Attended a wedding there. The venue room was very nice and well presented, ideal for a relatively small wedding. The staff were all very attentive and polite. Nice bar too, not a massive choice of beers but enough. Not too expensive either !

We went to the Griffin Inn for a wedding reception. Wow what a fantastic place the reception room was beautiful and the weather was nice so we also used the outdoor area which was well kept with tables and lawns and nice views. The staff were amazing so polite and helpful. The food was first class and drinks reasonably priced. We cannot recommend the Griffin enough. It deserves 6 ⭐

A nice atmosphere and decorated venue but the food portions are small and quite steeply priced. Enjoyed the ambience but not the £16 pea ravioli which came in at £2 per ravioli with this portion.

Booked a sunday roast 2 weeks in advance to be seated in the bar area, we were the only table to be eating in there. Being detached from the main restaurant meant that we were forgotten about to the point where the desserts we had asked about were now unavailable, it had taken them that long to come and take the order. The food we has was just "ok" nothing special, plain boiled veg, a couple of partially burnt roast potatoes and an extremely crsipy yorkshire pudding, beef was tender and reasonably tasty (the only good bit) All at a premium price but definately not a premium service!! Would we visit here again? No absolutely not, there are better "family run" pubs in the area who are not ran like a chain.

Our walking group used this pub for our base, ending up with about a dozen of us eating here after the walk. We pre-ordered our food giving an estimated time for the finish. It was really well organised, the food was lovely and reasonably priced, served really quickly. I'd recommend this pub, certainly for lunch

Stopped off for Sunday Lunch and a pint during a walk. Food was lovely. Servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Food arrived very promptly. A nice atmosphere. Took a while to pay, drinks were missing from the bill and had to ask for these to be added. Would definitely return.

Went for the classic car show, held first Tuesday of the month. In aid of rainbows. Excellent turn out. Limited bar. Cashless. Outside catering, cheese burgers etc. Not to bad.

We went for a Sunday afternoon roast. The service was great and the food was excellent. We had the private room which is lovely if you have a big group. It gives you that home away from home vibe. Food was slightly pricey, but staff were friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend.

Visited here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Large car park, large outdoor seating area which was where we sat. Good atmosphere outside & busy for a Wednesday lunchtime. The staff were really friendly, nothing too much trouble. We had some nibbles, missed the starter although there was some tasty looking dishes on, and enjoyed mains & puddings. All really tasty & nicely presented. Would visit again

I recently had the pleasure of visiting your lovely pub and wanted to share my positive experience with you. I must admit that I was initially drawn to your establishment due to its reputation for outdoor drinking, fine dining with a country pub feel, and dog-friendly atmosphere. I was not disappointed! The ambience at your pub is truly delightful, and it was clear to see why it is such a popular and bustling destination. Despite the busy nature of the pub, the service was incredibly attentive, and the staff were warm and welcoming. It is impressive how your team manages to uphold such a high level of service even during peak times. The dog-friendly aspect of your pub is also brilliant, and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the atmosphere with my furry companion. It's always a relief to find a place that can accommodate four-legged friends. While I thoroughly enjoyed my visit overall, I must admit that the food was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The basic cheeseburger with French fries, priced at £17, felt a bit overpriced for what was essentially a simple meal. I expected a bit more in terms of quality and presentation, especially given the overall appeal of your pub. However, I must commend the flavors, as the food did taste good. One standout feature of your pub is the ample parking. The ability to take a leisurely stroll into the woods across the fields and then return for a hot bowl of soup and a pint is truly a unique and enjoyable experience. In spite of my minor qualms about the food, I am thoroughly impressed by the overall presentation, atmosphere, and the exemplary staff at your pub. It is definitely a place I will be recommending to friends and family, and I do look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning to your pub

We visited The Griffin Inn to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. Sammy and the team provided exceptional service throughout, and a wonderful gesture for my daughter made the evening extra special. The food was superb, we found the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and we felt relaxed with no rush. Highly recommended!

Lovely pub, beautiful setting. Food good, but expensive. Very small portion size on main and (£8.50) dessert. I’m not big eater, but I do like a decent plate of food. Probably not the first stop if you’re famished! Great spot for a pint though!

It’s a beautiful venue and the food was delicious apart from the frozen chips, the portions are quite small considering the price point. We were unlucky enough to be seated in the noisiest room I have ever come across, everyone was shouting to get themselves heard, I just gave up and sat in silence catching the odd word, hopefully acoustic panels and larger portions are on the to do list but I doubt it. And yes we did ask to be seated somewhere else so we could chat to each other as the noise level was ridiculous.

Phenomenal place! Great drinks, service and atmosphere. Was a touch disappointed with a gluten free alternative offered for dinner this evening, but the staff were great and remedied the situation. My friends enjoyed their food, and we all enjoyed the vibes!

We visited The Griffin this evening and have to say the food and service was brilliant. We arrived a little early which they accommodated no problem, the service was fantastic and the quality of food was excellent. We will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will be booking again very soon *****

Me and my partner came for Sunday lunch ordering the roast beef and pork with all the trimmings. How disappointed we were to find out that all the trimmings included only a spoonful of cabbage and sweet potato mash. No carrots, broccoli, sprouts, beans, parsnips, or red cabbage. Colliflower cheese and stuffing was at an extra cost of £4.95 each. Although the decor and atmosphere are lovely there is clearly a gap between the description of the dishes on the menu and what arrives on the plate.

The best Sunday lunch we've had from a pub in a long time. We were seated straight away and our food served within 15 minutes of us getting here. Great service, lovely food, nice atmosphere. We will come again!

Lovely pub and very attentive staff. We ordered beef roll with chips and sechuan prawns with noodle salad. I chose soup to go with it Beef was fatty and chewy 🙁 The Old Original beer was good. Prawns (3) were fine but cold noodles not so good. The sauce tasted perfumed , I couldn't eat it. The potato and leek soup was hot and delicious The pint of coke was a pint of coke. We will go back and try main course as it is such a lovely venue but lunch didn't live up to expectations

Another of our random pick of places to visit for Sunday roast. Glad we choose this place as the food was amazing and the service was excellent, we will be coming back again to try the rest of the menu. The pub itself is really nice with a good atmosphere and would love to come here in the summer.

I booked a table for lunch here in March 2022. Having drank and dined here in the past, I was expecting a positive experience for my friends and I. Unfortunately the service was very slow and the food was disappointing. But was has been hardest to swallow is that the pub are refusing to return my deposit to me (it wasn't deducted from our bill) despite having called them 3 times and having sent 2 emails via their booking system. I always get told payment is on its way and nothing ever arrives. It may only be £18, but its the principle of the matter. This is very poor service and I will not be recommending to my friends or family again. Please do the right thing and return my money!

Close to my heart. Both my kids had there christening party there. Beer's good and reasonable priced. John and all the staff are professional and polite. My favourite drinking hole around the Loughborough area. Pav

It is a beautiful place, food was served quickly, portions were large and it was very tasty, customer service was A*, waiters/waiteresses are very polite and attentive. Plenty of tables available inside and outside, and all tables are cleaned and sanitised after people leave to make it ready for next customers. They serve a good and tasty selection of warm drinks, e.g. hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte, mocha.

My family had a really very nice Meal here on Saturday. We have a wide range of preferences but all of us found multiple things we would enjoyed & all enjoyed what we decided on. Extremely well prepared and presented. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be visiting again.
