😠 I stopped taking trains, too dirty, no place to sit, expensive and worst of all they on purpose leave their sweat boxes reach 30 degrees inside, you could die of heat stroke. My last ride I had a very hard time breathing, can’t even open windows. People have also become worse with their feet all ove... People often mention station, train, service,

I stopped taking trains, too dirty, no place to sit, expensive and worst of all they on purpose leave their sweat boxes reach 30 degrees inside, you could die of heat stroke. My last ride I had a very hard time breathing, can’t even open windows. People have also become worse with their feet all over the seats, some visible don’t even take showers etc. It’s a bad place to be. The whole station smells like urine all the time.

Well its big main station in Lausanne Switzerland & almost all trains connection passing through from there, they do have several shops, coffee cafes, mini marts etc elevators also available, metro station also very close & main central area where you can find bus stops, restaurants, outlets, bars, cafes and many more. Ticket machines also available on several spots & if you cant get ticket from machines then approach service center then get token & wait for your turn. Their service center customer support also very very helpful & will guide you each n every step.

The whole station has one WC, badly indicated and payable. So if you dont have change, you are screwed. No wonder there is smell of piss in places. Penny wise and pound foolish.

8 platforms are not enough for 4 railway lines!, and it takes forever to build one more. Others would station two short commuter trains, one in front of the other, on the same platform. Every generation, the not so ingenious engineers need to rebuild this station, this beyond common sense!

Disgusting place. Smells like urine all the time. It is embarrassing for swiss citizens that our train stations are in this state

Small train station with shops and quick food spots, easy to navigate and have 2 supermarkets on each side, hep travellers to grab a quick bite. The railway info office is small with 10 mins waiting time, the staff are not friendly but very helpful!

Medium-large sizes train station with outstanding facilities and several option for a quick bite. It’s perfectly located to get just about anywhere in Lausanne, with bus stops, a metro station in front and taxis a plenty. Look out for the bakery in main hall that serves baked delights, a Subway sandwich place, and Tibits that offers an amazing vegetarian buffet by weight

This is the busiest station in canton of vaud. With 9 platforms and connections to Geneva, Zurich, Brig, Bern, Paris, Milan, Venice and many more. The station has an entrance from south and north. There are many small eateries along with an Indian restaurant. We have Coop pronto super market which is open till 11pm. There are ATM of many banks as well. The station is connected by metro and by bus. The last train is at around 00:58 am towards Nyon and the next is to Geneva Airport at 03:51 am. With multiple self service ticket counter it is a breeze to get your tickets, if you know where you are heading towards. The SBB counter for in person tickets close by 5pm.

It's not ok! i dont find it normal that there is no place to sit ever in mornings and evenings in 2nd class and people sit in the air and surfaces!!!! and in 1st class is half empty space. You think its normal??? Tickets are overpriced! and no places! Tickets prices should be reduced and ofc more train needed to avoid this terrible situation. And if no places in 2nd let ppl sit in 1st!!! Yo can do it!

The Lausanne station is typical, nothing much to say about the handful of shops and services available. The downside begins with customer service, where ticket office vendors/reps are not always helpful. The rep I talked to today looked a bit like Grizzly Adams (in terms of beard and age), but acted more like a bear. He was very reluctant to help me when a late platform change resulted in me missing an important connection. I'll spare the details, but he did everything in his power to NOT help me, until he realized I wasn't going to go away without an updated ticket. After demanding a supervisor or someone else to help several (possibly 100?) times, he relented. When a customer is stressed about missing a train due to no fault of their own, service reps should help, no? And not compound the problem. Other than this bad service experience, the station seems to constantly be under some form of construction. Nothing major, but give yourself an extra minute or two to get to your platform. And good luck!

Like most train stations in Europe, it's clean and the trains are punctual.

The station staff is really very very very helpful and approachable. I've been in Rome and Paris but no where was any of the staff this informative and hospitable. This place earns my 5 stars just because of the people working there. Hats off to them 🙌
