This is my 3rd time staying at Hotel De L'Abbaye St Germain for an extended period of time and it never disappoints! The small 4-star boutique hotel is in a lovely location close to shopping and great restaurants (Pizza Chic, Cafe Flore, Wild and the Moon, etc.). The breakfast in the mornings out in the garden courtyard is always so lovely. Each room is unique with its own fabrics, beds are super comfy, and the AC works great! Could not recommend this hotel more!

We absolutely loved this hotel and will be back. The rooms and entire hotel were beautiful. The location was excellent. Although every aspect of the hotel was outstanding, the part that we loved the most was the staff. We felt treated like family. We would spend our afternoons working in the lobby / restaurant, which felt like spending time in a gorgeous living room, attended to by caring family members. Keep it up.

Cannot recommend Hôtel de l'Abbaye enough so wanted to make sure I put in the effort for a review. I chose this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend and thought it was the perfect fit given both the location and value. My stay there far exceeded my expectations. My simple room was comfortable, convenient, and perfectly suited for my needs on the trip. The bed was supremely comfortable and I slept well throughout the entire trip. The hotel staff was above and beyond amenable both leading up to and during my stay - including making our many dining reservations. The waitstaff throughout our stay was exceptional and we enjoyed seeing the same faces everyday for both breakfast and evening drinks. I didn't anticipate to spend as much time as I did at the hotel but their breakfast was so enjoyable and the salon for cocktails was so cozy that we ended up spending a substantial amount of our time there both in the mornings and evenings. I can't wait to go back! It will definitely be my preferred Paris hotel moving forward. Thanks to everyone at Hôtel de l'Abbaye who helped make our trip seamless and enjoyable.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel de L’Abbaye. Hotel staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. Lobby and dining areas are perfect. Location is also great, near Luxembourg Gardens and great restaurants, shopping and just exploring. Rooms are so comfortable and quiet! Will definitely return on my next trip to Paris. Highly recommend.

No stay t This is just a warning to you all in order not to waste your time. This hotel doesn't accept group reservation. Only individual request It would be fair then to have a notice on the website (unless I am mistaken ) Thanks

An absolute gem of a hotel and place, and charming in every possible way. Love the courtyard, the breakfast, the staff, the amenities. Extremely comfortable and well-appointed rooms that I looked forward to returning to at the end of the day. Felt like a real treat to stay here. Have stayed elsewhere in Paris (Le Bristol, etc), and this place - while smaller - is just as wonderful, just in a different way. We will be back!

I've been here as a child (14 years ago) and came back this past weekend. Possibly my favourite hotel in the world. The staff are so helpful and polite, they'd likely help you rob a bank, and offer to carry the money bags. I'll be back!

While we still had to uber to most tourist spots, we enjoyed this hotel. It was close to restaurants and shopping. The courtyard and reception area were nice for having a drink at the end of the day.

Returned to the Hotel de l'Abbaye after 18 years. It hasn't lost any of its wonderful romantic charm, high quality service and hospitality. We so enjoyed the helpful staff during our week-long visit. I highly recommend it.

I stayed here years ago, and appreciated the attention to detail which one pays for at a hotel like this, and which one should have the right to expect at this price-point. That attention to detail seems to have disappeared. The room was well decorated, but cloth window curtains in the shower? No charging points free for phones? There was very little to welcome me to my room. Filtered water in glass bottles, with a strict sign saying that I would be charged 15E for removing one. No refreshments, ok, so I head to the bar, after hunting down someone to get my room-key (no one at the desk) at 10:50PM where the man working the bar is taking orders from other guests, but informs me the bar is closed. I say that’s fine but I am thirsty after travelling and there is nothing in my room. He begrudgingly says he can “try” to get me a drink. He brings me a diet soda with no ice and after pouring it asks me if I want ice. Bizarre. Breakfast was a similar shambles. While presented visually well, I had no time between courses before it was all brought to the table at once, which was unwieldy. The scrambled eggs were not scrambled, it was a plate of dry, mashed up sautéed massacred egg. I originally asked for a carafe of water and I got a glass. I asked for my glass to be refilled, and that waiter simply disappeared. So, after 20 minutes, I asked the host (a different man) for another glass of water, and this time he returned with a carafe, which was dropped on the table, unceremoniously. Curiously, my coffee top-up then came with a milk jug filled with boiling water. I still don’t understand what I was meant to do with that, I couldn’t bother to find out at this point. I checked my bags, so I could take a stroll through the jardin de luxembourg before catching my train. My large canvas tote had been left in the lobby, open for all to see or pick through, my new suit, thankfully, had been hung in the back. Trying to explain this to the front desk was like pulling teeth, in both English and French - I was pressed for time at this point and entirely out of patience. The reception person insisted my suit was in my room. I explained I had checked out earlier, which is why my suit and baggage were with reception, the penny seemed to drop that the suit would have been hung somewhere, and the man eventually went behind the desk and retrieved my suit. He then asked me to settle. I explained I had settled up earlier, when I stored my bag at reception. He apparently did not believe me, and demanded to know my room number. I gave it to him, which I guess satisfied him, as I rushed out the door to catch my Eurostar. I will not stay at this hotel again, while rich in material for a comedy of errors, the price no longer equates to quality, and the staff are openly rude and slovenly.

