Has EVERYTHING! If you're short on time and don't have time to run around to several stores, this is the place to go. They have the normal department store items like designer clothing, shoes, accessories, cosmetics but they also have a whole home section with furniture, lighting, kitchen and dining ware, food and gift items, a whole basement full of hardware, rows upon rows of cleaning products, shoe care, drawer and door handles, custom fabrics for furniture and curtains you name it. The best part is that all the items are mid to high-end quality with many made in France or Europe! Heavenly!

Its an amazing shopping destination. It has great brands under one roof, amazing collection but the food is the biggest highlight. Loved their options for lunch on the rooftop. The beautiful view of Paris and delicious food. People are cheerful and welcoming. Great desserts.

Probably my favorite department store in Paris. My must visit very time I come to Paris. It’s the store that every single time that I could make successfully purchase. Very nice bag collection, accessories and clothes. It’s located opposite the city hall and the longest shopping street. You don’t want to miss it.

Good department shop! Payment is a bit confusing, since one every floor there are small cashiers where you can pay only for some products that they cover, and one central cashier where you can pay for everything. It’s confusing and also makes for long lines at the central cashier while the rest (small cashiers) stand empty. I’m sure that with proper software you can make a more optimal use of these payment points.

Where do you shop for some of the best art and craft supplies plus everything else? And BHV is in The Marais, which is even cooler. Extensive collection of the coolest office, pens, art supplies, accessories in Paris.

It was a wonderful market.... They have very beautiful designs on different product... Can be found anything you need but food though, there is some cake and sweet stuff in the coffee shop... There is iron pen and pots. Possible to find S hooks (always) that i was looking for more then 2 month because I didn't wanted to buy is from online... So i will say it's perfect option to make house beautiful... Let me tell you that it's very expansive store though it's expansive but the most important thing is what you looking for you can find it here...

Very beautiful department store filled with products for every area of life- clothing, kids, cooking, papetrie..... We didn't see much of a sale on anything, hardly anything on clearance, but everything is mid-range price. There is an observation on the kids floor!:)

Great shopping spot with affordable prices, tax free office and wide range of brands (unlike other high end places). The picture was taken on the first floor of the main building where they have the massive ecto-1 vehicle from the 80s Ghostbusters movie, really cool to see! There is also a separate 5 storey building for men clothing in the backstreet, you will definitely find something to buy.

Wonderful mall with many departments. Fantastic arts and crafts department that had materials other art stores did not - like Caran D'ache luminance pencils and Clairfontaine pastelmat paper and pencil cases. Reasonable prices. Lovely book store. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants. Came several times and hope to return!

One of my all time favorite store/department store in Paris. Very organized, clean, and beautiful. The staff is always pleasant and happy to help you. Anything you can think of, the store has it! Would definitely recommend visiting if you are in Paris.

I could spend days in this store. My go to place for any DIY or craft project. My go to place for unique pet supplies. I love that I can get a gift for a kid’s birthday party, a new lamp, candles, new tights, the latest book, craft paper, sewing supplies, perfume, glue, bathroom cleaner and closet organizers all in one place. Oh, and bicycle supplies! So, I usually leave with a full bicycle basket! In recent years, staff has become super friendly and helpful. Although I hate shopping, I always love a trip to BHV.

If you can’t find it at the BHV, it’s probably not to be found! More than six floors spread over an entire city block, this amazing department store has everything from designer brands to wall paint and things for your garden. It’s sometimes so large that you have to ask a few people where you can find what you’re looking for but it’s there! Great selection of things at great prices - especially during less soldes - but always a fun place to shop. Located in the vibrant, exciting Marais district, there’s even more to do all around.

Great department store. They sell everything from home decors, clothes for women, luggages, electronics, kitchen stuff. Very convenient to metro to the old place Marais.

Thank you Jon (I hope your name is Jon!) at BHV! My husband and traveled to Paris during the last leg of our visit to France. I had brought my lap top to France as I had to work with coaching clients and a few projects in between touring, eating great food and spending time with friends. I experienced a bit of a crisis when my computer suddenly wasn't working correctly again. Having had a positive experience at your branch in Lyon (a different technology challenge) we made haste for the Marais store. Jon (dreadlocks, a lovely, personable guy in the computer section) listened patiently as I shared my plight, was able to help me and more importantly, found the device I needed to keep my computer alive and kicking. So thank you, for your help and for having an excellent command of the English language. It might have been a normal customer service transaction for you, but it wasn't for me. You are an excellent example of why having trained, knowledgeable staff members makes such a difference when it comes to a customer service experience. Merci! Regards, Julienne

Fun selection of designer clothes and shoes, great candles and housewares as well as food and gifts. Head here if you’re looking for an upscale shopping trip with a Michelin starred lunch hidden on the upper level.

