Came during the season when almost all Gordes restaurants were closed, but this was one of the best restaurants on our entire trip. From a small selection of dishes, all were worthy! Service deserves a star! The accommodation was also cozy and authentic. Although the creme brulee was not the most impressive, but the institution is worthy of your attention!

What an amazing meal! We were lucky to get a table for lunch without a reservation. The menu is small and sounds somewhat simple but that’s the beauty of French cuisine, it’s the best version of whatever it is you’re having. For me is was John Dorry fish and my sister had steak. She said it was the best meal of our trip. The drinks were good as well, however I strongly urge you to order dessert because that was my absolute favorite thing on the table (crème brûlée with rosemary infusion). Also the staff and atmosphere were wonderful.

Don't understand five star rating. We took a menu (49 €), a fish (28 €), 4 glasses of wine (28 €), water (6€). Till we received the entrée of the menu we had to wait 40 mins (neighbors had to wait 1h20 for the dish to arrive). Fish was wonderful. Foie gras was not at all (a lot of veins were left) but the chief was reluctant to receive the feedback saying that it was good and "we were not lucky". And the waiting time they also didn't assume as a problem. In the end, after leaving we noticed that the menu was counted as separate dishes which resulted in extra 9€. Overall impression is that the place is overrated, overpriced and tailored for touristic flow, not for retaining the clients/reputation.

Our hotel concierge reserved us a table here and we are so grateful they did. One of our favorite meals of the trip. My wife had the steak and I had the sea bream and both were fantastic. Friendly service, tasty desert

We went at the Outsider tonight with my wife and we had such a great experience. Their 3 course menu at 49 Euros was just outstanding. Everything from the tapenade (offered) to the dessert was a success. The service was also excellent and very professional. We had a table at the terrasse and I definitely recommend to sit outside if the weather allows. I also had a glass of rose which was perfect (they have several wine on the glass to choose from). We will definitely return if we come back in the area.

First of all it’s a lovely place, you have to bring some time and make a reservation. The outside area is nicely decorated and cozy. We got a free starter with some olive paste and bread. We ordered foie gras for the starter, some fish, steak and the rosemary Creme brûlée for dessert. The main dishes have been really nice, the foie gras came with hazelnut bread AND hazelnuts inside the dish itself, for people with a hazelnut allergy, like myself, that’s quite dangerous and after having a few bites, it wasn’t fun no more. After telling/asking the waiter why they didn’t tell us, that it comes with hazelnuts (it wasn’t written in the menu), they said we should have tell them about all our medical records. Also they charged us for it in the end, which made the whole experience not that good. Otherwise it was quite okay, the food was alright, the wine was nice.

Friendly service. Seabream was very nice however beef was kinda tough and too chewy. White wine recommended by them was very easy to drink with flavour. Also had foie gras

Overprice and the service is bad, they charge you an extra of 0,70€ for the sauce of your dish, which costs 28€ btw ! So ridiculus and cheap to ask 0,70€ for a sauce, we are not at mcdonald, serioulsy guy respect yourself ! I dont recommend it and I will never come back to this cheap place!

Definitely a recommendation in Gordes. The food is excellent, the ambience inviting and the staff courteous and friendly. Our waitress presented the dessert menu with such passion that we ordered it all at once! 🤩👌🏻

👍👍 Although very busy , always up for fitting you in - especially if you are willing to eat inside . Service is very good - we ate here twice and loved the history littered throughout the restaurant. A little tight for space on the table but that's france .
