I went with my friends to spend the day. The staff was very flexible. I was vegetarian & the buffet had moderate options for vegetarians. I asked whether I could get fried mushrooms on ale carter's menu. They suggested going for a buffet & they will arrange mushrooms, especially for vegetarians. The food was good. Calypso played in the background. The ambience was excellent. We played karaoke on the open terrace adjoining a wetland. The cool breeze was outstanding! The pool was good too.

Extremely poor Service and Poor staff as well... Loss of trust.. My Brother paid Rs.25,000/= as an advance payment for his Home Coming on Last Year 2021 to Amora Lagoon. Due to Corona disease, It was postponed and we have planned to organize only a church wedding without any reception. After that we called to hotel on one day last year to hotel to get any status of our advance payment and hotel staff said that refund could keep for your any further occasion or day outing or something. So on last week JUNE 2022, My parents visited to hotel to refund the payment (Rs.25000/-) or to plan a family birthday party or a day out on this week. So they (Hotel) refused to pay the payment or % from our advance payment. Finally, we contacted Amora Lagoon General Manager Mr. Krishan (+9476 4415 108) but he also replied with a negative reply. In this difficult time, even Rs.1000/- also important to the people. We did ask our money. If not, we asked to provide a day out package from that advance payment. We are looking forward to go to police and take legal action against to this poor place. Therefore, I recommended to not to visit to this hotel or plan any occasion to get a bad memory.

Arrived very late at night. Person at front desk didn't seem to be able to speak English as we had difficulties communicating with him. Even though the rooms are beautiful, there is much to be desired. Insects and mosquitoes can be found almost everywhere, including on the bed. No hot water in the bathroom. The guy told us to keep it running for 30 minutes for the water to heat up but we never got it. The phone in the room didn't work so we ended up having to walk to the reception to complain. Booked a lagoon view but they were constructing a patio or something that blocked the view. So instead you get a view of the road. Construction of patio went on to 2am! Was awakened at 5 by someone sweeping loudly outside the room. Not worth the money.

Their service and food is pretty good. Had few office gatherings where the indoor and outdoor both venues were available for usage depending on the requirement. They do have Sufficient parking. Dessert could be improved, wasn’t that tasty when it comes to that area of the food related. But their hopper station and other food were pretty good. Located towards the lagoon; the entry road is bit narrow for wide vehicles where there can be trouble for two vehicles to pass through.

A great place to have a day out with your friends/family/partner. It's also a great place to have a small photoshoot as the area enclosed within Amora Lagoon is quite photogenic. If you ever plan to visit here make sure you follow map directions properly as the way to Amora Lagoon is quite confusing but it is worth the trip. The food here is great but on the flip side, they don't provide you with "user-friendly" cutlery. This is so bad to a point even the service staff frequently drops cutlery as they aren't stable enough to be used properly. Speaking of the service staff, they are friendly but it seems that they have way too much to handle so please be patient with them if they get late to deliver you something that you requested specifically (like a glass of warm water in my case). One important thing to know that the lobby in front is riddled with so many flies and it seems that there is no way out of that. If you dislike critters that fly about you might not like what you are going to face.

Amora Lagoon, unfortunately, turned out to be an extremely disappointing destination. First and foremost, the location of this lagoon, situated near Sri Lanka's busiest motorway, made it far from a tranquil and relaxing escape. The constant noise from passing vehicles shattered any hopes of finding a serene atmosphere. Upon our arrival, there was no warm welcome or friendly smiles from the staff, setting a poor tone for the experience. Our disappointment only grew as we ordered refreshments for our group of 10 people. Despite requesting French fries, sandwiches, and salads, only 3 or 4 plates of these items were provided, and the portion size left much to be desired. To add insult to injury, it took an excruciating 45 minutes to receive our tea and coffee. Even then, when the beverages finally arrived, they tasted like plain hot water with no discernible flavour. Astonishingly, the cost for this subpar fare exceeded 17,000 LKR, a truly bewildering and unacceptable expense. One of the most striking issues at Amora Lagoon was the complete absence of privacy at the pool. It felt as though the pool was located in the middle of everything, leaving guests exposed to onlookers from various angles. This lack of seclusion significantly detracted from the relaxation one would expect at a lagoon, as it was difficult to unwind with the constant feeling of being on display. In summary, Amora Lagoon offers a far from satisfactory experience, and we would strongly advise against considering it for a peaceful and enjoyable outing.