I chose and BHV confirmed my delivery window of 2 hours, between 12-14h. very early the morning of the delivery I received a text announcing a delivery window from 12-15h. I called to say this was not what I asked for or accepted and I was told the person could not change the delivery time but it looked to her that I would be one of the first delivered that afternoon. Of course I wasn't. The delivery man never called before his arrival which had also been announced and arrive at the 14:35. When I showed him my confirmed delivery of 12-14h he said it wasn't his problem. And when I noticed I was being delivered 4 cartons and not 5 as expected, I told him I now needed to verify every item. He said with a more than aggressive tone he had no time to wait for that. I told him at that point just to leave and I would file a complaint. Shopping mains Libres is supposed to make life easier. It did not do that.

Beware, BHV are not serious. I have made a purchase at Jonak for my wife and the shoes didn’t fit because they were too small they refused to exchange for a higher size while there is a 30 days policy. It’s not the first time I hear this kind of unprofessionalism at BHV.

It's a modern and cozy shopping mall. They have one floor which sells books and stationery , small electric appliances, which is so well organized that one would want to buy everything. I like it so much that each time I went to Paris I could find sth for myself and my family.

The best authentic retails shop for the Parisians. Good deal. Good price. No tourists. American Express card accepted. Tax refounds in the shop. The real Parisian experience. Don’t miss the lower ground floor DIY (all year long) and the windows at Christmas. Busy rooftop. Men’s clothes in another building.

This might sound weird, but I feel in love with this department store. I told you it was weird. The store had everything and reminded me of how shopping used to be in the US before everything went online. You could buy hardware, electronics, clothes, books, arts and crafts, wallpaper, furniture, etc. There is even a small Eataly Cafe. The men's clothing store across the street is also huge. Five stars!

Best destination to look for a gift. You can find almost everything in one place. It is not recommended to get here by car, you will spend more time to look for a parking than the shopping itself.

Fine enough, nothing exceptional, nothing negative. It’s always well stocked, good variety of brands and products all in one place. A good alternative to the more posh department stores in Paris, with a wider variety. It’s also a bit more foreigner friendly than the others in the sense that there’s no snobbery. They also have good sales often and of course it’s very well located especially if you need to do some shopping at other places as well.

Definitely the place where you can find everything in Paris, a book, an outfit, new sneakers or a washing machine! 😅 Huge variety of products (it can be confusing) but you'll sure find what you're looking for! Recommended!

A very nice deparment store, actually an attraction in itself. Lots of expensive perfume brands and handbags and lots of accessories. My wife thought she was in heaven!

Great department store. There are a lot of recognized brands to choose from

  • 5/5 Luisa L. 2 years ago on Google
It has a bit of everything, a proper department store. A lot of brands, but not as much option than in the brand stores. If you want to buy lots of different types of stuff this is a great place. And everything is high quality.

  • 4/5 Jean C. 2 years ago on Google
Expensive, both in price and in choice. You can find about anything in this place: furniture, DIY stuff, toys, bathroom utility, carpets, wristwatches... Worth a visit just to look at all the fancy products they sell there.

Lunch here today was very good. I had. Steak and baby baked potatoes with a delicious light dessert. Everything was be5rr than expected. Only negative in entire trip there was finding a place to sit down for a minute to rest. Wish they offered more seating for older shoppers. Bought some yarn and accessories. Nice store

It's very crowded during the weekend. No doubt that the range of products is very interesting. But not sure about buying anything outside their sale. Very little bathrooms for such a big department store

Everthing you could need from tools to great bar with a view on summer.

best place in Paris for everyday items at a not-so-high-Paris-price

A great department store on the edge of Le Marais. It even has a dedicated menswear shop across from the main store. I think that says something about the sartorial demands of French me. Well worth a visit.

Poor Customer Service: Bought a Redoute duvet cover last week. Opened it partly, found the material to be poor quality and refolded it back into the packaging. 1st Assistant criticized me for returning it «  how are we expected to resell this » because apparently I hadn’t folded it quite correctly. 2nd Assistant «  there are no refunds on bedding » The receipt which clearly stated 30 day refund policy ( with exceptions listed in the shop) Asked to see the refund policy but instead I was told « since Covid we can refuse refunds » They then decided of course I could have a refund. New problem, apparently I’d paid in cash so I was told in a very unpleasant tone that I couldn’t have a refund, rather than « unfortunately we can only refund to a credit card» which wasn’t a problem for me at all. Generally how to create problems and speak in a critical tone is unusual for this store pour and regrettable.
