Pros: there is almost nothing nice besides some flowers, Cons: it's very difficult to say what my feelings were, it's not the medieval square anymore, the only thing left here is a pile of stones, a crucifix and a statue of Joan, plus the closed church with some trash around, it's terrible to hear the bustle of the city, to see and hear the rushy lifestyle of people, there is even the fish market? or smelly-chees store? strange people were everywhere, stench, noise, it didn't remind me of humility nor sadness nor reflection at all... it's a shame that this place isn't converted into a quiet, peaceful park with a couple of benches where a person could think in silence...

Seriously?! This is it?! This is absolutely ugly! I mean Rouen is a beautiful city, but this church is just ugly, the cross is too. I'd tear that down and build it back.

The place where the young lady lost her life hundreds years ago and now It's peaceful and beautiful. Under the wavy roof(not sure if it is to resemble fire) is a lovely market, like the seafood stand especially where one can buy fresh catch with fair price

Small garden and monument to commemorate the location where St. Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. The monument is a very large cross inside the garden.

Simple but beautifully sad. Take a moment to sit here and think of the poor young lady who lost her life to the fires. Misguided? Martyr? Saint? Whatever your belief, no one deserves this. But she deserves your thoughts in this peaceful spot. RIP Jean d’Arc

A nice monument indicating where Joan of Arc was burned on a stick.

Not much on the outside of the church, but a must visit when in Rouen.
