People often mention lake, nice, camping, reception, showers, toilets, friendly, Lausanne, helpful, restaurant,

The camping itself is really large and is placed nicely by the water. The woman in the reception is extremely friendly. The camping has playgrounds and a restaurant where you can get good food and drinks, but kitchen is closed from around 13.30 to 19.00. It also has a shop where you can buy camping stuff and groceries. The beach and ocean is easily accessible through a gate. The only reason I give one less star is that the sanitary buildings seems to be from the ww2. Its really old, but its free so I cant complain. But as other people say, it works, but does not feel very clean. Free public transport pass are given out to go into the city during your stay. And free wifi. Washing machines and dryers.

The reason for two stars is simply because of the sanitary. The middle toilets and showers didn't even have lights at night. The toilets and showers aren't the most clean ones overall either. This, in combination with the low amount of toilets/showers in relation to camp spots is the reason for two stars. The reception was very nice, it's close to the beach (lake) and the camping offers entertainments in the weekend. It seemed like people had a lot of fun. I wouldn't recommend this camping for a long stay. We stayed 3 nights and left to continue our journey. If we would have stayed longer in Lausanne we would have left the campsite after two nights to find a different place. No pictures because those are only "moments". Our experience might not be yours, but we did want to share it with you.

Can really recommend this place, perfectly situated by the lake, good restaurant on the premises with really good crepes, super friendly guys that run it, basically all you search for in a camping ground.

Right on the lake. Free transport tickets for visiting Lausanne was a bonus. Downside - our pitch was next to the maintenance shed and a tractor pulling a train of wheelie bins went by at 8am (fine if you're an early riser!)

Great site and within walking distance from town. The showers were great hot and warm to be in. Toilets very clean. The reception was so helpful plus a free travel pass. Laundry on site and washing facilities. The camp does have permanent people on site but very quiet

Lovely girl, on reception and the campsite is ideal. Lovely and flat and only €20 for a tent and 2 cyclists. There was no problem getting us on, even though it was 7pm. before we arrived.

really great camping and I love that you din't need a reservation for a tend. friendly people and has everything that's needed. toilets and showers are alright and the restaurant is great, although it closes way earlier then what they say.

Of all the Swiss sites, this one was the most run down facilities, barest minimum of shop items and general maintenance. Bummer for the price point which was also the highest across all the 2 weeks. Could do with some love!

Nice place to be during the right season April to September I believe when restaurants and full services are at the full swing including the direct access to the lake. When we were there, part of the camp closed leaving only one spot for hot shower and two for toilets. All in all, it is nice setting camp few steps away from the lake (if the gate is open).

Receptionists lovely and extra helpful. Tent area ok ish. Restroom facilities weird but ok. Shop useful but limited, restaurant reasonable , on cycle path next to lake so lovely view.

It was a really really nice decision to opt for that site . The view was really beautiful. Washroom was neat and clean. Shower facilities was also available. They do have a late check-in option

A very nice camp with all facilities included… first of all the staff are very very friendly and helpful and they can talk I believe more than 5 languages… There is parking for big caravans, potable water, dumping, electricity, toilets stalls wit hot water and sinks for washing crockery… And the beach just meters away with a big park where you can prepare your own barbecue… The camp is divided in 2 sections, the one I would VIP which cost is around 50-60 euros per night (depending of number of people) and the another one with all same facilities for use but just outside the boundaries where we stay (I recommended), the fee is flat 24 euros per night

Nice camping with friendly receptionists. The electricity is placed a bit weird for the tent spots. Further than that the showers are clean but could use some renovation. It's super close the lake and a beach, and I really liked that we could get free bus tickets to the centre of Lausanne

The camping is nice, well organized and located. It's 3 minutes far from the lake, where there is the possibility to have BBQ even using public grills. Absolutely recommended

The site allowed great access to the lakeside - with a wide range of activities. Free bus travel from the site into Lausanne. Staff extremely helpful with excellent English spoken. Everything is recycled- which is great. Only 3 stars because the prices were very expensive and, quite frankly, the sanitary facilities (showers and loos) need to be bull-dozed and rebuilt as they are so outdated, questionable in their cleanliness and do not equate in quality to the cost of a night’s stay (€44/night)

Empfehlenswert!!

Really nice camping. We stayed for one night with a small tent. There are old but clean bathrooms, a restaurant and a shop. In 5 minutes you can walk to the really nice beach and park. We got free bus tickets so we could go easily to the city center, which was really nice. We enjoyed our stay and recommend Lausanne and this camping place.

Nice place, but way too expensive for what they offer. PRO - very nice area - friendly staff - parking next to the tent CON - very very old infrastructure. Didn't expect something like this would still exist. - Too few showers, there's a big line in the morning, quite annoying - 2 people, 1 small tent, 2 nights: 90.- CHF

There's a massive construction happening right next to this place. Expect to wake up to the romantic sounds of jack hammers and bulldozers. Also, somehow the whole place smells like the toilets. When we asked about this we were told this is due to the lake and old plumbing and, of course, the construction. This place would have been beautiful but I don't recommend camping here.

Great stop for a night and could happily have stayed longer. Stayed in the motorhome area rather than the campsite, access to water, electric and emptying point that were basic but did their job. Steps down to the campsite washing up, toilets, showers etc so sorry walk that most pitches. Really helpful lady on reception provided maps, info and free bus/metro tickets valid for 2 days. Used then to bus into the mariner and train into the old town which was quick and simple. Also for discounts in the city with the tickets so saved lots using them. Direct access to the lake from the site and we had a good meal at the restaurant with stunning lake views.

Very good serviceđź‘Ť. Nice guys in reception. One of them helped us to call to tire service to get appointment, coz we had some problem and needed to check it. Camping is located close to beautiful Leman lake. Very good organized. Good place to explore Lozanne by bikes

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and spacious spots just a few meters from the lakefront. Clean and well maintained facilities. Great restaurant.

Great campground. You come in and choose whatever spot is available to put up your tent. Had all the amenities you need: showers, toilets, wifi. Super close to the beach, and next to a bus stop. They also include free metro/bus passes for all Lausanne with your campground rental!

Clean and big Campingplace. Near to the City. You can walk along the lake to reach Lausanne. The reception was friendly as well.

Great place if in your motorhome lots of space electric hook up good showers and toilets. WiFi available if your close to reception if not you won't connect. Very helpful reception lots of information for the tourist

Real nice campsite, close to the lake and friendly service. Only inconvenience was the cleaning time of the toilets and showers when you stay at the end of the campsite. This was every morning around 8:30 to 9:30.

  • 3/5 Zuzanna 2 years ago on Google
You need to pay to use really bad WiFi which doesn’t work in 90% of camping. It disconnects all the time. Toiletes are being cleaned at 7 o’clock so if you want to go early sightseeing you can’t because you will be waiting 30 min in front of the toilet.
