Frédéric and Jean-Luc are INCREDIBLE hosts! They are two of the most welcoming hosts I've ever stayed with. The breakfast they make each morning was definitely one of our favorite memories from our time in Paris- homemade jams, eggs laid by the hens outside, fresh bread from the boulangerie, fantastic juices, freshly made crepes... All in their very peaceful dining room. The villa itself is unbelievably beautiful, and the garden in the back is very charming. I wish we had more time to just relax in that lovely garden. The room we stayed in had a great view of Château de Sceaux, and interior of the house is so nicely decorated. Each day Frédéric and Jean-Luc even put together a list of recommended sights for us to visit that were near where we had plans each day. We highly recommend this delightful bed & breakfast. If you choose to stay here, we recommend not over packing your schedule- give yourself time to enjoy the villa and garden, and allow some time just to get to know your delightful, friendly hosts. Also, to get the freshest most complete breakfast experience, check in with them on boulangerie opening times as they prefer to buy fresh food the morning of for each breakfast. We rearranged our schedule slightly (aiming for 8am breakfast as opposed to 7am) to make sure we got the freshest breakfast experience most mornings. :)

In all my travels I have never encountered hosts who were as warm and welcoming as Frederic and Jean Luc. From the moment we rang their doorbell, we were embraced by their enthusiasm to address our every need, and make their lovely home our restful retreat outside of Paris. The four of us shared two rooms on the upper level of the home, each room with its own bathroom, shower, and sitting area. In the morning we were greeted by a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, baguette, jam, butter coffee, juice and more. The location in a sweet neighborhood was convenient to the RER train into the city. There were also lovely attractions in the immediate area to explore. By the time we left, my husband, son, friend and I felt we were saying au revoir to excellent friends. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, comfortable and quiet space outside the city.

These gentlemen were the most welcoming and wonderful hosts anyone could ask for. They open their home to guests, ensuring that any need you may have is met. Juno, the cat, is also just as welcoming, and is happy for loving petting sessions. As a solo traveler on business, I was delighted to be able to stay in a warm, loving environment. Any way they could help my stay be easier, they made sure they did it. The home is beautifully decorated, and the breakfasts were the best part of my days. With an easy commute to the city via the RER B, this is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Paris. You will not be disappointed.

Where to start? Our little family has been lucky enough to travel extensively throughout the years and we have never been to a Chambres d'Hotes as special as The Villa de la Terrasse. It truly is your home away from home and Frédéric and Jean-Luc are so attentive, so kind and professional that you feel you are part of their family. Their beautiful traditional house is cozy, super clean, spacious, calm and full of light. It is decorated with the upmost taste and the attention to details is amazing. The breakfast is pure delight and everything is homemade. If you are lucky enough to stay a few days, you will notice that the menu changes everyday, same for the table linen and decoration. One thing never changes though: the hosts' kindness and "bonne humeur" The location is extremely practical. Whether you are coming by car or using public transportation, the RER is basically at the end of the street. There are also several buses nearby and the towns surrounding the Villa are very typical of the region. We have stayed at the Villa de la Terrasse three times in less than a year and we cannot wait to be back! A big MERCI to Frédéric and Jean-Luc for being amazing hosts!!

We stayed 4 nights at Villa de la Terrasse and can't wait to our next visit! Frederic and Jean-Luc are simply the best hosts we've ever had: they are warm and welcoming, very kind, and catered to everyone's needs. We have 2 children and it was not a problem. The house is spotless clean, tastefully decorated, elegant and comfortable at the same time. The home-made breakfasts are out of this world!!! The house is conveniently located near RER B, which takes you to Paris in 15 minutes. We enjoyed everything about our stay, and look forward to our next one! A bientot! Valerie & Co

T r u l y u n i q u e e x p e r i e n c e - where to start! This was an unforgettable weekend, I stayed here in the “penthouse”, with my friend. We both took our sons, two and a half each. As a parent you’re only happy after your child is 😉The chickens, the garden, the delicious breakfast, the soaps and tea, sweets, chocolates - you name it, the hosts thought of it. For the cat lovers around, there’s also a beautiful cat roaming around, actually he’s the boss. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt! Comfortable bed, the hosts met all my expectations and beyond. Real value for money, and you’re in the heart of Paris by RER in no time. If you like to bike, rent a bike and you’re 10km outside of the city. I just want to come back and stay forever if that would be possible.

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa de la Terrasse. The kind hosts have created beautiful, relaxing and very comfortable surroundings, with delicious and varied breakfasts. Highly recommended.

I stayed in Villa de La Terrase over 3 days with my wife, my baby (one and a half year old) and a friend. The first impression that will stay on my mind is how clean, organised and pleasant the house is. I even asked Frederic, are you sure that you live here? He was perfect in every detail. He is very attentive and helpful, gave me all the instructions about the transportation to go to Paris and helped me to go out as well, as I got a wrong way from the satnav to come to his house. As you can see in the comments above I came with my baby and we haven't had any problems!! Also be sure that all the amenities and services described on the description of the page are the minimum that he does, for sure he exceeded all of our expectations!!! My friend Bayleigh and I began our trip through Europe in Paris this summer and it wouldn’t have been so memorable without Frederic and Jean-Luc. Their home is just outside Paris which gave us the unique experience of being away from the hustle and bustle and truly have a glimpse of French lifestyle. The breakfast each morning was amazing and was the perfect start to each day. They truly understand the definition of hospitality. From helping us navigate with public transportation to suggestions for places to visit and eat we could not have had a better time because of our stay at their beautiful home. We hope to visit our newly found friends again soon.
