I’ve lived in Philly, Brooklyn, Berlin and Paris, and the one thing that makes a place feel like home is having a bar or cafe that feels great to just walk into. I was nervous about moving to a smaller city like Montpellier, that I wouldn’t be able to have a connection to my neighborhood like I had with others. The owners and Staff at De la Sierra put those fears to rest after the first visit over a year ago. Not only is it apparent they care about their clients, they also care about their product and the vendors that provide it. As an amateur coffee nerd, I love discovering their range of roasts and the attention to detail they put into the coffee. France has a reputation for bad coffee in general, but it’s roasters like De La Sierra that are changing that perception with every shot they pull and cup they pour. I always look forward to my next visit with them.

Very bad experience with this café. First of all they served me a hot chocolate with powdery taste, coffee wasn't great either as the reviwes tell. the servers don't speak english, and they are not welcoming towards tourists at all. If you're not a regular, you're out of their routine. There is not many people coming to this place. I understand why. Such a shame. Seemed like a good place.

Consistently great coffee and lovely atmosphere. Really friendly, top-notch people working here. I'm a regular. Montpellier desperately needed a coffee shop like this, with plenty of room outdoors to sit and indoors (to chat or work). Plus, there's a family connection to one of the coffee growers. Laptop-friendly. (Plus, if you go, maybe you'll be lucky enough to catch Kobe.) Vegan options: non-dairy milk, (including oat milk), vegan banana bread.

Traveling through the south of France for work, I was recommended to visit De la Sierra Coffee Roasters, incredible atmosphere, modern decoration, very friendly staff and the coffee... the best I've ever had, a lot of variety, they even spoke to me in Italian 😱
