This is my first time at an Indian restaurant in Erbil. I ordered vegetable Samosa , the crust was very hard and there was only a potato filling , NO veges! Butter Nan was excellent. My main dish was Zeera rice and butter chicken . it was OK . My bill came to 21000 iQD for this meal.. I have had better indian food ..

Food was sub par in taste compared to other Indian restaurants in the city. I had ordered plain rice (which was completely unsalte), mutton Korma (had barely 4 pieces of mutton), and tomato soup and garlic butter naan (no butter, naan was almost burned). Will not be ordering again.....

Nice place to have Indian food. It is tasty and the quantity is good too. They charge 1000 iqd for a half LTS water bottle, they give 12 bottles in malls. Quite expensive.

Main dishes are good, order two waters from the start as the dishes are spicy. Side dish paneer was very mediocre (would not recommend) Mutton bryani was better than chicken tikka bryani. Update: Butter chicken is a great side Sambusa is good too

I had a great experience at this cozy restaurant! The food was delicious, Prices were a bit on the higher side. One thing I noticed is that certain dishes, like butter chicken, were served without any rice or bread, you need to order that separately, nonetheless, the overall atmosphere and taste make it worth to visit.

Great oasis of well-spiced, healthy, nutritious food in Erbil. Very flavourful with large menu, they also offer Chinese food although we only tried the Indian.

The quality is not up to the mark , it’s over prices . Look for other options . There is a Nepali Resturant in city - with better quality and much cheaper priced .

Best Indian food in Erbil. The service can be a bit slow at times as they are usually short staffed, but it's well worth the wait. The taste for most things is authentic. Friends and colleagues I've taken have also never been disappointed. Love the pakora, samosa, chicken curry, naan, parathas

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had! This food was almost inedible. My naan was like store bought dry bread that had garlic put on it and the paneer butter masala had a layer of grease on the top 2 inches deep, it was honestly so bad

Its alright not the best, used to be better. Taste is mediocre. The coconut rice was actually terrible, unfortunately.

The soup tasted like dishwater and we have informed the waitress and asked what it was. She didn’t know and told her to ask the chef. No further info given to us. Pappadam, aloo bonda and garlic naan were ok. Palak paneer tasted like metal and inedible. We told the waitress and it was the changed to Butter Chicken. That was better! I am not sure if I‘d like the come again.

When they have no customers, the food is good and when they have lots of orders the food is horrible, not even worth eating. Before going there check if they have both chefs there and if nepali chef is there, otherwise don't bother going there.

Genuine Indian food to a good extent, plates can be richer in terms of main ingredients, good value, limited seating however

India Gate Restaurant Indian Culinary Journey Title: A Scrum Rating I recently had the The first thing that caught my attention was the restaurant Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. India Gate Restaurant truly lives up to its reputation as a haven for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. The menu offers a wide range of delectable dishes, representing various regions of India. Whether you're a fan of rich curries, fragrant biryanis, or flavorful tandoori preparations, this restaurant has something to satisfy every palate. To begin my culinary journey, I ordered the traditional samosas as an appetizer. The crispy golden crust, filled with a savory potato and pea mixture, was a perfect way to start the meal. The accompanying chutneys provided a burst of tangy and spicy flavors, elevating the dish even further. For the main course, I opted for the butter chicken, a classic favorite. The chicken pieces were succulent and cooked to perfection, bathed in a velvety tomato-based gravy that had just the right balance of spices. Every bite was a harmonious blend of creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors, leaving me craving for more. I couldn't resist trying their signature biryani, and it was a decision I did not regret. The fragrant basmati rice was infused with aromatic spices and layered with tender meat and perfectly cooked vegetables. Each forkful was a burst of heavenly flavors that transported me to the bustling streets of India. To complete my meal, I indulged in a serving of traditional Indian desserts. The gulab jamun, a soft and spongy milk-based sweet soaked in rose-scented syrup, was the perfect finale to an extraordinary dining experience. The service at India Gate Restaurant was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the food they served. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and cater to dietary preferences, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience for each guest. Overall, my visit to India Gate Restaurant was an exceptional journey through the vibrant and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. The impeccable ambiance, warm hospitality, and mouthwatering dishes made it an experience worth savoring. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian food or simply curious to explore new flavors, I highly recommend visiting India Gate Restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience.

Tiny cozy place. Nothing bad about it. Meets the spice levels and the expectations of Indian food. While some dishes like Paneer Tikka appetizer may not have the taste you want, the dishes from Tandoor would make up for it. Don’t order the Kulfi, it’s mostly ice. Gulab Jamun is good though.
