Avoid this place. The rooms are not well kept and it feels like the got the furniture from the curb. It's impossible to sleep without ear plugs, walls are super thin, you can hear everything that goes on outside and corridor. They gave us a room with a window to the inside of the building and it was where the staff would meet to gossip, so very early in the morning you could hear people talking loudly. The mattress and pillows were also pretty bad. The bathroom has hanging by a thread. No hot water to shower, drain was half clogged and water was leaking to the bathroom floor. They also provided us with very cheap mismatched beach towels haha honestly it was one of the worst hotels I've ever been to. Nothing worst happened, but I wasn't expecting to be this bad. The cheap price is not worth it. Location is not bad, but doesn't compensate.

Rest in peace for all Bad review. Don’t expect 7 star service with this price. Good hotel at this price.

If everything will work in your room, then you are so lucky. Mold, not isolated electricity cables, old bedsheets with cigarette holes, everything stinks, even water. But if you are budget traveler and you just need place to sleep, you will get used to it after 2 days. Staff was quite nice.

Worst experience in all of our trip. You must absolutely dodge this bullet! Mold and chemical smells oh and uncomfortable dirty beds.

The room was awful. The stink inside was almost unbearable. It stunk of sewers and opening the window did nothing because it went into a roofed courtyard. Bathroom was covered in rust. There was mold and spots all over. The Wi-Fi didn't work on the 4th floor. I have no idea where there pic with the swimming pool came from, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

The worst hotel I ever went. No toilet seats and a weired stairs to the room and mold in the corners and the shower ... and toilet paper on the seeling. The wanted full price or give the money back and kick us out. I preferred to go out and start searching an other hotel. Best thing I could do. 1 star for the woman at the reception. She couldn't help but I believe she didn't had any option.

Most uncomfortable bed I ever had! Not really beds but folding beds!! I usually go for low budget options, but I would not come back here. It was not clean with spots on the sheets/blankets. Bathroom was dirty. The resectionist was not friendly and unhelpful. For the three nights we weren’t even allowed another towel. Also didn’t much care for the threatening messages about being fined if I would break or steal anything. Only positive thing was the breakfast place next door!

It is best place to stay in the decent price. Room was neat and clean and the staff where helpful. Only issue I found is with the check.in time which is very late 4:30 PM. Have to wait a long.

Punaises de lit ! I reserved a room from 02.07 to 03.07 for me and two friends. I had to leave in the middle of the night Residencial Joao XX1 because we couldn’t stay one second more in our room. We found more than 6 BED BUGS throughout the night running on our bodies or bed. We are in complete chock since we are going back to Canada and our staying in Lisboa was the last of our trip. We are facing a situation where we will have to pay to decontaminate all of our luggage, probably even throw out most of our clothes and personal things. It was impossible to sleep for all of us. There was also mold in our room caused by the absence of any form of ventilation. We tried to call the emergency number several times to be at least changed from this room to another but there was not answer. I would never recommend this place to anybody and this institution should feel ashamed for this lack of hygiene. This is highly unacceptable.

HORRIBLE PLACE. My husband and I booked two nights. The place is filthy, moldy odour in the room. Curtains, window and bathroom with black mold (dangerous). In my mastress I did not see bed bugs. I did no sleep the fisrt night due to the odour, thinking that the place was disgusting. This place is not how is showed in pictures. NASTY

I took a single bed room. As you see it was small and it smelled like mold. It's 30 minutes of (nice) walk to the city. If you are on a tight budget like I was then it's worth it. I paid 76 euros for 2 nights. The double bed rooms are much nicer

DONT! Want cheap? Dont care about rude staff? Dont care about black mold? Ok with breathing in 10 years of dust from the air conditioner in 1 night? Then this place might be for you. In your 20s and looking for the absolute cheapest room possible should be the only reason to sleep here. Dont take my word for it....see my pictures

Worst staff in this hotel along with smelly rooms where door's key never works. Receptionist is too unprofessional and also very rude who couldn't eat her lunch till 4 and shouting on me that she didn't have lunch till now and many more thing.. all the related bad reviews are super correct.. Unfortunately I read them after coming here because I was not expecting these.. and yes I got 30 mins early entry too my room just because of that I have told that I got early check-in for free in a loud & bad tone (She allowed me to go in the room 30 mins earlier so that She could gossip and have her food freely and now she got rights to shout on the guests) , people without manners. Though I requested this receptionist in the beginning to give me early check-in but she rudely told me you can wait in the kitchen where the whole garbage of the building was there and not a single chair to sit.. Not a bit Coperative. In a Cheap hotel bad room can be acceptable but not the bad people.. ....

They don`t offer you shower gel, or not even a rubbish bag. I think they don`t deserve the 3stars they have. Otherwise is a good location and a bus station with great connections in front of the hotel.

Great quality-price relation! The staff is always SUPER nice, I’ve been staying whenever I need to travel for work since 2018 and I have no complaints. My room WC always smells like bleach which means it’s clean and without any infection. I like it there, great location and for that price you can’t ask much more. They offer you shower gel, towels, pillows and enough bed clothing plus the reception is open till late. I recommend it!

