I did because the place was swamped by 9:20! My order was piping how and seasoned to perfection. My served recommended the toasted croissant, which was a great companion to my mean. My ionly issue was that my eyes were bigger than my stomach, so I had to take some food home with me. Oh, and the itis!

We came all the way from Florida to eat here due to all the talk. Grits are salty, eggs not scrambled well, catfish has a fishy aftertaste, the fried chicken is alright not great. The waffles are heavy and doughy like the batter is just flour and water. We travel all over and eat so we know good food. This place is NOT it. Good luck to those that go! And to those who love it there God bless you! The staff is nice and pleasant!!

First time eating here. Heard alot about it, so we decided to try it out. Not bad. A basic decor and simple atmosphere. The service was cool. Our server was very attentive to our needs. The food was pretty good. I had the Shrimp and Grits, which was excellent. Full of shrimp and seasoned well. Their waffles are tasty and favorable. My wife had the Grilled turkey chops. Yes, I said turkey chops with Grits and eggs. Nothing was horrible, but there was nothing to write home about either. I'll try it again the next time I'm on that side of town for brunch.

While on vacation from South Florida on my birthday this place was highly recommended. I had the catfish with grits and sweet potato waffles. Everything was delicious!! The staff was friendly and attentive. They refused to let me leave without singing happy birthday to me. I will definitely be back.

OMG first off the if you’re like me you saw this place on TikTok and you’re probably fact checking because people be lying and over hyping food. Let this be your confirmation the food was AMAZING! Experience and service was also 10/10. We had the big grits breakfast I did the 3wings 1fish combo everything was perfectly made regular grits and it didn’t need anything extra added (I usually eat mine with cheese) but had cheese eggs they were done right not dry but also not runny (iykyk) and the waffle was perfect. It was a lot of food and I couldn’t finish it so I finished my last 2 wings later that evening still good didn’t even have to warm them up. S/o to our waitress Olivia the sweetest and super attentive while juggling other tables. Can’t wait to come back! Love to see our people thriving and giving A1 service! Also a cute area on the patio for photos!

We loved the atmosphere, being around the soul of the culture is awesome. The food was delicious. You might have to wait for a table if you are dinning in, but it well worth the wait. The staff was wonderful.

Finally tried this place! I had the catfish, grits (of course) and greens. The catfish was fried perfectly and grits were nice and creamy. The greens were just 'ok'. They could've been seasoned more but I'm not disappointed. Will definitely be going back when I visit Vegas.

Food is awesome! Attitudes need some work. Thankfully I experienced good service but that good service should apply to all. Sometimes businesses hire people who lack communication skills.

My boyfriend bought me too this wonderful establishment and I’m so glad he did! The food was delicious the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I had the chicken and waffles with a side of cheesy grits. Babe had the fried catfish and waffles with some fried potatoes mmm soooooo yummy. Next time I’m in Vegas I’m definitely making Gritz Cafe one of my stop stops!

Last day of our vacation and we wanted some soul food and found this place. Service was good. The only downside was the size of the restaurant but luckily we didn't have to wait long.

First we were told to wait 45 mins but that turned into 2 hours. In the heat at first but then we went inside. Togo is the best thing going here, they do it quick and easy. Sit down is a wait bit the food is WORTH IT. I loved everything I had. Chicken, fish, grits, mac and waffle. All good! Definitely want to try here and the waitresses were awesome. Made the wait a little more bearable

This was actually my second time dining in this wonderful establishment! The food is top tier, and the service makes you feel right at home. Everything in the pictures was absolutely amazing! The fish was so good I didn't get a picture of it. That's ok, because I'll be back! It's a great spot if you want a good southern meal. Please check them out!

  • 4/5 Aj W. 1 year ago on Google
I had lunch here today. Most of the food was phenomenal!!! I had a two meat combo meal. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked to perfection! I also had fish, however the fish was cooked in some burned grease, that was not good at all. The grease needs to be changed, hopefully someone does that so they can have some delicious fish. I had greens, yams, cornbread, and peach cobbler. All which were very good. I would visit this spot again but I don’t know if I would get the fish again. My friend had a breakfast platter and she enjoyed her meal. She originally wanted biscuits and gravy but they were out of that. The restaurant is not very big, so we had to wait a few minutes but it wasn’t too long. Our server was nice as well. I don’t remember her name, otherwise I would give her a shot out!

This is my first time to Vegas and a friend told me about this place. I must say some of the best food I have ate since being here. The wait was not long to get the food just to get in. Everything tasted amazing the chicken the fish the grits, waffles, potatoes, shrimp, greens and eggs were delicious. Plus this is the first restaurant I've been to where they actually scramble your eggs when you ask for scrambled eggs. I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Vegas the staff was super friendly and the prices were very reasonable especially with both me and my husband and all that we got we paid about $50 to $60. The only thing that I would change is the space. We had a party of four but the tables are kind of small and it was hard to fit all of our food on the table.
