If you are absolutely desperate for a place to stay for a single night, you could get away with staying at Hôtel de Choisy. Otherwise, I would not recommend it to ANYONE else. The hotel is completely stripped of all charm - it felt like you were walking into a kiosk where you are met with uninterested staff. The place feels dirty and the rooms are not comfortable at all. The toilet in my room was broken, the shower head was dripping and there was no running hot water. Furthermore, there was a cat running around the breakfast area, and the food was edible but a waste of money. If you are planning a trip to Paris, spend the extra money and stay another place - you will be disappointed.

On the plus, the location couldn't have been better. Right across from a park, surrounded by restaurants and close to everything. Now the downside: The bed was terrible - the mattress had collapsed and I was practically on the floor. The room was tiny, had-to-turn-sideways-to-get-past-the-bed tiny, and the bathroom was minuscule. You could not turn around in the shower without hitting either the toilet cistern or the tap. The bathroom flooded every time as the shower curtain didn't reach the floor. The location really did go a long way towards making this tolerable, but after a few nights of not sleeping I was glad to move on.

We stayed for one night to prevent us from sleeping at the gare or on the streets since we had an early train to catch. Horrible experience. The bathroom door didn't close fully and the lights there were "automatic" and while they didn't turn off, there was horrible noises coming from the fan on the bathroom. It took 10/15 minutes to turn off and then randomly it turned on again. Also, the electronic card didn't work, and worse, we could not lock the door of the room so we had to put the desk and chair against the door to feel safe. The bathroom was not very clean, the shower specifically. The only positive point was the receptionist who was nice but the rest of the experience was not great at all, and thankfully we only stayed for one night

One star for the fact that the bed is confortable enough despite being barely bigger than a single person bed, for a double room. Only one electric plug... Moldy, dirty and smelly bathroom. See by yourself. For the price, I've been in much much better hotels.

PLACE (3/10): A hotel located on the outskirts of Paris. It's very narrow, a makeshift place converted from an apartment building. The rooms are quite shabby; unfortunately, we could hear EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING, from the adjacent room. PRICE (6/10): Reasonable compared to counterparts and for this area. It was 62 Euros, although it didn't deserve it, it was still reasonable. SERVICE (5/10): Acceptable. One thing caught my attention. They say if you're half an hour late, they charge you for the whole day; they're not sensitive about anything else, but they're very strict about this :) Love of money I guess. ATTITUDE (5/10): The folks at the reception were probably reluctantly doing their job; they seemed eager to finish the day. The lady handling cleaning duties, on the other hand, was kind. CLEANLINESS (5/10): Average. ADDITIONAL FEES AND HIDDEN COSTS (4/10): They will definitely charge a city tax per person, it's not included in the reservation, but they won't forget. It was probably 3-5 euros per person. OVERALL IMPRESSION: It might be worth considering just because it's cheap. If you have other alternatives, I recommend exploring those.

Nice location but terrible accommodation. It just wasn’t worth the money, even though it is in Paris they should charge €35/night max due to the poor quality service. The employees are very good!

Very bad experience Very dirty room I would describe the room as a trash can I would report it to the tourism and health departments of France this (so called hotel) should be closed The towels were dirty, and all the sheets were also very dirty if I didn't arrive late near mid night and was very exhausted I wouldn't stayed a minute in this room.

Cheap among Vietnamese district. Close to Park Choisy which is nice to run around after work. Karim at the reception desk is very friendly

Not as bad as most reviews say... the bed is comfortable and the room is "clean enough".

Very bad customer service and they refuse to make any accommodations or adjustments to your stay, especially during these circumstances

Good and cheap option to stay in Paris a few days. We had bathroom inside the room and the closer metro station was at 5 minutes walking.

This is a decent little hotel in a decent part of the city. It was a little cramped, especially the bathroom. We had some trouble finding a comfortable temperature for sleeping, as there was quite a bit of street noise with the windows open. The staff were very nice, and the continental breakfast was a treat.

I have to say first that I took my responsabilities when I chose to book this economic hotel the very last moment and that I even read the clause which specified that the payment could not be refoundable in any case but still I booked (in my name) for me and my sister, who is under 18, thinking nothing could happened...HOWEVER....after a day spent in the city, I finally went to the hotel to get check-inned, I got severe problems for my sister though, who wasn't able to sleep in the room we booked. I uderstood that a minor should be vacationing whit just its parent (nor an authorization from the parents themselves is enough) but still, I think every client should be aware of these kind important informations from the specific structure (because not every hotel/hostels have this norm as matter of facts the final solution from the receptionist was to book the hotel nearby for this minor: he could not even let leave her suitcase). After resolving the problem by myself thanks to a french friend who let her in his house, I came back to the hotel cause I could stare there so I did it to not waste the money but I had to wait another half of hour cause my room wasn't opening due to a problem with the electronic door lock so I was gave another key card for another room. I supposed they did't have any more rooms because I was sent in a desolated wing of the building under construction. I asked multiple times to talk with the owner of the hotel but I could not even speak at the phone with him and the only times I could see him was just in the mornings from 10:30 to the next hour. I mean, I could not waste a whole morning in waiting so I gave up. Another desturbing fact is that neither of the two receptionists could speak english, so I had to involve other people to translate the whole serious conversations. A DISASTER. My only good opinion is that they had a very comfortable matresses. I suggest every tourist to get informed everywhere if minors are allowed even without parents cause it could be a huge impredicted problem.
