From my personal opinion: I WOULD NEVER BOOK THERE AGAIN and I would trust the reviews. The first room we were given was nothing like the pictures online. There is MOLD pretty much everywhere. The bathrooms and showers are filled with them, even on the ceiling. Huge mold spots too. It definitely is a health hazard. The carpets are dirty with suspicious stains. And for anyone curious, there was only 1 electrical outlet in the room. Also, the smell of old cigarettes infest the hallways and the room. Now if you’re lucky and another room is available, they might give you one of their renovated rooms. They do feel cleaner and more modern as they have a lot more outlets for all your electronics. With that being said, the showers still had a little bit of mold. When you take a shower, the water raises quickly as the pipe is clogged. The beds are extremely uncomfortable as you can feel every spring against your back as you lay on it. Overall, it’s very deceiving and I wouldn’t necessarily trust the pictures from this hotel you see on booking sites.

Worst hotel we have ever been in. First there is no parking, if you have car you have to constantly drive around for parking and if you do find one you need to pay. Second, no one at the front desk knew what they were doing, even when we had made a reservation a few weeks in advance they couldn't find it. And third the room was horrible! Everything seemed to be old and ruined. The only thing that seemed clean was the beds, and the AC worked fine. But the rest! I wouldn't recommend this hotel not even for a night.

Had the most awful experience at this hotel. Customer service: there was a roof leak in our room, and it started leaking in the middle of the night. Water leaked all over my stuff, DAMAGING my items! It also leaked onto the foot of my bed, making the bed wet and waking me up with wet feet. I complained to the staff at the front desk, who claimed his manager was not replying but promised to get in touch. Of course, the manager/hotel never got back to me. So disappointed they were not able to right this situation, especially with my damaged items. Rooms and bathrooms were not clean, smelly, and small. Carpet was stained and so were the bedsheets, towels, and pillow cases. Bathroom: the shower was barely functional and the body soap dispenser was broken; the toilet paper dispenser was right below the soap dispenser, so every time you used the soap, the soap/water would drip down onto the toilet paper, making it all wet. What a flawed design. Overall: do NOT stay at this hotel, unless you are desperate. You will be disappointed by the staff and the rooms.

Location was good, close to coffee shops and resturants and improtant one metro line. Reception staff were friendly. But room had humidity, in last day at 9:00 in the morning the room service knock the door and came in without my permission and said do you check out!!! I said not at 12 I would like to check out, breakfast was really poor, in the room you could easily hear everything from other rooms.

If you're looking for a sewage-smelling mould den, look no further! Located a short walk away from the metro station, this hotel is an oasis. You'll enjoy a free sauna due no air conditioning, no hair dryer, a masterpiece for your ears consisting of car horns and sirens, mystery stains on the carpet that can also be interpreted as an abstract mosaic, a broken mattress akin to a concrete slab with the added cushioning of luxurious broken springs, and a mouldy bathroom where you can pick your own mushrooms. Just the sanctuary I craved after a long day of travelling. If you're a smoker, you're in for a treat! The hallways smell like cigarettes that were picked up from the street and used as a scented candle. Plus, if you enjoy speaking to a brick wall, the hotel manager can cosplay as the wall for all your brick wall fetish needs. On a serious note, please do not stay here. Your health and wellbeing is at risk, and you should not risk this place. If I could rate this 0/10 I would, please do yourself a favour and avoid this "hotel"

This is a bad hotel. Customer service is awful. The roof leaked during our night there, the carpets are dirty and the shower is worst than a camping shower. We talked to the guy about the roof leaking, he said that his manager who was not available at that time would contact us to accommodate us. Guess what, the manager never reached out. Go there if you are desperate for a “cheap”room but have no expectations at all.

I stayed in this hotel recently. The location is great and the service adequate for the value. The receptionist let me checked in early for an extra euros. He also changed my choice of room. My top floor bedroom was clean and tidy. Hot water in the bathroom works. However, remember that my review is based on basic standard e.g. clean sheets, clean room; free from clutter and dust, clean bathroom. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for staying based on security, customer service and value.

