Let
me
give
you
an
honest
review,
as
I
see
many
seem
to
avoid
mentioning
some
important
things
which
make
me
think
either
most
people
don't
bother
with
reviews,
most
were
before
Covid,
or
some
are
just
scam
reviews.
The
good:
-
most
of
the
staff
are
friendly
&
helpful
-
they
clean
well,
on
a
daily
basis
-
the
location
is
good,
albeit
noisy
at
night,
but
that
is
to
be
expected
-
It
has
all
the
basics
you
would
expect
The
bad:
-
3-story
beds...
-
hostel
is
small,
the
room
I
was
in
was
very
narrow
as
was
the
corridor,
and
it's
very
easy
to
hear
noise
past
the
walls
and
doors.
Not
much
space
to
access
the
heavy-to-move
floor-sliding
lockers
under
the
beds
or
do
anything
really
due
to
the
small
space
-
the
bathrooms
are
really
spartan...
There
is
no
place
to
even
put
down
belongings...
Hot
water
seems
to
stop
unexpectedly
while
showering
and
there
are
barely
any
rugs
to
avoid
slipping.
The
wood
in
the
only
private
bathroom
is
really
rotting
away
which
makes
me
believe
they
are
saving
money
on
appears
to
be
an
old
hostel.
-
The
hostel
provides
laundry
service,
but
I
fail
to
see
why
if
it's
not
done
professionally...
The
first
time
I
used
the
service,
the
clothes
did
not
smell
clean
at
all.
In
both
times
I
used
the
service,
my
clothes
were
returned
partly
wet...
Why?
I
thought
the
first
time
was
just
an
inexperienced
employee,
but
the
2nd
was
clearly
a
different
one.
-
common
room
(salon)
is
unengaging.
You
would
expect
common
areas
to
be
a
place
to
meet
people
-
but
not
so
here.
There
is
a
general
atmosphere
most
times
like
people
want
to
be
left
alone,
rather
than
interact
with
others.
The
"social
events"
are
really
quite
poor,
other
than,
perhaps,
the
sangria
night
where
I
noticed
people
truly
interacting.
From
having
spoken
to
people
who
have
been
at
other
hostels,
this
seems
to
be
a
common
impression,
and
different
from
most
other
hostels.
-
I
was
disrespected
and
made
to
feel
very
unwelcome
by
one
of
the
receptionists,
who
would
avoid
any
and
all
eye
contact
at
times
while
passing
by
me
and
even
remarking
"oh
you're
still
here?"
as
though
it
was
a
joke...
After
complaining
about
it,
the
only
thing
she
was
truly
worried
about
was
if
I
would
report
this
to
her
boss,
and
after
being
laughed
at
at
my
face
and
spoken
to
in
a
cold,
condescending,
avoidant
manner,
when
angrily
returning
the
key
and
checking
out
I
was
told
I
am
being
disrespectful
and
that
if
I
don't
leave
she
will
call
the
police
(seriously?)...
Does
that
seem
like
normal
attitude?
Is
this
a
Portuguese
thing,
to
act
so
passive
aggressive?
Mind
you,
this
was
the
same
receptionist
who
personally
told
me
that
Portuguese
are
not
nice
people.
I
was
never,
ever,
in
my
life
treated
this
way
before,
and
have
always
been
respectful
to
staff,
never
intentionally
disrespectful
unless
disrespected
first.
I
guess
you
get
what
you
pay
for.
This
hostel
is
cheap.