I stopped at the Hotel to enjoy a hot drink in their fabulous and quiet lounge, where you can choose to sit cozily in comfortable sofas or upholstered chairs by the fireplace, or else by the wonderful veranda for a fantastic view into the garden. My cappuccino was delicious, and the service impeccable. I’m very glad I discovered this beautiful gem.

A fantastic little boutique hotel on the left bank. Great staff and great location. Walking distance to all the downtown and very near the Metro for things further afield like Montmartre. The bar and the outside courtyard were a magical place for a drink to end the day.

Had the pleasure of staying here for our honeymoon. Small quiet hotel. Staff and accomodations were excellent. Short walk to Luxembourg Gardens and close to mass transit. Would stay here again when we visit Paris in the future.

I cannot say how much we loved this Hotel , I almost don't want to write a review to keep it to myself. Frederick and the entire staff were so hospitable to us. Although we only stayed about 4 days the accommodations and decor were exactly as imagined my Paris experience would be !! So thank you!! So grateful for everyone who made it so memorable. A special thanks to Frederick!!! Frank Cuomo August 2018

Great little secret tucked away in Paris. The staff was kind and helpful and provided EXCELLENT-(super fast) service for all of our requests and room service needs. Hotel has very relaxing atmosphere with cozy lounge areas. The Le Chamber room was very small but clean and nicely appointed, and we made the room size work-no problem. Great location with many good restaurants and shops in walking distance. Hotel is situated off a small street or alley which provided a safe and peaceful escape. We were a family of 5 and always felt safe staying here. The staff would many times be waiting for us upon our return at the entrance with our room keys. I would highly recommend this hotel, we were all very pleased with our 11 night stay at the Hotel De L’ Abbay.

Hôtel de l'Abbaye Saint Germain is a beautiful, incredibly run hotel! Everyone here is so accommodating and kind to their guests. It is only a 4 star hotel, but I don't see why they are not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are all unique and beautifully decorated. I stayed there when I first arrived in France and again when I left. The rooms I stayed in were different and each uniquely beautiful. Additionally, they have a a great front and back patio where you can sit and enjoy snacks and drinks. For a hotel in the middle of the city, I thought both the rooms and hotel as a whole was pretty spacious. Everything was also very clean and my room was impeccably clean every evening! The service here was remarkable and I would not stay anywhere else in Paris!

We had a lovely time in this charming hotel, perfectly matching with the Pre-Christmas atmosphere. The staff was very kind, helpful and all one could expect. The hotel is located in the vicinity of parking and our car was safe there during the weekend. Being at walking distance from the very center of the city and close to a metro station all necessary boxes were ticked.

This is an older upscale hotel in Paris. I would recommend it if you are willing to pay for a larger room than the standard size. The basic rooms are quite small by American standards. Service is very good. Prices are high, but you are in Paris so that is to be expected. The decor is great with a beautiful courtyard. The hotel is on a relatively quiet street, but near many restaurants and shops. Again, I would recommend this small hotel if you are willing to spend the money. We had a great time in a beautiful city.

This is my second stay at this elegant, quiet, and charming hotel. The lounge and garden are the perfect spots for vreakfast and to unwind after a busy day. The guest rooms are large by European standards and nicely appointed. The staff was very gracious and helpful. They sorted out a mistake I made in my online reservation (I had reserved two types of rooms), and were able to accommodate our preferred room type. I will stay there again when I return to Paris!

Such a wonderful boutique hotel. Duplex room was authentically old world french. Staff were superior in their friendliness, efficiency, and attitude. Breakfast was incredibly delicious every morning. Our server, Mamet, was the absolute best.

My wife and I went for a long weekend, and had an absolutely amazing time. Great little tucked in hotel, with exceptional staff and a very authentic Paris atmosphere. Free basic breakfast in the morning with great coffee and bread. Met some wonderful people. Great location for exploring the city. Can't wait to stay there again our next trip.

Stayed at L’Abbaye last July for 5 days. Lovely staff & hotel but my gorgeous junior suite air conditioner barely worked. For 2 full days my bedroom wall that was the same wall facing the back street under construction vibrated with the jack hammer & loud noise against my headboard. I politely addressed the issue but basically they apologized & shrugged their shoulders. I had a massive headache & moved to Villa Madame, another beautiful boutique & favorite hotel to stay for me now.
