I had a booking for myself, however, my spouse decided to travel with me to Laussane, I contacted the hostel to advise me on what to do, The receptionist told me to cancel my booking and I would get my refund then I could proceed to book a bigger room which offers privacy. After following the advice, I called back to get my refund and I was simply told " YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MONEY AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT" so in summary here I am out of pocket due to me simply following the receptionist's advice. Just to let others know, This hotel, or whatever it is, is a Fraud. Bad service, purposefully misleading customers, and disgraceful.

As soon as I arrived I noticed a hostile environment with arguments between boss and employee. When I got to the room I looked at the bed and there wasn't even a fitted sheet, nor any towel. They told me that to use a towel I had to pay 3 euros and put a deposit of 10 euros ahahhaaha. As for the sheet, they told me that the bed was like that and that it would be hotter if they put a sheet on the mattress. The best thing was at night, the rooms do not have any type of ventilation and are an oven, the first day I had such a bad time that I left the hostel never to return, the second night I was unable to sleep in the room myself and the others We guests went out to the street to sleep because it was impossible to sleep there, it's not that they don't have air conditioning, they are so stingy that they don't even have a fan per room, but I did pay €160 for two nights in a shared room 2 kilometers away. of the people, in short, pathetic and never to be repeated. Thank you for NOTHING!

Good hostel in general, I upgraded for a private room because there is no locker to save your valuable things, the room is simple and the bed cover is not soft, it could be better for such price (price alsmost same as hotel). The breakfast was so perfect. I appreciated the Lausanne 1 day free transport ticket which is so practical to discover the city

I slept very well here. It's very large but very well managed, with plenty of parking. TIPS: 1) If you need to work, the first floor has several good tables but only one power point. 2) The dinner for 20 CHF is very good value -- soup, salad, bread, entree, dessert -- and you can have as much soup, salad and bread as you want. 3) The dining area has a nice view of the garden, which I found very peaceful.

Well the hotel location is 30 minutes walk from lausanne train station, you need to take metro from Lausanne train station then get down delicie & from delicie you need to take bus 25 which will drop you bois du vaux station from there 4 minutes walk you will find hostel. The room was not enough decorated, only one socket for charging in whole room, no shampoo, soap, towels provided all you need to buy from your self but receptionist was very helpful, breakfast was good. If you want low budget hotel then this is best for you otherwise spend more money for getting better options. They will provide you free travel card also so you may travel some areas only which is covered by travel card.

Worst place to sleep ever. Dirty, beds are not cleaned and the walls are so thin… I would rather try to sleep outside if it wasn’t cold.

The room was ok, the shower and toilet wasn't bad. Yet, as someone wrote healthy food... I might be picky, but nothing healthy was there, especially dinner was awful for 19.50 CHF... The most they should charge for that food is 5.90CHF. Guys, you are good, but make some changes there!

The food they offer as a dinner is so disgusting that we literally didn’t eat for two days and one of us had to throw up. The breakfast is ok nothing special the staff is mostly kind but sometimes very complicated. The bathrooms are dirty and the showers basically don’t work. The good thing is that u are near the lake where u can go for a swim.

Best place to stay for a budget trips as well as for long stay... Breakfast has many healthy options and in dinner as well . The quality of food is very good.. I must recommend this place for stay specially if you are traveling for 1-2 days in Switzerland and perfect place for students who have a budget and want to roam around Switzerland as they have many branches around Switzerland..

Love this hostel! Super tidy rooms and bathrooms, free breakfast with good coffee, super close to the lake for swimming! Very friendly staff as well.

Good, cheap (as for Switzerland) place with free breakfast yet with little spartan conditions, compensated by kind staff. Also you receive free public transportation card that is very useful because of otherwise expensive transportation tickets. Very close to International Olympic Committee and beach on the Leman lake.

One of the cheapest stays in Lausanne. The rooms were clean. They give a free bus pass for all the days of stay. Breakfast was free and great.

One of the staff told me to wear a shirt walking in the lobby since they have a dresscode (i went in with only shorts because it was 34 degrees and the location is 100m from the beach). The way she told me was very humiliating and not a way to treath a guest, 1h later I went to the reception to ask some questions. She was totally ignoring me like I was a ghost, helping other guests. The guests were even pointing at me as i was standing before them and she refused to help untill the que was empty. When i asked her why she did that her answer was: everybody come at the same time, what you want? Lady in her mid 40s, brunette, tall and very skinny fat. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and woman. Staff overall seem very unhappy and rather make you feel being in their way than welcome. Facility and rooms dirty. Wouldn’t recommend even if you get paid to stay. Worst place we’ve ever stayed at.

Great location and use of public transport is easy. Unfortunately our rooms were not given as previously arranged. They found solutions, but they were not all satisfactory. It was very loud in some dorm wings, and the noise restrictions between 10pm and 7am were not upheld. Some beds were not comfortable. It was clean and the food was ok.

Bunk beds are very noisy, difficult and dangerous to climb. The upper bed lacks lights and any place to store personal items

Wonderful place. Love to be there again. Very friendly and helpful staffs.

Functional (lots of concrete, including in the rooms). Loud thanks to echoes in the halls and children who make noise in the courtyard. On edge of town next to motorway, but well-connected by bus lines and near the lakeshore.

It was a terrible stay. The room is very bad, old, super dark. Bed is very uncomfortable, I struggled to sleep. No cleaning in the room! And actually the price is pretty high for this bad quality. You will find nice hotels for a bit higher price close to city center. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

I initially booked a dorm bed however when reaching and seeing the condition of the shared room, I just could not stay there. I had to immediately change to private room. The shared female dorm was unclean, with no lockers, no sufficient lights, and no space. Everyone's stuff was just lying in the whole room randomly and it was a mess. Even the shared bathrooms were not clean. Positive things: Breakfast, reception lounge and private rooms were okay.

Very basic room for the price (I booked for 150€): 1. One socket in the entire room for charging 2. Very less ventilation, in case you visit in summers The staff is good, polite and the common area is as lively as it should be for a hostel I would've rated even worse, but when I woke up at midnight, I could see stars from my room's top window which was magical, and made me a little less disappointed from the experience

As an international student / in general, the youth hostel Lausanne has been the best place I could have stayed at. We are always unsure how Airbnb would welcome us (mostly good still!). They have helped me and assisted me in a lot of ways, more than I could put into words. People at reception are very understanding and helpful (24/7). -They have different accommodations ranging from shared to double rooms. well maintained and regularly cleaned by the administration. Basic but has all that one needs. - Breakfast, is included in the package - You get travel support for short-term stays - Wifi is available - Laundry room is available - Hot water is available 24/7 - Area near reception is equipped with snack dispenser, sitting tables, TV, few games, etc. - They have open ground to play too Overall I had a great experience over my two-month stay there and especially the reception was super nice and helpful. I can't stop writing without mentioning Lucas. Not a lot of people say "we are here to help" but he said and was there. When you move into a new country especially you need something that you can trust. I bet you can trust the organization and they are well sorted out. Thanks for reading (30.11.2022)

Hostel is very expensive for low quality offered. No towels and soap. Internet is fast.Parking is outside in front of hotel with barrier. Room is dark and ugly and bad smell. Beds were very unconfortable. Breakfast is poor with just some salami, yoghurt and some jams. No supermakets nearby.

Stayed in a private room with private shower and toilet. Room was basic as expected in a hostel. Things are tidy and clean. Nice staff and nice breakfast. Was driving so that not sure about public transport. Hostel location has easy access to highway.