Great hotel to spend an evening. This place have the amazing lagoon view in the evening with the sunset view. Bit noisy as it is next to the Katunayaka - Colombo express way. Hall setting is good. Air-conditioning is available. A Swimming pool is available for guests. Sufficient parking space is available. Staff is friendly.

Newly built hotel which is perfect for weddings, outings and stays. One of my friends had his wedding here and I real over loved the ambiance, hospitality of the staff and food. At the moment it has one banquet hall which can accommodate about 200 people easily. Located near the lagoon as the name suggests the environment is quite calm despite being situated near the highway. View is just great facing the lagoon. Pool plus large land area makes it fun and suitable for weekend getaways. A Must visit place if you are a foreigner looking for a place to stay near the airport.

This hotel is located in the town of Seeduwa in the Negombo area, close to the beach, in a beautiful and secluded setting. First of all, I have to say that the disease situation in Sri Lanka these days has been properly managed in some way, so you too, who are coming from abroad, can now go to this place and experience its beauty. But before you go here, look for information on the relevant telephone lines. I would like to thank the staff who have been working from the time I came here until the day I return. Quiet environment, very tasty food, very clean rooms, and the environment helped me a lot to enjoy my stay here. I was able to get more service than I paid for. 2021/11/11 - 2021/11/13

I went here for a wedding ceremony. Staff here don't have manners. Specially waiters. They don't know how to talk to people. Always talking to guests in a very disrespectful manner. I saw them doing it for several guests. The worst hotel staff I have ever seen.

We went there and used the "Day use room" which was available in the booking.com reservation it was priced around 13.5K with no lunch included only the pool use. Over the phone they said it was only 12.5K including Lunch and the pool. So make sure to reserve it over the phone. Lunch portions were great and food were tasty. Beers are also available there. Pool was clean and well maintained. Rooms were also clean and comfy. So was the bathroom and beds. Really like the interior design using touch sensing switches.

A week ago, we booked a day tour package for a group, and they confirmed the booking. We called the hotel twice after receiving the confirmation to make the advance payment, but they insisted that we pay when we were there instead. The hotel advised us that our reservation had been cancelled due to unanticipated circumstances when we called the day before. Such a disjointed and poor service is a letdown. Everything we had prepared up until this moment was pitiful. A hotel of this class would never act in such a chaotic, careless, and insulting manner, in our opinion.

We reserved a day tour package for a group a week ago, and the reservation was verified. When we called the hotel the day before, they informed us that our reservation had been canceled due to unplanned events. It's disappointing to receive such shoddy service. Up to this point, everything we had prepared was terrible. In our perspective, a hotel of this caliber would never behave in such a disorganized, thoughtless, and offensive way.

Worst food! Nothing interesting in their buffet menu. You should not spend money and go to a hotel just to eat rice, dhal, basic chicken, pork and fish. Cold food and you have keep asking to re fill the finished items. I asked for a glass of water and after few minutes they came and said they only serve bottle water and if you need water you have to buy a bottle. 2 star is just for the environment and location. But you can surely find better locations and nice hotels for the money you spend there.

