The place itself is nice, and the owner's son is a sweetheart but apparently it was written "WALLET" on my forehead for the owner, as just before leaving he asked me half the price of a lunch for the "gas" used to boil water when I asked if it was possible to get some hot water. When he had an electric water heater ! In 4 years of traveling I have come accross only 1 or 2 cases like this except for the street scammers. The place is nice but you can be sure I won't be coming back. I'd recommend fellow travelers to pay the price of the room directly when you arrive and ask the price for whatever you ask for. Note : he sent a payment request through booking.com afterwards, asking for an even higher price than he had told me for his "gas use".

The owners are great people and so helpful. They provided us hair dryer and plug converter. The room was clean and tidy. Bathroom is alright. There's a common terrace on the first floor with a beautiful city view. Suitable for the ones looking for inexpensive but clean place. Recommended!

Stayed here for 2 nights and the family there were really nice and service minded! For someone on a budget this is a good choice. Will stay there again if we come back to Kandy! We also got to play some games of carrom with the owner haha!

Comfortable and clean rooms and very good breakfast. The owner was nice, but he will recommend you things where he will get an commission for. We did the dance show he recommended and it was nice. But he offered us a few times a massage place which on Google was horrible reviewed… The accommodation was very far away from the city center on a hill so you have to use a tuk tuk every time you want to go to kandy city center…

Terrible experience. Unclean rooms. There were bed bugs. Made a complaint to Booking.com. The owner refunded me one night. I slept for 3 hours and left at sunrise. Quite dramatic but was traumatic. No idea why people have rated this place highly? I'm dumbfounded? Just beware.

The owner seems to be a very nice person and the place is in a beautiful location on the hill. Nights are quiet. The room was not so nice. Dirty sheet with black mold spots, pillows you don't want to lay your head on. I hope it wasn't infested with bedbugs. Only for hardcore travellers not for me.

It was a very nice and pleasant stay.very nice and helpful family.very good breakfast with one local menu at all times.i enjoyed the balcony area on the first floor very much.Good WiFi signal. I was not happy with the bath area shower has no pressure although it is clean but very less hot water. Also the room is not adequately lit. nice homely atmosphere. Location is good but have to climb and decent the hill if you don't have your vehicle. Overall a nice and pleasant stay

Very hospitable Host. I left my luggage early in the morning. They waited for me even just a luggage 🧳 Then they also waited for me until the late time check in at 11am. They always pay attention to the guests😊 The place is very quiet and you can see cute monkeys 🐒 Comfy big bed 🛏️😴

Incredible stay .. very natural environment.. super calm .. we stayed for a week .. beautiful location in the mountain.. overall satisfied and comfortable stay .. those who love nature,trees and silent environment definitely like this place .

We stayed here for a bit more than a week. We enjoyed the location away from the city. Everythting is super green fresh and calm around. The room and bed were comfy and the common areas indoors and outdoors are roomy and good spots to hang out. It was perfect for us because as we needed an economical place to stay for many days. We enjoyed walking to town every day once or twice, its a nice 25 minutes walk to the city center and restaurant area. Halk of it is down the forested hill second half by the kandy lake which was kind of an i teractive zoo for us with all the wild birds, donestic and muscovy ducks, huge tilapia fish, wild turtles and the huge scarry but totally harmless water monitors!! 😆the sacred tooth temple and museums are also in the same range distance. It was also easy to arrange for a tuk tuk with the owner for our departure. Thank you 🙏

Quite place close to the city centre. Not maintain in good manner.

One of the most horrible guest house I stayed. WiFi didn’t work , hot shower not working , and worst thing of all .... I got bed bugs. Owner did change our room when we complained but this is really not worth the money. I usually don’t write reviews but for this one I wanted to let other know.

Woow lovly and silent place....

We were very satisfied and Herath, the owner, helped us in many questions. Rooms are ok, for the price and in generell. Some maybe find them a little bit to small, but thats a matter of taste. The terrace is great and sometimes you can see the monkeys running by. Breakfast was delicious and fresh cooked for us.

Absolutely disgusting. We stayed here for 2 Night which were the worst two nights of our month trip. The breakfast was satisfactory the 2nd day when it wasn’t cold. The rooms are infested with bugs and they have a lack of understanding hospitality.... don’t expect respectful sheets or clean pillows. Run!

The room is not clean as shown in the photos. Ugly bathroom with dirty room. Had to cancel right after the check-in and they forced to pay ~80% of the property value. Not recommend.