I missed my flight back home and this was the only thing I could find last minute because I had to stay overnight in Lisbon, and in my honest opinion the reviews for this place seem a bit dramatic. Maybe it’s because I was frantic and exhausted and didn’t know what I was getting myself into with this hotel, but it was perfectly fine. A little dirty, but I didn’t mind. The bed was a little uncomfortable but I slept well. They had breakfast waiting for you in the dining room. The service was fine. Maybe i just got a good room but no mold, or bedbugs, or anything that people in the reviews are talking about. It didn’t feel like a hotel more like a hostel. It’s right next to the metro station and not a long drive from the airport. But overall I’m happy with my stay and reviled that I could find something cheap and last minute close to the airport. If I ever get stranded in Lisbon again this is where I’m staying.

Probably the worst hotel I have slept in. Receptionists do not know basic phrases in English, room in need of renovation (photos do not agree with reality) not working air conditioning (I had to sleep in December at 15 degrees !!!), water from the shower leaks into the room, traces of flooding visible on the carpet. I believe that for such accommodation they should pay extra, not charge. The only advantage is the metro at the entrance to the hotel.

Worst place I have ever stayed. The staff was friendly, but everything else was horrendous. Weird smelling room, disgusting sheets and curtains, hardly functional shower, and last but not least; bed bugs. Hotel was totally unhelpful to our complaint on our last morning that my girlfriend had her forearm covered in bed bugs. They did not offer any compensation, or even try to cooperate in finding a fair solution. We are left with nothing but suitcases full of clothes to wash and bed bugs bites to treat. Never go here!

Stayed here one night for a layover. Booked when i arrived at the airport and arrived at hotel half hour later in the evening. Terrible reception. Staff did not speak English and charged me 4 euro local tax, even though on expedia it stated it was 2. Was no point in arguing due to language barrier. Room looks very outdated, with frayed carpet and had a weird smell. Shower stall is extremely small but had good water pressure. Location is alright, 12 minutes by bus to airport. Would not recommend to stay here longer than one night.

Not a place to visit even if you don't have anywhere else to go. Worst place I have ever stayed. To start with charged for some tax fees which was nowhere mentioned (my booking was fully paid in advance) and staff had no explanation, told I cannot stay if I don’t wat to pay. The staff wasn’t friendly. Very dirty looking, blockage in sink which, dirty smelling rooms disgusting sheets and curtains. Staff was totally unhelpful. Not even a cup of water they could help us with in need. Don't deserve even this one star.

Pleasant, clean rooms and a comfortable stay. Close to the Metro station. The room was fairly basic but had everything that we needed. This is not an hotel it is a residence. We were pleased to discover that a breakfast was served for 5€. It was simple but very welcome and satisfied our needs. The coffee that was available was wonderful. Our dealings with reception went smoothly.

Imagine the worst place you’ve stayed. Now amplify that by 100. Had the air of ‘being murdered’ about it with the lack of locking doors…and given the smell from my room, the previous inhabitants might have been. The mattresses are completely knackered, stained carpets, and I didn’t want to use the bathroom for fear of coming out dirtier. If you have any choice-do not stay here. I’ll let a couple of photos do the rest of the talking.

Sewage smell in bathroom stank out the room. Also left-over hairs on toilet, bathroom sink. Shower drain was blocked. Only good thing was the bed. Bedroom looked like a shed.

Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER . On the 23rd of May I've spent the night on room 510 at the 5th floor and instead of a good night of rest I had a night being BITTEN by BED BUGS!! Woke up next day with RED SPOTS all over my arms, back and face that by the end of day became redder and redder, BURNING and HITCHING. The bites were arranged in lines and clusters, with multiple bites grouped together which is the common symptoms of bed bugs bites. It's been over a week and I still have marks on my body. I've sent the pictures of the bites to Residencial and all I get was "We haven't found any bugs in the room", not one I'm sorry for how you feel and get well soon. This only shows that they DON'T CARE for their guests and their well being. Besides this the Residencial is a BAD QUALITY OLD PLACE that has a nice entrance to cheat the guests by first sight. The PHOTOS ARE FAR FROM REALITY of the place and you can hear noises from everywhere.

The hotel is decent but don't expect anything fancy. The rooms (at least mine) look better in pictures than in real life. I had some problems locking the doors so mind that. The bathroom is not great either, and the heating works weirdly. The staff are nice. It is ok for a night if you need to catch a flight.

