Was muddy on trail,a bit slippery. But beautiful waterfalls, able to get down right by the falls and walk along gorge by 15 Mile Creek. Was amazing to see and hear the water rushing.

Surprisingly more beautiful around every corner. We enjoyed the views from above and at water level. It was challenging enough to keep it interesting. I wouldn't recommend this hike for very young. Maybe 7+. We even saw some wildlife like a weasel and snakes. Not enough water for swimming but there was lots of shade so it was good for a hot day. I can't wait to go back.

December 2021. I remember it was muddy that time but the experience was definitely breathtaking. The views were spectacular and it’s a great place for a hike. If my memory serves me right, the place has free parking :)

I enjoyed my hike around the Rockway Conservation Area. There is a lovely trail and several waterfalls. The Falls near the parking lot are best seen from below, though that is not an easy hike. It's rocky and uneven, not for beginners. The Lower Falls are easier to get to. And there is a lovely trail that connects the two.

Amazing hike with scenic views of waterfalls! Recommend coming before 12 as it gets quite crowded. Highly recommend!

Nice trail, was firm underfoot today (January 2023) with the low temperatures overnight, otherwise be prepared for a little mud. Uneven, hilly with roots, rocks, small fallen trees near end of trail. Rushing water over rocks and under a bridge made for nice picture. Blue markings on trail as side trail merges onto white marked Bruce Trail. Signage at parking lot is helpful.

Great place brought the baby in a carrier. 8 year old had a blast scaling the rocks.

Great place to hike. Trails are well marked, and some of the trees are labelled along the path (lots of Sugar Maple and Black Walnut trees). Parking is available for free at the Rockway Community Centre.

Some steep hills. Two trails, blue and white. White one takes you to the water fall. Beware, very rocky terrain and uneven areas. Very peaceful and enjoyable walk through the forest/woods.

Nice out of the way conservation area. Lots of parking at the Community Centre. Well-marked trails with lots of side paths. The waterfall on the blue side trail is actually dry as of August 2020, but I'm assuming there's water during the wetter months. Not many bugs but lots of snakes (harmless ones).

Challenging hike and climb. Worth it for the waterfall at the end. Family enjoyed it. Not recommended on a wet day. Dry ground is safer. Great pics.

We went there on two separate occasions. We took the white trail first and then we did the blue trail. Its a good hike. Its nature not a whole lot to do. Just great for a scenic walk with the family. The white trail was more rocky and had more climbing to get to the water fall. Overall a nice little area to check out.

Rockway has the perfect name lol. The rocky way is the fun trail to take for sure lol. Gorgeous views but remember to be careful, there is large drops/cliffs so don't take your eyes off the pets and kids. Also don't forget bug spray, definitely a tick and mosquito area. ;) enjoy your hike!

Amazing place with two beautiful falls and ties to the Bruce trail for a longer hike. Some nice woodpeckers along the trail.

Waterfalls were both dried up but the trail was very beautiful and easy enough for 5 year old.

First time here (Sept 6). Nice trails. No waterfalls though. Everything was dried up. Probably better in the spring after the snow melts. Would like to go back in the fall when the leaves change. Was nice to not have to pay admission or to park like most other places around Niagara.

Rockway Conservation Area This is part of the Niagara Escarpment so the Rockway Side Trail was typical rocky and steep. We didn't see the waterfalls probably it was early September. It was a good hike.

Feel like we for sure left a lot of meat on the bones with this place. All we really did was park right off Pelham Rd and over look the falls from the bridge that goes over top of it right there by the conservation area. For sure would have liked to go a little further in and see the other falls or even the bottom of this one at least but still was a nice quick stop with its own unique characteristics.. If I'm back in the area I will be sure to better time my visit here so I can really check the place out.

Beautiful quiet walk through the conservation area and part of Bruce Trail. It is rocky and steep in some areas and as we went in winter it was slippery in spots especially near the water edges so make sure to have proper footwear. Lower falls were lovely with ice forming on edges and long icicles had formed off the escarpment. We weren't able to get to the upper falls from below due to icy conditions but still beautiful to view from Rockway Community Centre parking lot up top which is where we parked to access trails. There is a small wooden bridge that crosses the creek. There were no facilities available.

Beautiful place to go hiking ❀️ we walked for about an hour and a half. It has just rained so some places were muddy and slippery so we stayed on the safe trails. Will hike there again. I found it to be less busy than short hills.

Although closed for renovations at the moment, Rockway is the best hiking spot in Niagara. Less variety of trails than Short Hills, which is just down the street, but it’s considerably less busy. Gorgeous view of falls at the bottom during the spring months but a great spot during all seasons!

Ever get the desire to get out of the city and go somewhere a little less regulated? Well now you can't. I'll be surprised if they don't pave all the trails and put up hand railings soon. But why stop there? Installing a giant dome over the conservation area would prevent unsafe weather events and decrease UV radiation in the area. Perhaps we should assemble a team of people to replace all the non edible mushrooms and plants that live here with little sticky notes that say 'phew, that was close'. Food for thought

Went there in about 1 1/2 years ago and I love it so adventure to climb so many rocks and love it .. would be nice to see lots of water falls but it wasnt there but still so AWESOME!! I would love go there again :)

Very nice walk! There are some parts that my 3.5 year old daughter struggled with but walked the trails regardless. This is a good place for a family walk make sure you bring some water and proper footwear will help big time, running shoes will do the trick !

Rockaway Conservation Area is incredible. Be careful of the steep and slippery cliff edges, but stay on the Rockway side trail to get to the lower falls which most never see.

Park is very good for hiking. Unfortunately the Covid situation has made it extremely busy. There is significant overflow from Short Hills Provincial Park causing busy parking lots and a lot of people on the trails. Social distancing is difficult and a mask may be appropriate in the park especially since most of the visitors are from outside Niagara. The park itself is very good with access to the Bruce as well as several side trails. The waterfall and streams are dry from the end of July but visible during the early season.

Lovely place, but very icy on the trails in winter. Be careful descending.

I loved this place! I didn’t even know that in Niagara region there are other places except for the Niagara. Great place for a walk on the sunny day. However, there are not that many trails. Most of trails are locked around falls. If you walk to walk a lot you can step on the Bruce Trail which is crossing this conversation area.

Amazing hiking trails, a hidden gem outside of the GTA and a fantastic place to get away for a few hours and reconnect with nature. If the skies are clear you can literally see the CN Tower from some of its ridges!

Reminiscent of hiking in BC. Quieter, more challenging choice for hiking than the much busier Short Hills nearby.

This is a beautiful hike, unfortunately there are no garbage containers anywhere and as a result, garbage is left at the entrance. Such a shame.

Great hike at Rockway Conservation Area. Trees were just starting to turn fall colours. The trails were somewhat challenging with all those ups and downs. We hike some of the rocky creek as most of it was dry. Will want to experience this area in the other 3 seasons.
