Decent Indian food in the heart of Lausanne. This is a chain of Indian restaurants in Switzerland with 6 of them across mostly tourist frequented towns. I like the lunch buffet on weekdays which is decently priced considering it's an all you can eat buffet. You always have vegetarian options available as well. Food and service are ok though I wouldn't call it fine dining but considering it's more of a quick service option for Indian food, it's friendly and good enough.

Lip smacking Indian food. Original and authentic.same regular Indian menu in abroad but the taste is totally different. Keeping the originality will fill up your empty spaces very soon. Lausanners don't mind paying little more than the average for perfect texture, aromatic , and taste. It's Not like CHEF MICROWAVE cooking your food in other Indian restaurants. congratulations to the chef. Will come again soon.

Warm welcome, very clean restaurant, friendly staff, good and efficient customer service and most of all, the food is delish. The chicken tandoori was moist and succulent, the chicken madras very tasty, too, but the shrimp bhuna was our favorite. You can ask for a chili sauce if the dish is not spicy enough for your taste. A good experience overall and we'll definitely come back.

Delicious food, nice service. Large choice of dishes including vegetarian. Super spicy if you ask for it. I would dim the lights but other than that a very great and confortable place to dine.

Golden India restaurant in Lausanne provides an authentic Indian flavours which is very tasty. I highly recommend this place for Indian cuisine. Also, there are many other branches too in Swiss which can be explored. The service and the ambience is also very good.

What a splendid experience! I was there yesterday evening with my Mother to treat her, because she loves Indian food. To be honest, at first we had a hard time finding the restaurant and when we did, we were not sure, if our choice was a good one, because the entrance didn't look very inviting... But, as soon we step in, we were greeted very friendly and the good experience kept getting better. First we were offered a beautiful table at the window, from were we could watch the busy happening on the cross-road before the restaurant. Second the serving staff took really very good care of us and third the food was just GREAT. As we are Rogan Josh lovers as well as connoisseurs we ordered our favorite and, boy, we were so happy with the dish served. The portion was sufficiently big, the meat was tender and the taste was just fabulous. The side dishes (rice & naan) were also just as expected. So, if you like Indian food and are in to top quality as well as good value for money, visit Golden India and try for yourself - we will be back as soon as possible. :-)

We were absolutely delighted with the experience. The paneer and veg biriyani paired with raita and garlic naan was scrumptious. I must say, come with an appetite as the portions are quite generous! The service stood out with its attentive and friendly nature. For connoisseurs, the cuisine is predominantly North Indian, and the flavours are authentically rich and satisfying. A word of advice for those unfamiliar with indian spicy food: when asked about the spice level, it might be best to opt for medium or low. This allows you to truly appreciate all the intricate flavours without overwhelming your palate. All in all, GoldenIndia comes highly recommended from us!"

Excellent food!!! All of the food was piping hot and fresh, tasty, and delicious! There is a beautiful view of the lake if you sit outside. The waiters provided excellent service and were very friendly. This is our new go to restaurant in Lausanne!

The food is excellent and the portion sizes are perfect. Our meal was very warm and comforting. There is a variety of dishes to choose from on the menu. The staff is extremely hospitable and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Overall Two stars, only for the service. The credit for the lost stars goes entirely to the kitchen. Unfortunately the food had too many uncooked spices, and was not at all upto the mark. As it's not the first time we had food from this restaurant, we were surprised and did mention the observed change in quality. As a response, we were informed that the head chef was on vacation. The service even offered us some dessert, however unfortunately, it just made the things worse as the dessert wasn't well prepared as well and we couldn't eat it. Again, I am giving this review because I know the good quality this restaurant has offered in the past and I hope I get to give it a 5star review back again soon.

Very delicious Indian food, highly recommended! The service was quick, the waiter was very friendly and cheerful. Although the dishes are a bit pricey the portions were pretty big, therefore it's worth it. I highly recommend butter chicken, biryani and garlic naan👌🏻

For Lausanne, it’s a 10 star. For London, it’s a good-to-very-good Indian. Decent flavours, clean - not full of grease, possible to identify ingredients and differences between curries… and they have a tandoor.

One of the best places to have Indian food in Lausanne! In fact, this probably is the best place to have Indian cuisine in Switzerland. Have been visiting this place for the past three years now and the consistency in taste and texture is impeccable. Highly recommended.