Terrible hotel, rooms smelled very bad as if nothing was washed or changed, blockages in sinks and showers yet they did nothing about it, toilet flush didnt work yet the worker there didnt help or try to figure it out until the next day when it was fixed. Don't recommend to go to this hotel ever!

I wanted a cheap place to crash and work remotely and that’s exactly what I got. I booked well in advance and ended up paying a little more than €30/night. The wifi was fast and reliable enough to do my job and get on video calls with people back in the states. That being said - it was out for hours one night. To the staff’s credit, they worked nonstop to fix it until it came back up. Great location with plenty of markets nearby and, of course, a metro stop right out front. The staff was friendly enough and although I mostly spoke Portuguese with them, some of them spoke English as well. However, some of them did not…not a problem for me, but it was for some guests, and they do list English speaking staff on their site. Regarding the smell mentioned in other reviews, in my case it was true. My room did not smell good when I got in - nothing unbearable, just musty - but there was definitely a sewage smell a couple of nights I was there. The room was not the prettiest and the bathroom was super tiny with a very poorly flushing toilet. The shower got hot and cold just fine with decent water pressure. The electronic lock on my door broke and I was locked out of my room - again, the staff worked tirelessly to fix it, but it was a huge inconvenience. One other thing - my room was not quiet at all. Walls were very thin and this hotel is right on the corner of a busy roundabout. All in all, I’d consider it a great option for a low-maintenance budget traveler, if you don’t have to get work done while you’re there. Bring earplugs and an air freshener and don’t expect it to be anything more than what you’re paying for, and you’ll be golden. If i was going back to Lisbon strictly on vacation, I’d book here again. If I was coming back on a working-vacation (working remotely during the day), I’d probably pay a little more next time for more comfort and reliability.

I unfortunately stayed here for 5 nights since I had no other option. I did arrive very late and tired, planned on sleeping but unfortunally I had to get moved to a different room first since the one I got just had an intense smell of sewage that even could revive the dead so they can run from it. This 'new' room also didn't smell fresh but I was to tired to complain any longer so I dealt with it. The next day the electricity gave out in my second room. They send someone to look at (which means just asking me put put my phone on charge and then telling me my charger must be the problem). Finally I did convince the employee to move me since there was no use of a room without proper outlets so I got yet another room. This last room also had it's problems. For example the door keycard system didn't work so I got locked of out my room 5 times the coming 3 days. At reception they told me it was my own fault that apparently I put the keycard close to my phone. But after they did tell me it once, I made sure it the card never came close to any electronics and yet it happened. Overall all 3 rooms i've seen in my 5 day stay were far from clean. Bad odor, paint peeling of the walls and ceiling, black mold in the bathrooms, the window in my last didnt close fully, old carpets with a lot of stains (I didn't take of my shoes just out of disgust). Cold showers and from the odor of the water I could tell the whole pipesystem is rusty and old. Brushing my teeth I used bottled water I bought to avoid vommiting. Also the beds where so small and the room was not cleaned daily with packs of dust flying around the room. Last point is the wifi-connection went away each 15 minutes. This might sound to crazy to be true, but believe me ans the other reviews, we are not lying. I've been to many third world countries in cheaper hotels but yet they were a lot cleaner. I know luxury is something you have to pay for, but there should be some sort of standard, definitely for western Europe. The only good thing about this 'hotel' is the location. They should pay you to stay here, not the other way around. Avoid at all costs. This 'hotel' made me happy to board the plane back home.

Watch out of this location. Together with a family (2 kids included) we had a reservation there for 3 nights. Unfortunately because of the flight delay we arrived after midnight and it appeared that they sold these rooms to another guests. So imagine... we arrived tired, with luggage and 2 kids and they say we have canceled your reservation and we don't care. The worse hotel experience I have had in my life.

We had problems with the door, both to lock and unlock. But the worst thing was the bathroom .Water was coming out from the pipes and made the carpet in the sleepingroom wet. The "solution" was to put a towel on it which made the whole room smell. This used to be our favorite hotel but things have changed to the worst.

The address is wrong. This hotel is in the center of Lisbon. on P. Francisco Sa Carneiro and not on R. Francisco Sa Carneiro. This error on the map cost me 70 euros on taxis. Thanks Google.
