0 petit boeuf out of 10. By far the worst service I have ever encountered. Do not visit this unfriendly place if you don't speak French. Our reservation turned into a disappointing experience. While eating our appetizers, we were unexpectedly asked to move to make room for other guests. We agreed, but were seated at a larger shared table, which added to our dissatisfaction. Manager was rude and ignored our concerns, dampening the atmosphere and spoiling our mood. Consequently, we decided to leave. Manager got mad and started yelling at us in French (so we didn’t even understand what he was yelling). Although we only got the drinks, manager demanded that we have to pay for the food too. Although we didn't eat the food, we paid for the entire order (120 CHF), just to distance ourselves from this agressive and angry man. As we were leaving, our waiter brought out our food, but the quality failed to compensate for the overall experience.

If there’s a moment that I want repeated over and over again, it’s this great place. Good beef, high quality. I love it! Beef are wonderful pieces of meat with special taste and you bake by yourself on the table.Best accompanied by homemade double fried chips and many kind of delicious sauces. I love the service and the chef is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place.

I did something stupid and read a bunch of negative reviews about this place and it kind of put me off a bit but I decided to be brave and give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised honestly. I had read about rude staff and mediocre or overcooked meat but the meat was absolutely perfectly cooked and the staff was about as polite as you can expect. It's true we spoke French to them so it reduces the chances of the Rude French Bistro Effect you often see in Paris. The meat was soft, rosti was an absolute dream and the sauces they provide with the meat were very nice. My only complaint is that it was a bit salty but I'm sure you can ask for them to not salt it much.

No fresh air inside, feels hot. Manager is very rude and unwelcome to foreigners. Steaks are overpriced imo.

If I were to describe it as the worst place I have ever been, that would be an understatement. This establishment has an unparalleled talent for leading you straight into the depths of hospitality hell.

Big disappointment. My medium filet de boeuf was totally well done, unacceptable in a place with that name and specialization. Don‘t like food waste and didn‘t want to wait due to my company, so didn‘t return it. Also pretty sure that it wasn‘t 250g as declared (being marginally bigger than the small 150g one of my company). Atmosphere and service were quite good, the sauces were great.

Ever since I went to "Le Petit Boeuf", I feel like a thief. Paying around 50 swiss francs for a filet of exteme quality, you'll get more than you paid for. The staff is pleasing and the cooks are masters of their craft. Sauce is divine. Never before had I tasted meat prepared so well in Switzerland.

Excellent meat! Cost and relaxed atmosphere. Perfect restaurant to go with good friends and family and enjoy a good meat based meal! Prices are very good for Switzerland and for the meat quality!

From outside it seems pretty underwhelming... However the food is really good! Served quickly and they are super friendly. I recommend if you like meat!

These guys know what they’re doing when it comes to beef tartare and filet de boeuf! The restaurant was packed with all tables full at 8pm on a Friday. Really great food!

Excellent service. The beef quality (of the dish we ordered) was below expectations, Steak & Fries or tartar that everyone else in the restaurant ordered definitely looked better. I suggest avoid the "Agentina specialty BBQ" but go for the t-bone steak instead.

Nice atmosphere and environment in a summer time sitting outside should be nice. BBQ beef is nice. Dessert is excellent! Lovely French restaurant. Will come back.

Best beef tartar ever (Natasha). The freshness of the meat and the flavor combinations are out of this world. The restaurant itself is very cozy and welcoming. I loved the buzz in there, the liveliness was amazing. Salmon tartar tasted ridiculous. Will definitely come back.

High quality products, service is old fashioned dressed last minute by the waiter. You pay for the meat quality, so expect some heavy price (>50 CHF for a 250gr piece of meat) All in all a nice address.

Dishes were very good, meat was cooked to perfection, one small minus for sauces - a bit too salty but otherwise food was very correct. Moreover, the portions are not like they used to be, they are smaller and only one serving is offered. Service is a total disaster; very rude and impatient. We would like to come back again for food, but sadly probably we won’t - there re many other places in Lausanne with good food, polite service and more modern interior (this one looks like canteen from 60s, time to renovate guys 🙄).
