My family and I were at New Delhi - Indian Restaurant today 20 Aug 2023 evening, as we entered in and asked the person (the owner) to have us seated, we immediately realized the guy was not only unfriendly, but ill-mannered too. It became clear to us as he came by later to take our orders, he was disrespectful. 5 minutes later after we placed our order, we approached the same guy (as he is the only person there to take orders and serve) with a simple question and the guy responded with rage (we were shocked) and highly inconsiderate, behaving absolute in an uncivilized manner. He was terribly rude, no customer would like to be treated in that way. You will never ever meet such an arrogant person in a business treating you in this manner ever, I guarantee that. There just cannot be a positive review about New Delhi - Indian Restaurant, Lausanne, Switzerland. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It would be an absolute waste of your time and money, all you will encounter is a guy with a bad temperament that’s very hard to counter and you will be in no mood to eat after that experience. So just avoid this restaurant at any cost, it is not worth it.

The food was horrible. Daal makhni had chana daal and urad daal mixed, and no flavor at all. Paneer masala was hard rubbery cubes of paneer in a sauce made with red color and some weird paste. No onions, spices whatsoever.

last Friday i had a grate dinner in this restaurant.food was so yummy yummy . i was looking for an Indian dinner in lausanne in Switzerland. next time i will back again.

Cannot recommend enough! Properly cooked food and ingredients fresh. Didn't have to wait around long to be seated, was delighted by how clean every thing was. Great affordability, our new regular place for dinner. Do not often eat out yet if we do, this is the best place for good food at fair prices. The people who work here are very wonderful and often very helpful specifically to my sister who has food allergies.

Guy handling customer was behaving very rudely. Speaking style was extremely rude. He came with food and bangged the food on table as if we were beggars n he gave us food for free. Taste was also not good. Food was costly and not tasty . I can say it was below average. But being customers that is not the way u treat customer by banging the food plate on the table. Worst experience with the guy in restaurant.

Fast service and all right food. Naan was excellent. Vindaloo was ok but not very spicy and rather plain. Prices in Switzerland are HIGH and this place is no exception. Payed 35CHF for food and a beer.

If you are looking for authentic indian food, this might not be the right place for you. Dahl was missing flavor, beef was ok and the vegetable curry was a mixture of all veggies with little haldi and cardamon .The paneer was served with an artifical red sauce i have never seen before and i lived several yrs in India. Serving time was super fast. The best part of the meal was the garlic naan. Service unfriendly I dont understand the good ratings.

I ordered food through delivery in the evening at 7, and I am wiring this worst review of my life at 8:30pm. THE FOOD IS SPOILED. If you don’t want to serve fresh food, close up your restaurant or fire the chef.

The restaurant needs to update their timing. I had called the restaurant to ask if I can get a table at 1.30pm but Zahir, the person who answered the call told me that the kitchen is only on till 1pm. When I asked whether a take-away will be possible,he said that they do not want us coming in at 1.30pm for that as well. Doesn’t seem like an authentic Indian restaurant as well with the way the person behaved which is very much unlike Indian hospitality. I would definitely avoid and go to someplace else for Indian food

Ordered a lamb rogan josh, uncooked lamb and the curry had capsicum!! What recipe is that?? And order was incomplete. Never again.

The service was very bad. The guy was rude and not great food. He was not taking orders properly and was serving food as if it was for free. The ambience was very bad! Overall experience was very very bad!!

Never really eat there but take it home. They have a special offer that costs just CHF 20.- for a dish with rice and a naan. It’s really good and tasty food although it could be hotter.

Went there with an app that offered a discount on the price. The food was good, but we were served like 2nd level customers, we received our food later than everyone else and the mango lassi that wasnt on the menu was suddenly crazy expensive..

We ordered chicken bhuna and the gravy was watery and tasted like stale tomato puree. The waiter there was also quite rude and seemed disinterested and tired of doing his job. Overall a bad experience. Restaurants like these denounce Indian food.

Location: around 150m from Lausane station and with bus stop right in the front. Food: they have various type of protein and vegeterian as well. The food was amazing to us. The portion is ok, rice and bread is not included in some dishes. Service: the waiter was super nice and helpful, he was fast, efficient and nice enough to warn us about some dishes which maybe too spicy or strange to us. Price: a bit high but with the service and location would he ok. We have reservation via The Fork so we have 50% off on main dishes but we need to call drinks from the menu.
