We have tried 5 different types of cod fish dishes (pics given) from here. All were fabulous and worth a try. The restaurant is maintained classy with excellent design & with lots of space. The service is good & quick. They have different desserts options too.

Not up to the price they charge! They charge you for up class prices, but the service totally ruined the experience. Apart from one older member of staff that was knowledgeable and caring, the rest of the staff felt unexperienced and totally not carrying about their job. From getting the wrong information about the food when ordering, to being left without wine just because they had our bottle in a side table and just stopped coming to our table, and also one of the staff members, one dark hair tall guy with glass, that was basically dragging is feet all night around the room, with a face that felt he was going to throw up. The food was good, but we got several very big fish bones, that we felt for the price was not acceptable. Mind me on this, because we have been eating and cooking cood all our lives so we know when people just don't care about arranging it properly, and this was definitely the case. Won't come back and don't recommend. I feel is one of those places the lives out of the fame of its long gone glory days.

Dined here for dinner and had a pleasant experience. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The dishes were decent and generously portioned, yet slightly salty. However, our waiter was knowledgeable and offered great pairing suggestions. Would recommend for cod lovers!

The Codfish house. I highly recommend booking, otherwise you might not get a seating. It's off the beaten track, full of locals and the entire menu is salt cod based. Everything that we tried was divine. You should certainly get a jug of their special sangria. Omg! It was like the nectar of the Gods! So delicious!

This is definitely best cod fish restaurant in Lisbon. I love cod fish. I’ve been many restaurants local or not local. High quality cod, tender, fresh, just right amount of salt. Good wine too. Beautiful decor.

Quite simply, if you want to try the most popular fish in Portugal – Cod – then this is the place to go. They have Cod prepared just about any way it can be prepared. I came out of this realizing that cod is not for me. Just kind of salty and fishy for my taste in about every variety. So, to the Americans reading this, if you want to try cod, go here. If cod is not your thing, don’t go here.

This place is a must if you are in for cod. More than 2 dozens of cod dishes and other alternatives. We had the grilled cod to share with other friends + octopus and curry dishes. Grilled code comes with a surprise dish. A truly amazing experience in the city. Beautiful location and excellent service. Thank you!

Had a lovely meal with my family at “A Casa Do Bacalhau”. The cod patê was delicious and the Bacalhau com Broa was just divine. The service was great, this restaurant has an amazing atmosphere.

The reception was warm and we didn't book the table. Bacalhau was super tasty and good price.

The location is excellent and so is the food. If you want to have an amazing experience eating "Bacalhau", you must book a table in this restaurant. As a side note: the wine list is very interesting with mostly portuguese wines.

It's not cheap but the food quality is good. Very attentive service and the restaurant is very elegant with nice atmosphere. If you like cod fish this is worth trying.

Nice restaurant with cozy atmosphere, beautiful kitchen and lots of wine to choose from🍷 I think this place is a good fit for cod lovers, even though I didn’t really enjoy my dish. Presentation of the plate is perfect but I felt like the the combination of flavours in the plate didn’t balance, also the fish is way too salty for my taste.. I guess it’s just a personal opinion and I can’t take out a star for that. What was really disappointed is desert. I had the apple pie and it was still cold in the middle and the texture all mushy and watery from being put on the microwave. Not fresh nor probably handmade, I really don’t recommend to order dessert at this restaurant, at least not the apple pie for sure! It was probably frozen and poorly reheated 😌 -1 star Price was high and service could have been improved by paying more attention to the customer. Overall I’m really not satisfied with my dinner: dish taste not to my liking, awful dessert, service could have been better, and the total price we paid was really high for that sort of experience ! -1 star

A restaurant with a lot of personality and a fair menu, but one that responds exactly to what you are surely looking for. The cellar is very good, the selection of wines is more than enough and the price is fair. The kitchen is simply perfect, I can't say more. If you are looking for a restaurant with traditional cuisine, with homemade preparations, this is the place.

I love pasteis de bacalhau. Nowdays they give the eine glasses as a gift with the date of the visit.

They accommodated us, a group of 14, with short notice. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and large enough to host a few groups. The waiters and staff were super attentive and were able to provide recommendations based off dietary requirements. Really amazing cod dishes, all tasted great with lovely accompanying wine. The only reason it’s 4 star and not 5 is because most of us found the main dishes a little too heavy and had no room for dessert. Great find in Lisbon overall!

Booking was very easy and quick. We got a table for the same day, our waiter Flavio is such an experienced and professional guy, he was friendly, he shared his knowledge about wine and gave us really nice recommendations. His service was amazing. Now about the food, our dishes were plenty of food and delicious, starters were tasty and the dish presentation was spectacular. Definitely the best experience we’ve had in a restaurant. This restaurant is a must when you are in Lisbon.

One issue (hence 4 stars) - service! Food - great, place & atmosphere - great, restaurant is clean and neat, excellent wine selections. Even kids meal was great. Service, though, needs to improve. Staff didn’t seem to know who waits the tables and who cleans them. From the start of dinner to end, we had 3 different people serve us, and we constantly had to grab their attention. I would only recommend for food, service is at your own risk.

Amazing experience! Food was top notch. We took cod with ham and cod with shrimps. Delicious. We took the manager's suggestion about the wine. The Paço do Conde 2020 with Touriga Nacional and Syrah was stunning. Thanks for the amazing food experience. We will come back for sure.

Lovely restaurant. The house of Cod, literally. Here is the place to get cod in multiple iterations and almost exclusively. Service is fair, if you don't mind asking twice. Dishes are tasty. Wine is good.

Very nice place and very good food. Lot’s of different types of bacalao. Highly recommending the Cod confit at low temperature and Grilled Cod (it’s listed in a “to share” section but you can also order half a portion for 1 person)

Very good. Perhaps pricey in comparison to the average, but the food was delicious, properly done. Staff was nice, the place was super cool and cosy- not touristic t all. I d recommend to try the cod with crust of maize bread( in the pic) and prawns as starter

The meal was really hard to swallow. The green codfish soup was somewhat sour, the vegetable soup was just so-so. The main course was so salty that it was difficult to eat, and the dessert was overly sweet. The pudding was even missing a corner, and the carrots weren't topped. It seems the chef's skill was all in the presentation. To top it off, when paying the bill, we were overcharged by 6 euros - we ordered 8 items but were billed for 9. We usually leave a tip, but this time, we just couldn't find a reason to do so.