I visited Amora Lagoon Hotel before heading to Jaffna. We were in a group of 30+ and we had No complaints at all. The staffs we friendly and quite responsive. I had requested for an iron to be delivered to the room and they responded within 5 mins. The rooms were well maintained and was very clean. Toilets were dry and was odourless. The only comment would be regarding the breakfast choices. We were served western cuisine and had hoped to see some Authentic Sri Lankan dishes served at the buffet. Otherwise we would certainly return to this Hotel in the near future

If you are looking for a hotel close to the airport: DO NOT BOOK THIS ONE. This is everything but a 5 star hotel - one of the worst in terms of quality/price. We had a 3 beds room and they used a single couch as a bed. It was impossible to sleep there. Please check pictures attached. I requested 5 times to have that fixed and it was a real struggle. In addition the water in the pool was super dirty and full of insects, just like the room. Last but not least I tried to make a coffee in the morning but the boiler was disgusting full of mud and dirty water. Would never come back.

I want to be very honest. The hotel is extremely dirty, from the rooms to the restaurants to the cutlery and so on.. but the staff and workers are very kind, helpful and sweet.. thank you Sanjeewa for being so kind and helpful.

Went there for a wedding. It was nice, the hall was spacious. Wasn't that impressed with the food tho.

We went on a day outing package for our annual campus batch trip which was Rs 2000 per person. First we were welcomed with a welcome drink(sun quick) which I didn't have any complaints at all. We were given 2 guest room to accommodate 19 of us. The rooms were clean and well maintained👌. The pool was also very nice and not that small like in the pics, but very enjoyable❤️. They gave us balls to play in the pool as well. The buffet was given at 12 and it was another level😍! It had a lot of varieties and each dish tasted excellent🤤! Specially we enjoyed the wok fried prawns🦐. The buffet was well worth the price💯. They had a huge garden as well with a nice view and can play games as well🔥. I searched nearly all the hotels in negombo and nearly all were under quarantine☹️ but this hotel was not. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Mr Krishan and his staff was very helpfull😇. We went on the weekend deal and it was well worth the price! Weekend deal is ideal for a group day outing💯.

Its 3🌟 Rated hotel. it was my first visit, not so long drive from Katunayaka express way exit. place is quite calm and peaceful plenty of car parking space. foods is ok, rooms are clean and nice, staff is very friendly specially manager he is so helpful to customers. only issue is pool, its not enough for more than 15 people so if its a crowded date you might have to wait before jumping swim suit. i wish they could make it wider.. other than that place is super. good for a dayout or a stay...

I went there for a wedding. Their waiters do not know how to talk politely. There was a waiter guy who was continuesly shouting at guests. The way he talked was totally disgusting. He behaved like the big boss there and his politeness was well below the level we expect from staff of a well recognized hotel.

This place is ideal for family outings. Nice atmosphere with spacious garden and the view is pleasant too. We had a family day outing with the office friends and it worth for the money. Food tastes good but less varieties. Rooms very comfortable. Pool is averaged in size. Customer service is superb. They have provided food(bites) we have ordered really quickly. The highlight if the day was the boat ride in lagoon. This place is very close to the Katunayaka International Airport.

The most understanding staff I've ever encountered. They were very polite and the response to our orders were prompt. There is a massive car park but small entrance. The pool side room was clean and cosy. Lunch buffet was worth the day package and the garden area was spacious so our table was never disturbed by the other groups. A calypso band played and they too were with smiles the whole time. There was a boat ride service (min 5 people - 45 min) in the lagoon and that person too was very friendly. He was cautious of our safety and did his best to give us a good tour. DO NOT get off the boat as it is very muddy although the water is somewhat clear. However, the pool was too crowded.

The place is at a close distance from bandaranaike international airport and the surrounding of the place is quite acceptable from the rear view. But in the front you're facing local houses. Staff was quite good. Haven't tried their food but will do soon

Amora lagoon is very good place for day outing & wedding ceremonies. There staff is very friendly and specially Mr. Pradeep is good person and try always to give maximum of service for the lowest rates.

Hospitality - the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers. Which was never the etiquette of the staff in the buffet of Amora lagoon and was vehemently denied by them due reasons which were monetary. If they were unable to accommodate such a crowd on Easter Sunday, they should have restricted the reservations without being greedy or else they should have known to manage the guest in a proper way which neither happened.

