I’m at the train station. I’m at the vegetarian buffet. I’m at the combination train station and vegetarian buffet! Like, what? I didn’t think it was real. And open on a Sunday evening? So thankful for this place in a BEAUTIFUL location inside the train station. Ate very few restaurant meals in Switzerland but this was a reasonable splurge that was definitely worth it. You weigh your plates for cost (tip: rocket aka arugula has a fantastic weight to nutrition ratio). Also local wine selections and friendly workers.

This is our go-to eatery when we have cravings for vegetarian food. As a matter of fact, we do not have to walk a lot to get here, just five min from our house to the station in Pully, from where the train takes us here in three minutes. Tibits is located in the old Buffet de la Gare and has kept the interior decoration intact. If you are interested in learning to cook vegetarian you can buy their cook book for a reasonable sum after having tested their "Smörgåsbord", e.g. buffet. Good value for money.

This is one of my favourite places to work/eat and chill in Lausanne. The ambiance is great and has several tables and places to work (charging ports are available). I love that it’s right at the Lausanne main station, so it’s convenient to access. Food is good but is variable depending on the day. I usually go there for coffee and desserts which are great! I’m vegan so I love that anything I chose here is vegan/vegetarian.

My favorite vegetarian place ever! Ideal for a quick lunch meeting. The food is fresh, the coffee is amazing and the ambiance is nice. I love the take out option; so practical!

Tibits have a knack of finding the nicest, run-down locations and giving them an incredible face lift, such as this railway 🚂 station in 🏞️ Lausanne. The decor by itself is worth a visit. The food, as always, is a vegetarian's 😋delight; it does sometimes feel like walking into toys-r-us 🛴 store of course in this case you should not play with your food! 🥗 Thank you Tibits for inspiring us vegetarians that being kind to animals 🐟🐮 does that need to be boring!

Such lovely food vegetarian and vegan options and swiss traditional hörnli (vegan twist) with apple sauce. It is a buffet style restaurant where you chose all dishes that you want and weigh them at the end. You have a water fountain for free. There are waste friendly take out bowls, but eating in is really a great experience, as the restaurant is in an old train station.

Always tasty, if a little salty and pricey. Nice vintage atmosphere, great vegetarian and vegan options. Love going there for lunch, they have large tables to share if you don't want to sit alone. Unfortunately third time being served by a rude man behind the counter. Please deal only with the female staff.

Great selection of hot and cold vegetarian food. We were ecstatic to have found this place. From salads to curries there was a good selection of different cuisines. We especially loved the seaweed and rice noodle salad. Self service so you choose your food and it is charged by weight. You can eat in or use take away tubs. Free bread roll with each meal. Price was a little higher than other self serve places in Switzerland. The location was both convenient at the and place was simply amazing. Looking forward to eating at the tidbits in Luzern. Couldn’t really find anything to fault. If anything it was that it was too crowded!

Honestly, I didn’t know Vegan food could be this delicious plus have these many options. This is inspire the fact that I am a hotelier.. It’s a buffet restaurant and offers plenty of selections from salads, appetizers, mains and desserts plus they have a good selection of drinks. The concept is simple.. Choose your plate size, fill it up with food from the buffet counter, proceed to the bar counter for payment, where you need to weight the plate and accordingly pay. Drinks could be ordered there itself. Once done, proceed to the table or if you have chosen a table before go ahead and enjoy your meal. Leave the plate on the table once doing and go ahead enjoy your day..

Got toogoodtogo and they gave me really bad stuff, not recommended. I almost broke a teeth with their dried up basmatti. The food in the picture is supposed to be valued 26.70chf

Great buffet style restaurant at Lausanne central station. You pay by weight after you used the buffet. Friendly staff, good food and convenient. Great to have some good food waiting for my next train to Italy.

Ew. I just wanted a quick salad mix and when i went to the buffet there were two dishes with lomg blond hairs in them. I told the lady behind the counter but while she was nice and said she take care of it, there were people serving themselves from the same bowls as she seemed to take her time 🤢 never again will i go there, not good hygiene, especially during covid times ...

I was there with my friend. We tasted the food, it was alright, but way too expensive. The atmosphere is very warm and vintage, we loved it.

Great help yourself place. Salads or hot food available, mostly pretty fresh. Pity no microwave to heat up 'hot' food, which isn't really hot by the time one has queued and paid.

Delicious vegetarian food with a large variety of healthy options, served buffet style, in a beautiful location. My only complaint was that we were yelled at by staff for bringing the wrong plates to sit outside. We did not see instructions on what to use and got the takeaway boxes since we thought we might take it down to the water. We ended up in the restaurant's outdoor seating area and apparently we should have used regular silverware and plates there and were rudely reprimanded. I understand the desire to reduce waste, but the containers were on offer and as we were catching a train we thought we might need to eventually take it with us. The experience left a poor taste in our mouths during on otherwise delightful afternoon.

