A most charming hotel and location, and right across the tiny street from a lovely café, as well. The shower stall was a bit odd, as it was right in the middle of the room, and the shower door doesn't have an extra panel to close it all the way, but you make do. Comfortable bed. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Very cute and nicely decorated rooms. There has obviously been care and thought put into the comfort and decoration of the rooms. Lots of nice bath products in the rooms also. Very clean! The staff is very nice and helpful. There is also a darling cat which makes this hotel even better. I would recommend this hotel to friends and would happily stay here again.

Great location… and the positives stop there. The rooms are incredibly small and very dated (and not as in French chic kind of way), and the receptionist embraces the stereotypical French rude attitude - inattentive and disinterested. We sat down for breakfast and they didn’t come around in 30 minutes. No parking on the premise, and no one to help you with your luggage.

Overpriced. No breakfast included - misleading by the website. Almost charged me for breakfast though I never had it! Appliances and amenities in room were very limited. Beautiful room and location otherwise.

Very lovely old hotel and classically French. Two faults the air conditioning did not work and probably worth checking it's condition if you are going in the summer. Secondly because it didn't work we had the windows open and whilst positioned in a quiet delightful part of town street noise did wake us particularly the street cleaning machine. Lovely breakfast and very friendly owner.

Adorable little hotel. The manager & staff were very kind & welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and well worth the €8. The Wi-Fi worked well and the room was spotless. All the charm of a French hotel with an international level service. I would happily return to this adorably charming hotel.

I have been visiting wonderful Montpellier for the past 13 years and I have often stayed at my favourite Hotel du Palais. Apart from its top location, the hotel staff have always offered great service and make me feel welcome. I often travel alone and feel comfortable and relaxed when I stay here. As a French Travel expert, I recommend this hotel to my clients and they too love the experience. The location Place de la Canourgue is the best in Montpellier The rooms are well appointed and clean. I prefer a room with walk in shower. The foyer and breakfast/tea room have been recently renovated and offer a true French sejours.

I've stayed here twice now, most recently for an entire week in June 2023. It's not 'super fancy', but very clean, and has a lot of charm. The location could not be better, in my opinion. Breakfast is excellent; they have a lower priced continental breakfast in addition to the larger breakfast advertised on the website. Beautiful outdoor tables when the weather is nice. I dealt with quite a few different members of the staff, and all of them were extremely professional and friendly. When you combine that with the reasonable rates I think this place is hard to beat.

This was a lovely place to stay with such a kindly team of workers and I have already recommended it to friends in Luxembourg. I miss the bread at breakfast. My friend and I liked our rooms and thought the location could not be better. Hoping to return to Beautiful Montpellier...
