Cozy place with amazing fusion food to share. The drinks are very tasty too. I recommend for a date or group of friends.

By far my one of my favourite places to go for dinner! The staff is always super friendly, makes you feel welcome and it really shows that they enjoy what they do. The food is delicious and the new menu is really nice! It is not the cheapest place to go, but for the whole experience for us definitely worth the money!

Together with a friend, we had lunch at Ayla. Excellent food, fast service and a nice atmosphere. The weather was cold, therefore we had a table inside. Can't wait to go back on a warm evening.

Very good experience,, focus on the middeterian plates to get the best experience.,, we tried few dishes,, such as octopus. Potato, shrips risotto and sweet potato Salad,, they were delicious. But the portions are small

Horrible experience. Super overpriced, very small portions and a piece of bread costs 5€. Huge menu but they only serve three dishes. Ordered two portions of Patatas Bravas but the second one was half the size. Of course we were charged the same for both. After spending 170€ we're all still hungry.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner and bites here. All the cocktails were delicious and the garlic bread as well. The fried mantou is indeed spicy so watch out, but it's tasty nonetheless!

Wow, such a disappointing experience. The waitress seemed like she was miserable working there. Drinks took about 20 minutes and arrived together with the food. We ordered a dish but it wasn't served, when asked about it the answer was that it wasn't available but they didn't offer to see the menu for another dish. The food would be alright (nothing special) if it wasn't so overpriced for the portions. €4 for a dip (excluding the bread itself) that didn't even cover half of the bread, come on now. Oh, on top of everything, the waitress literally smashed the bill on the table. For people that like Mediterranean/Spanish food, I recommend you go to Bar Berta or La Cazuela. Dont waste your money here, it's a tourist trap.

Some time ago it was nice, yesterday was a total disaster. The food is very overpriced for the quantity, main dish looking like a side dish, their famous dishes run out midday and the cocktails were completely different in taste from what is described in menu. Also waiters have no idea that the dishes should be served at the same time with the other persons you're with. There is nothing of quality at Ayla, no food no drinks. There are far better restaurants in the same price range that at least deliver some decent quality service.

Food and cocktails are delicious, but it's quite prices and service is slow. I do come back here sometimes, because I like the atmosphere.

Very nice atmosphere. The food was good too and the coctails were the best. Communal dining. Bit more on the expensive side as dishes are pretty small, but not mad about it as the food was really well prepared.

I loved it everything about it, I just felt the staff could have been more aware of us when we were seated. It took them awhile to get our order and it wasn't that busy.

Our first night in Rotterdam. This is the was the best possible way to do it. Lovely, welcoming staff all speaking perfect English to oblige us foreign tourists; serving great, interesting food and decent alcohol in a lovely location in a vibrant corner of this amazing city. Chilled, friendly, eclectic crowd. Sat outside, under the awning - people watching and imbibing. Bliss.

It's like eating at a good old friend. Beautiful mediterranean ambience. It's a bit pricey but the food and especially the cocktails are worth every penny because every step it takes to make those things are so precisely and with love, you could taste it with every bite and sip.

I left hungry, if you like paying a lot for fancy little food it's the place for you. I like to enjoy my meal and leave with a round belly. Staff was super nice tho and the vibe was awesome

Great experience, very good service and awesome food. Of the 14 individual dishes we ordered (we were with 5 hungry ones...) we loved all but one which was alright but not great. Awesome drinks, good vibes especially on a Christmas day.

Ayla is a great cosy place with lovely ambiance, and affordable too. Shared dining is a nice concept. We gathered with a group of girls to play Secret Santa, and enjoyed ourselves at Ayla! In the summer their tarras is a great spot to visit.

Loved the food! Although no Mocktails were on the menu, they made me a really delicious chai-spiced Mocktail

Great Mediterranean tapas place. The service was superb and the decoration is very cool. We had plenty of tapas (fish, meat) but the best one was the tuna on a stick. The dessert was not much for my taste, but it was creative. I would highly recommend the place.

I can safely say that I encountered the most adorable waiter on my second visit at Ayla, but, this doesn't make up for the fact that at best, all the tapas are at best mediocre. I really like the atmosphere but can never enjoy it fully because of the food :/.

We went there this April! What a disappointment! The food was pretty bad A vegan a vegetarian and a meat and fish eater. And all of us did not appreciate the food. Pretend to be a sort of meze or tapas but is pretty far from it! The service was PERFECT! People who work there are lovely, well prepared and very kind only reason of the 3 starts. Otherwise I would have give way less. The location at first is really lovely but paying attention to the details I notice that only pretends to be alternative but is only only a mix and match of styles made in the wrong way. Price with 7 beers and some bites and main dishes was 33 euro each. To be in that part of Rotterdam is pretty ok. But I do not suggest this place if not for a beer. Again service is amazing my compliments to the guys who work there!

This restaurant is serving only small dishes, so that you can order a lot of them and share around the table. And i think it’s a wonderful idea, because the food is so great that you want to try everything in the menu!

The place is really nice but they are very slow, they take a lot of time to get your order and to serve. It's a but expensive but good.

Clean and clearly targeted to the younger generations. The energy is a bit too loud. Coffee was good, though 5 euros for half a glass of bottled orange juice is a bit too much. Will not go back, plus the toilet arrangements were a bit confusing.

I used to absolutely love this place. I’ve been multiple times since it opened in 2017 and the quality is ever changing. I’ve had some of the best meals in Rotterdam here (albeit a few years ago) and some of the worst. On my most recent visit, a few of the items were really nice but others were borderline inedible like the fennel salad (and I love fennel!). It tasted like everything lacked salt. Not to mention, their prices have skyrocketed. That being said, they do have a really great bar with extremely skilled bartenders and the vibe is impeccable. At this point, I’ll only be back for drinks.

Good ambiance and the food was very tasty. And the prices are affordable. My favorite was the burrata and grilled leek.

Visited Ayla for lunch on weekday. Nice ambiance and delicious food. Very friendly service.

Tip of the day: Choose as much as possible and share! :) Dishes are small, unusually cooked and served — no way one resists the temptation to try everything! ;) We doubted whether it was worth going to this restaurant, since there were few people (they are hiding in the backyard, so don't be fooled :)), but it was worth it! Very unusual dishes and matches! Signature cocktails are above any praises! Service was really good! The waiters know their business well, they advise really good dishes (although it's no secret that everything was delicious here!)