It’s in a great location and for the price I expected something lower end but this was the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The room and bathroom STUNK of sewer and cat pee and the towels smelt like dirty mold. The air conditioner makes an AWFUL noise and the WiFi doesn’t work on the fourth floor. Would not recommend. The front desk staff is quite rude as well

One of the worst places I ever stayed at. They have no reception and send you the access code via mail, but it never arrived. After I while someone appeared who only laughed and then gave me a code. The rooms are run down and the hotel lies on a loud street. Avoid!!!

Staying here was a nightmare for us because first night when it was raining outside, and water started pouring through the ceiling into the room onto the floor and onto our bed. The water on the floor was rising and we wanted to hide in the bathroom, but the water started flowing there as well. We had to quickly pack up and flee the room. There was nobody at the front desk and we tried called the 2 emergency numbers listed at the front desk, but they didn't work. About 5 rooms were similarly affected. We sat on the stairs with our suitcases, waiting to see if someone from the hostel would show up to deal with the situation. The receptionist came at 11 o'clock and we reported the fault and asked for a solution. All the rooms were full but she promised to have everything fixed. In our room was a lot of dirty water not only on the floors but also on the mattress, which was completely soaked and unusable. Returning at 5pm, we found that no one had been in the room up to that point and everything was wet and smelly. We complain again they promised to fix again. After another hour they brought a fairly dirty mattress and the maid covered it, mopped the floor and it was all. The mattress was damp and everything in the room bad smelled - the floor, the furniture. But it was a done deal for the hostel. The next night pieces of plaster falling from the hole in the ceiling and shattering on the floor. We wake up and afraid that other parts of ceiling would fall. We were forced to live in these unbelievable conditions for the duration of our stay. In addition, the water stopped running early on Tuesday morning, so we were unable to wash in the morning (!). Then we asked the hostel manager for a discount on the price of the accommodation. The manager refused to give any discount and said that everything was fixed and there was no reason for a discount. And it is the hostel's attitude that we find most disappointing about the whole thing.

I would like to point out that I don't like it: they are rude to the customer when they ask questions, they are asked to answer in a cheesy way, when you say the shortcomings in the room they argue instead of helping, and the room is not cleaned ... I came to Lisbon for the first time everything was nice but not a Hotel, I was disappointed in favor of the hotel .... if I come again I'll try other hotels in Lisbon

Well, just like a normal hostel. Good to stay for a low price. Problem is that every time you entered the room after some time, it was smelling super bad. Next thing, warm water is under blue part of sink and opposite what was a bit confusing. 🤔

You get what you pay for. Not the best finishes. 24 hour reception. Good for a night or two. Free WiFi thorough out the building.

Nastiest hotel I’ve ever seen. Looks like it was never cleaned, the power-outlet literally falls out of the wall, you can hear every sound thats made in the whole hotel and there’s water leaking from the shower in the room above us. Its now touching the lightbulb so it may cause a fire! They gave us an emergency number and they dont even pick up!

Little rooms, not really clean, few towels (we were 3 People, we had 4 Total towels changed after 2 nights), The beds were not too comfortables, The tv is really Little with flying cables, The internet connection is slow, The reception is open a few hours a day. When we arrived the room was smelling of fried oil... The Price is right for what you have.

Worst hotel i have ever stayed at. No toilet seat , no windows and worst of all bed bugs. I left after 3 hours of being in the room so i didn’t stay the night due to the bed bugs and they are refusing to give a refund. The photos look nothing like reality. Stay anywhere else

Not bad place to stay for couple of nights. It takes only 15-17 mins walking to trade square. There are rooms with space, nice wide windows and small, but private bathroom. Friendly stuff, good English, cleaning the room every day. However it was quite cold in November without heating and even cooler didn't solve the problem. Also there was a problem to charge a phone, it must be fixed.

When I add my credit card details the said they would charge me a x value. After that they said they said they were going to charge me 50% more that was indicated in booking. I immediately said that in this case I was not interested And was canceling my reservation After that they charged me the value of the night So I called to ask for my money back . They were really really rude , said they wouldn't return my money and hang up the call on my face

Review only of the cheapest room. As it was one of the cheapest places in Lisbon and we only needed to stay 1 night it wasn't too bad. Although some Standard things need to be fixed. + Cheap ° Not for tall People (height of ceiling is 1,9m) - Loose outlet - Mold - No safe fire escape (only stairs, window is too small to escape - Loose toilet seat So overal, Good for one night but not longer.

The worst hotel for us. It’s not recommended for kids and old occupants due to their safety. My 7yrs old son fell twice on the stairs 😩. The receptionist is sooo rude! There’s a flood on our bathroom 😩. We don’t like the smell. for 3 days we stay there, no one will go to our room to clean in it and change the bedsheets. For 3 days the elevator is not working 😩. Worst as in!!!!

Tragedy... I booked a double room with 2 separate beds, I received a room with 1 bed. For 3 days the receptionist has been saying that I will receive the room I booked the next day and each time it turns out that there is no room. They took money from me, knowing that they could not provide me with the room I had booked. Every day I am lied to that tomorrow I will receive what I should have on the first day! Cleanliness - a tragedy. The corridor stinks. I've traveled half the world, but I've never seen anything like this. The reception is behind bars - most likely because my case is not something new, talking to other guests, such situations are the norm here. I don't know why booking or the Lisbon authorities don't respond. This is a scam. Of course, I will report the matter wherever possible and they will ask for a refund of the cost of stay.
