What a huge disappointment. The so famous waffles are nothing special. Mega over priced, softer than I expected and you cannot combine different flavors in a box. So you have to buy 6 waffles of the same flavor. How retarted is that? If you want to taste all flavors you have to buy them individually, but you won’t get a box 🙈🙈🙈 seriously never heard anything more stupid, there is no logic in that. Please save yourself the money, there are so many good patisseries in Lille 🧁🥮

Overrated, way too sweet, expensive and with a poor unhelpful customer service. Quite of a tourist trap. When mentioning that I’m struggling with French menu I was send back to a French website with waiter saying: “I will give you a min to decide”. Additionally got dirty straws with both coffees, wouldn’t go back.

A must visit when in Lille where you will find the Ladurée of waffles here. This thin waffles filled with cream comes in 5 different flavours. I tried the classic Madagascar vanilla cream but found it way too sweet for my liking. The raisin brioche was my favourite, served freshly toasted with French butter and a blueberry coulis. Highly recommend to start your day with breakfast here. Come early to get a seat in the courtyard terrace.

Beautiful store, next time I’m definitely eating in. It looks stunning!! All the cakes look delicious but I settled on a Mille-feuille which was fresh, creamy and not too sweet.

A must visit place in Lille, really nice pastry with excellent Moelleux. Price is actually very reasonable and high quality, and far better than those pastry in Paris. Highly recommended.

A mythical and incredible place. This is a must-see place in Lille. The history of the finest waffles with an extraordinary cream filling. It's the kind of place that leaves you breathless. I only tasted the waffles and all 5 flavours (vanille de Madagascar, caramel pécan, spéculoos, framboise et pistache) were particularly good.

Everything is beautiful, from the decor to the sweets. I think it's nice to go here once for the experience, but only once. I tried a stuffed waffle cookie and it wasn't that good in my opinion, especially for the price. I think this place is overrated... it's not bad but taste wise there are definitely better options.

A traditional long running institution in Lille. It is popular among regulars and tourists. The cafe is large and even has a terrace garden inside. The canes are not only beautiful but also very tasty. They also serve a specialty waffle shape which is their signature dish and can only be found in Lille. You can also get the cakes from their take away store and much more.

Tea and cake is delicious. The cake I’ve ordered is - Josephine. Tea is The Princess. Service was alright however table is a little bit dirty. Overall a decent experience with steep price.

Got in on a Saturday morning with no reservation. The place fills up quickly though. A little pricey but not crazy expensive. The cakes and coffee were good. Also had the famous waffle which was surprisingly yummy.

This is one of the famous shop in Lille. I have a chocolate cake with tea in afternoon and it was very delicious. The price is pretty high but still worth to visit.

Got a cafe frappe and Josephine cake. Both were incredible. Got slightly worried the things it would do to my stomach being mildly lactose intolerant, but felt fine afterwards.... Maybe my stomach cherished how incredible this food was? 10/10 would recommend.

A restaurant that is forbidden to visit... diabetics. It is no coincidence that the French prime minister prefers it. A feast of sweets that will not leave you indifferent. There is a kiosk outside that sells ice cream. The interior impresses you. You have to see that.

This patisserie was recommended as the best in Lille and famous for its delicious pastries. Waffles are their speciality and although they look rather modest, they melt in your mouth and taste divine. They also come with different filling types (pistachio was amazing). No printed menu in English is available and if you don't have data, it's tricky to access the menu on their website. Table service (a bit slow). You can either pop in for a hot drink and a cake or have lunch there too. A fantastic shop on the exit, which would easily set you back tens of Euros as everything is very expensive (6 waffles for €18, chocolate bars €10 euros each).

The waffles don’t taste freshly made, no plating, cold, and too sweet to my liking. We had four flavours and two cups of tea, the waitresses were gentle and efficient. The seating area were nice, with lots of natural light. Unfortunately, many tables are in a hallway-like setting, with many people passing by the table, the atmosphere felt a bit uneasy. The corner we set had a urine odour.

If you come to Lille, it is worth giving yourself a brunch here. Besides being a real institution in the city, everything is taken care of in detail. From its quality food to its attentive and friendly employees. The place is beautiful and we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Everything is exquisite and cakes, as expected, were delicious. Whether it’s eating, having a waffle or just stopping by to see the place and smell their teas, I highly recommend it!

Big venues with nice classis French decorations. Long lines but service is very fast. Have different kinds of sweets. They are specialists in their famous biscuit which is alomst like a thin waffle. Nice experience with good taste. Worth the visit when you are aound.

The atmosphere is that of a pleasant cafe, with some nice traditional decor. Here they serve De Gaulle's famous Vanilla Waffle (Gaufre). Lovely to have on site.

We went middle of the afternoon for a break. On Saturday you definitely need to book in advance the place was crowded and they were not accepting walk ins. We chose two of their signature cakes the “impériale” which is a mix up f soft caramel and chocolate and the “merveilleux noir” which grad a caramel base roped with a meringue and a chocolate dome. The cakes were amazing definitely recommend the place.

It’s such a pity that the salon is fully booked in this holiday period. Another reason to go to Lille again! I bought the tartelette noix and éclair chocolat, both very good. I prefer the fresh patisserie than the cookies and jams.

I came in the morning of a Sunday, so the patisserie was not busy at all. The staffs greeted me as soon as I walked in and were very attentive and energetic. I was really impressed by the service. I bought a moelleux noisette, a gaufre vanille and a gaufre framboise (seasonal). I like the hazelnut cake being firm and not extremely sweet. The gaufres were nice, but I personally don't know whether they match the patisserie's big fame and the price (3 euros each).

A historic place to enjoy afternoon tea. Excellent desserts and variety of drinks. Need to book in advance! The only thing is that due to popularity we couldn’t stay long

The location, the patisserie and the coffee are just wonderful. Admitted, you pay for the location, too. And if you are not a larger group, like we are, you will also get the most lovely tables. As a larger group (5) you are placed in the back rooms, where there is space for larger tables. Not bad, it has its flair due to the old interior but it’s without windows and you feel a bit isolated from the rest the location. The staff is friendly but the service is not on par. As mentioned in other reviews before, no sugar with coffee etc. However, patisserie and coffee are of great quality and very tasty.

If you are planning to visit Lille, you should definitely add Pâtisserie Méert to your must go list. It's located in a very beautiful and historical building. The desserts we had were very delicious. The woman who welcomes the guests was very friendly.

One of the best hot chocolates and cappuccino, we had on our trip. Wonderful interiors and a good instagramable place. Their pastries are highly recommended and one should not miss at all. Pricing, a bit on higher side

A must-see & must-enjoy location for anyone fond of living history and tasty sweets. Well-renovated and authentic decor, lovely atmosphere and delicious desserts for a reasonable price (special mention to the cakes while the traditional waffles are more pricey but a tasty souvenir, always). It sets the standard extremely high for all other French pastry shops~