The hotel is nice, rooms are comfortable and big, well equipped. The staff is polite. The location is next to a busy road, not right next to the lagoon as it looks on photos. We choose this hotel for the last day of our trip and we wanted to relax and have good sleep, but there were noisy parties of local people going on the whole day until 11 pm. As this hotel is close to airport they could have notify us about the parties so we could choose another hotel.

Our dinner was set up in a very romantic environment by the swimming pool! The deviled fish dish was quite good! The fresh pineapple juice was good too!

This is a nice place located very near from Katunayake Expressway. About 1.5km from 18th mile post. The place is very small but cozy located in the lagoon. Staff is Friendly and service is ok for the price point. Food is also OK. For groups to hang out, couples to go days outs for, this is a good place. Parking available for free.

Service was good. Food was also quite good, poor dessert selection at the buffet. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Small property and pool though. And it's beside the highway and a small river/canal and not the actual lagoon like its portrayed.

Opted for a Day out package. The atmosphere is good and relaxing however the food didn't justify the amount we paid (3500 pp). Several dishes were not even properly cooked specially the Prawns and Chicken. Dessert section had few varieties but it didn't satisfy our taste buds even. I even noticed that many others also have left their dessert items uneaten. They must pay serious attention to food preparation. Not a recommended place for food. Second time visited on 25.06.2023 and the food quality has not improved at all. Prawn was not available after I served it for the first time. Cheese cake was made mostly using yoghurt and not cream cheese. Some meat like chicken were not cooked well. In salad corner the chicken wings were very cool and it tastes like raw. I will never recommend this place for a day outing in terms of food and quality

Visited this place with friends for a day out plan. Staffs are friendly and helpful. To reach this place you definitely need a vehicle or atleast shoud get a tuk from main road. Buffet is okay. Even we expect much varieties still we are okay with waht we had. They dont have separate changing room for swimming pool. You are required to use the washroom.

An excellent privately owned hotel, complete with a pool, located very close to the International Airport. It has a very welcoming entrance foyer with par excellence checking-in service, guided by the Front Office Manager, Rukshan, who is always beyond the call of duty! The whole hotel is constantly kept clean and neat with the room furnishings five-star standard and electronic controls a bonus! Staff are very neat, uniformly attired, and very professional. Special thanks to Nishan Buddika who carried a heavy bag up the stairs as there are no lifts. Food is very good, and while not cheap, is value for money. I had a Sri Lankan cuttle-fish stir-fry, one of the best I have ever tasted! The photos are misleading as they show it adjoining the Lagoon, but it is on a joining tributary, and you can still view aquatic animals vying for your attention along with the many colorful rare bird species, who greet you in the morning, frequenting the lovely lawn and foliage surrounding the hotel. The only shortcoming, I observed was the lack of adequate transport, exacerbated of course by the country's current fuel shortage which forces them to charge an exorbitant figure, equal almost to the cost of a Colombo trip! Being only 4 km from the Airport, their location can be a very good selling point, especially for transit passengers. I will certainly re-visit this hotel if the easing of the economic situation, provides a better transport facility. – SATISFACTION 100% -

I went this place for attending for my school friend's wedding. It was in the main banquet hall, is amazing spacious hall with beautiful light system. The wait staff was very friendly professional and complied with every single request. But the food was not that tastly as I expexted

I don't recommend this place to hold a function. The manager who handle those was very unfriendly. He will talk with you pleasantly until they receive the full payment. after that until the function we have to chase them. They haven't prepare what i ordered for bites and the manager told me that i haven't inform him in very unfriendly manner although i have spoke him several times and he said he note down all. Very disgusting behaviour of this manager so our function was got late to finish because of this issue and most of their staff were gathering around and push us to finish the function and they push us to eat in order to do the cleaning. Not flexible at all. It was their fault for the late and they were like guests are like animals. Food was delicious but the service is very bad specially the manager who in charge of those