The food it’s not great not much option on warm food in winter and very pricey. It’s a self-service and based on your choice they weigh the plate , and pay . I was shocked , very expensive. The service is poor ,it’s quite complicate to understand how the policy is, I had to ask help and the staff is rude, I noticed to English speaking clientele .

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Good food, lots of original, different flavours to choose from, good service (also dog friendly) and great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. Hopefully they will be fully vegan soon.

ROSES: Gorgeous place, delicious food, everything is vegetarian (or vegan? Idk), it’s kid-friendly (toys, games and everything in a corner just for them), the hot ginger drink is to die for, it’s clean, crowded but not loud, very spacious, extremely well located (right at the train station), you are free to stay around as long as you want, the staff is very cool THORNS: A cruel lack of diversity in the staff, the system to help oneself is too complicated when you’re on a budget, you can’t know in advance how much your food is going to cost you. BUDS: Chill acoustic playlist

This vegan buffet is absolutely amazing. I always eat there when I'm in the area. A key part of good vegan food is to avoid fake dishes like burgers and steaks, and instead offer high quality foods that was always vegan anyway. Tibits is doing just that.

We visited the restaurant for the first time on Saturday, May 20, during lunchtime. The chef of the buffet happily explained to us how the system works. When she realised that we didn't speak French that well, she immediately switched to English and guided us around the buffet. The food was very nice, as was the ambiance. Although this was a buffet, we were pleasantly surprised when she came to our table to ask if everything was okay with our meal. The service at the cash register was unfortunately not so good, but at least the kitchen made up for it!

Great place for a quick but delicious bite. The buffet had lots of options, and the price was very reasonable. The lemon ginger drink was amazing.

Lots of tasty and healthy veggie and vegan food. Buffet style. Good value, especially for Switzerland. Its quite a hectic place as its popular and at the main railway station. Enjoyed the beer and red wine

About 30 vegetarian and vegan dishes in the buffet in a chill atmosphere. Some dishes have a local accent while other have a taste of the middle east. All super tasty! 💚 About 25CHF for a big plate (pay by weight).

Really nice restaurant I always go to for coffee, a snack or lunch whenever I’m in Lausanne. The restaurant is located in the historic Buffet de la Gare and has kept all the lovely paintings and old wood. Very atmospheric. There is always a huge choice of savoury and sweet food. As for the staff, everyone in super friendly so it looks like they’ve got a great team! Can’t wait for the Take-Away that’s opening soon at the station.

Good veggie food in a great location. The manager was a bit rude, pushing tables around loudly. I hope it was just a one off and the he’s usually more chill ! Also we couldn’t ask for buffer ‘à la discretion’ because we did not book in advance - which was a little strange somehow.

Surprisingly well executed concept of vegetarian buffet dining. Very clever choice of dishes that survive well buffet life, extremely diverse offerings inspired from many different cuisines, and the price is right. This particular Tibits in Lausanne is also a beautiful space and conveniently located just by the station.

They now offer the possibilty to take reusable take-away boxes, which is amazing!! I love how they care for the environment. This is a reason for me to always come back. The food is delicious and the people that work there are very kind.

Delicious vegetarian buffet! All the food was fresh and really tasty. Every item I took was delicious. I’m not a vegetarian and generally like meat with my meal but this was so good I didn’t even miss meat. Staff was so friendly and I really appreciate that they patiently helped me with my broken French. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Very handy if in a hurry to catch a train, since it's buffet! The menu is wide and the place is classy. Fair price. 20 CHF for the plate in the picture. You choose what you want and they scale the plate! Recommended :)

Lovely place. Their queues are really long so be sure to take all food at once including desserts else you will be standing in the queue more than once.

Its hard to find great vegan food, particularly in the style of buffet. Tibits smashes this challenge with a fantastic array of great quality vegan comfort/health food this is the place to go for plant based cuisine in Lausanne

Vegan/Vegetarian buffet. Vegan options are clearly labeled as such 😊. Came here twice during my stay in Lausanne. The first time, I loved everything on my plate, especially the seaweed salad and veggie curry (pictured). The second time we came, almost everything was different. I didn't like several of the things on offer but I paid for them anyways. This is NOT an American style all-you-can-eat buffet. You get your plate then weigh it and pay per the weight of your food. If you don't like something: too bad, you paid so you might as well eat it. ☹ Overall it s an excellent option for vegans or vegetarians. Expect to pay 20-30 Francs for a full plate though...
