Cosy and friendly atmosphere, made for a great pitstop for Sunday lunch. We went for the three courses and it was definitely worth it, each course was excellent. The "Hog In The Hole" is a triumph. Ale selection was solid too. The service was a little slow, but I did not mind as we were in no rush!

Lovely old building, staff were friendly and there's plenty of space. They were doing a special BBQ event so the normal food was unavailable, so on that basis I won't score the food. We'll be back!

Only popped in for a drink on Wednesday's bike night. The pub was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and friendly. They had a nice outside seating area if you wanted food, apart covered and some open.

Great food, great service. Was totally blown away on how good the quality is. Love ❤️ the parsley mash. And the cheeseburger 🍔 was perfect. Must try food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely country pub. Didn't eat there but the menu looked good. Drinks very reasonably priced and a lovely building with low ceilings and period features, two nice beer gardens and lovely views across the village. Ickleford voyage is lovely too, lived around here for years and didn't know it was there. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a really nice meal here last Saturday. The food was excellent and the service was spot-on. Our only reservation was that having ordered desserts and coffee the coffee arrived a long time before the desserts. Not a big deal - next time we'll make it clear that we want the coffees to be served after all the food.

Perfect little pub. Quiet. Good music in the back ground. Good food, fast service. Lovely greeting from gent at the bar, very friendly, definitely recommend a visit. We ordered chicken burger and fries. The chicken was real chicken breast slices and seasoned well.. very surprising as we expected reformed breaded chicken burger . Food perfection.

Had a really nice lunch of sausages & mash and the day's special of chicken thighs with parmentier potatoes. Everything was delicious. It may cost a couple of pounds more than your average pub but the generous portions and quality of the ingredients were well worth it. And everything was topped off by a friendly barman. Will definitely be back again.

Really nice pub! Amazing food, you can tell the young chef loves his job. Good made with love: we had mushroom soups and coq au vin, way better than any average place in London. Quality of service and atmosphere, keep doing what you are doing!

This was my first time in the Old George. We were there for a surprise 70th Party birthday party. The food was excellent and professionally presented for our group of 20 on time (all pre ordered) along with great service. We were all made to feel welcome by the staff and locals. There is a good selection of beers including real ales. This little gem is worth a try.

It's been a while, probably since last summer when I was here. After visiting the lavender fields nearby. We had dinner at The Old George. The atmosphere, staff, needless to say you can tell the food is Michelin star, its magnificent and reasonably priced. Chef also came out to be thanked by me. A definite 'must' place to visit. 🥂🇬🇧

We absolutely love it here, we’ve eaten here a few times and the food is fantastic.we normally pop in for a beer after our walk to the Lavender fields near by, the side bar with all the signed memorabilia is really lovely & quiet!

I was with a group of very wet cyclists whan we decided to stop for coffee at The Old George. We were made very welcome at the pub and were able to park our bikes under shelter. We really enjoyed the coffee and indulged in some delicious, crisp, homemade chips!