This place is good for a small family gathering but please think twise if you are planning to have a large number of get together. The environment is good and they have space. But their service is really really poor. We had around 45+ gathering ( day out package) but there were huge rush in lunch buffet and tea time. Noone was there to cordinate the event properly even they informed us they will allocate one staff to us. The staff is not friendly specially staff in the buffet area. They did not refill the buffet on time.They could not provide us enough cutleries and ice cubes for sprite . We had to buy sprite from them and the cost is almost three times when compared to out side prices. But they just provided the sprite without ice cubes even we requested several times. Lunch buffet has not much spread but food is in average level.The evening tea also very terrible .there were no enough cakes , milk and suger. Our team had to wait long time to have a cup of tea. Half of the team had a tea without a piece of cake.

Amora lagoon provided very good service. The staff was very friendly. All the food and drinks were delivered on time. The food was delicious. Everything was done beautifully as we wanted.Very clean and beautiful place. Special thanks to Mr. Saman Mr. Riyaz Mihiranga & Pasindu Everything was done beautifully without any effort. They always looked for what we needed. I wish all of you and the management of the hotel from the to improve and provide the best services. Thank you very much for everything.

Real photo of place ,waste place I have been and this two on front desk this they owned the place ,don’t go (day out ) one of waste place buffet Only have 10 to 12 items 3/5 dessert only They will ask f half of the money f the days before going in( Dayout) some restaurants are better than this front desk not at all help,pool in very small ,for this price you have find much better hotels for day out

We had a get together on 27 th October 2023 and more than 15 people didn't had a proper meal. Though we spend money for a full buffet at the last moment people didn't had food to eat in the paprty.We asked the hotel to provide some food for us but they ignored us they didn't had humanity we had to go for another restaurant to eat . POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Please do not go to this hotel. Very poor service, room were good size but air conditioning did not work some lights in room were not working. We had HB didn’t make vegetarian on menu only non veg soup. They only catered for Chinese guests. Service was very poor. Hotel is expensive for what you get, I would class this hotel no more than 2 star

Stayed one night HB basis cos I had to attend to a wedding at a near by hotel. No one helped to unload baggage from vehicle. I brought it up to the reception. Same happened at checkout. Front office was not flexible at all including the executive. They insisted payment at check in when I requested to settle bills at checkout. No one bothered about our meals even we are at HB basis . No query from restaurant or kitchen. We had to call restaurant few times to arrange our meals. Wanted a sri lankan breakfast and i querried about options on previous night. The reply was i had to check it in the morning. Finally no choice and had to eat what they offered usual continental breakfast. There are so many staff but no proper service. Had to ask for everything. Lazy security staff and didn't even bothered to remove parking corn and I had to remove it my self when leaving. Good side is Rooms are super clean. AC , hot water works well and a peaceful environment. Selected this hotel based on trip advisor comments. But will avoid it in future.

Hiruni Perera who is working at the front desk greeted us with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that immediately put us at ease. It felt like they were genuinely excited to welcome us as guests. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the Hiruni made sure to explain all the necessary details about our stay, including amenities, dining options, and any special promotions they had going on. What stood out the most was the personal touch they added to the check-in. They took the time to ask about our preferences, such as room location and bed type, and did their best to accommodate on our requests. It felt like they were tailoring our stay to our specific needs. Overall, our check-in experience at this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Again need to mention Miss Hiruni perera and thank you very much for your kind and quick attention for our group. we would not hesitate to return for another visit in the future. If you're looking for a hotel that offers a friendly and personal touch, this is definitely the place to stay.

Good location and atmosphere. Great staff, very helpful. Sanjeewa was fantastic. Always smiling and helpful. Delicious food. Room is clean and spacious. Clean and AC was good.

Even tough we were here only for one night; it was really enjoyable; food in the restaurant was really good and Sanjib made sure that we feel more than comfortable; its really convenient if you have a early flight and need an accomodation close to the airport
