My first trip to a restaurant in months. Small but cozy restaurant, very fast & friendly staff. 1 suggestion to the owner, I would serve mayonnaise with fries and ditch fritessaus (could have asked but didn't) but overall satisfied and enjoyed myself!

We had dinner as a large group (20+ people) and it was a great experience. They served us a smaller version of their set menu, so our orders might be different than what you can normally get. They brought bread and dips as appetizers on the house, the bread was nice and fresh. I had a smoked salmon salad as a starter, it was well seasoned. For the main, I picked the pork tenderloin, wrapped with ham. The ham was crisped up in the oven, and the pork was still tender. I asked for their red port sauce with the mushroom sauce on the side, the port one was one of the best I've had in the Netherlands. All main dishes were served with plenty of sides: fries, baked potatoes, roasted vegetables and salad. The portions are quite generous. I paired my meal with a dry Sauvignon Blanc, because they didn't have many wine options per glass on their menu. To finish off, I had the bastogne parfait with cookies and caramel for dessert. Parfait was on point, light and not too sweet. I wish they didn't put a huge amount of whipped cream with all their desserts, though. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, and all plates were wiped clean. The service was quick and the staff was kind, they could accomodate to different dietary requirements. But they don't serve tap water, which makes dining as a large group really unpleasant. It would be a nice choice for a date, they have a cozy atmosphere with old world maps and quite interesting decor.
