Good place to have a drink before going the the theatre or IMax. Menu was good and the food we had brilliant. Staff not the most attentive but did not wait for food or drinks. One minus point from full 5 stars was my cutlery was not clean and I had to ask for clean ones. But otherwise really nice atmosphere and good food.

Attended an event! The food was good! Amazing atmosphere! Great selection of drinks. Attentive and helpful staff specially Halim who was very knowledgeable about drinks and mixers! Love their outdoor seating! Perfect for summer evenings! All in all it was a great evening! Would definitely recommend this place.

Prior COVID and when I used to work close by the Green Room was my favorite spot during the summer. As they have a massive outdoor space it's perfect to come and unwind while having a cocktail or two. The food is always delicious and there few vegetarian options. Came here in December when a lot of places were booked for Christmas party. Both my friend and I were going to be late so I called in advance to say that I would be 10 min late but ended up being 20min late. They still kept our reservation even though we were 20min and it was a busy evening. She kept the table because I called and said we would be late. . The restaurant was packed and there were 2 big groups doing their Christmas party. Because of the 2 big group, the food we ordered came almost 45 min late but the manager was really apologetic and offered us free drinks while we were waiting. The food was delicious as alwsys. It was decent size but full of flavours. It's one of those bar/restaurant that you need to know if you're around Waterloo station. While the location is brilliant and the food is amazing. The service is always a hit and miss. But other than that, I am looking forward to come back I. The summer.

*UPDATE* Returned for Sunday lunch. Still a lovely atmosphere, but with a full restaurant the team seemed a bit pressed. The beef roast was a tad dry and you kind of needed additional gravy to make it work. Meatballs were lovely and soft with an extremely intense tomato sauce. *** Had a lovely lunch here with brilliant food and attentive service. The starters were chickpea hummus and burrata - the hummus was amazing, really smooth and creamy. We both had the fish & chips for mains and it looked outstanding - it was very oily, but super fresh and tasty. Service was knowledgeable, friendly and fast. The atmosphere (quiet when we arrived) quickly became busy and loud, but they kept up the pace. It’s a lovely bright spot with lots of light, perfect for a mid-week lunch - I believe it turns into a full bar at night. Prices reasonable, especially for the area.

I got gorgonzola pizza and truffle chicken burger, both were good! There are plenty of tables and I love the atmosphere. I think this is better space than others near river because food is good, price is reasonable, and less crowed :)

The service is fast. Even in a group of 20+ it was really good. Drinks were out quick and the food was not too far behind. The range of food options is good catering for everyone from fish lovers to devoured vegans. Portions were fair though on the smaller side. Once the meal is over you have the option to wonder round and have drinks outside. There is an issue where drinks are billed/tabbed to outside tables which is ideal until you find that once there are a number of groups orders get mixed up..on delivery and on the bill leading to rather awkward requests of payments for non requested items. This needs to change and improve as everything else is pretty good.

The place is cool, and I went for the Truffle Chicken Burger. It comes with fries, mayo, and ketchup. Gotta say, the sauce is killer, and munching on a black burger bun was a fun twist.

I had a great experience. The food was great, the location very nice. There were some vegan options (1 burger, 1 pizza, hummus, veggie siders and this salad). Went there hoping for vegan wellington as read in comments here. Turns out it's only on Sunday menu among roasts ... Will be for next occasion :) Thanks!

They just opened this week and their meals are delicious. Thank you for coming back guys. I tried the pizza, fish and chips and the black rice with chicken. Can't wait to come back. Also the staff is very friendly. Thank you

Accommodated a walk in and the food was great. Good prices and the roast dinner was delicious and lots of food for the price you pay. Service was great and it was a lovely atmosphere inside - looking forward to returning again

Can't understand why so many of the reviews are poor. We had a delicious meal and reasonably priced cocktails in the sunny garden.. The fish was perfectly cooked - crispy outside and succulent fish inside. Service was excellent and very helpful - one even charge my partner's phone for him. We were going to see Grace Jones so a perfect location and certainly much better place to be than the very overcrowded outside space in the venue.

Nice place for a dinner with colleagues. The food was ok. The polenta cake was less moist than I thought it would be. The restaurant was nice. A bit noisy - if you like calm and cosy spaces this may not be a perfect fit.

Came as a group of 5 on a Saturday worrying that we’d not be able to grab seating due to it being the weekend. Loved that we were able to grab seating outside but wish there were more heating devices around our table as we practically had none. Would have also been great if their were more larger party tables indoors. Nevertheless, the food was reasonably priced for what we ordered. I chose the English muffin which was an Eggs Benedict w/ sausage patties instead of Canadian bacon. Would have loved if it came with some fries, salad or potatoes as the dish didn’t quite feel full enough. Our server, Yogi, was really swift and accommodating though.

Lovely place inside itself. Busy and buzzing for a mid week lunch. I personally didn't like the food and there wasn't any alcohol free drinks other than soft drinks which just a shame! Fish batter was nice and fresh. Why poppy seeds, i don't know. Chips were oven chips out of a bag - very basic for the price and dessert was an unfortunate let down. Furniture comfortable and stylish!

Easy eat and can get busy. Good pizza and chicken burger. Outdoor seating can get a bit busy in spring/summer. Otherwise good food.

I used to live just around the corner from the Green Room, and went a few times. However, a recent experience has really ruined it for me. Upon receiving our bill (group of 6) we noticed that the items charged were more expensive than they were on the menu, so the total bill was c. £10 more than it should have been. We flagged it with one waitress, who apologised and printed us another one, which then was exactly the same. I then flagged it again and spoke to the manager. She said that we had been given a different menu to the one it should have been, which had the correct prices. I told her that surely the prices on the menu which we (and other tables) were being handed should be honoured. She said that it wasn’t possible to change anything because it was up to the computer, and that since we had been given a table on a Saturday at last minute we shouldn’t really be complaining. I pushed this a bit further and she said she could only fix it by giving a discount, which I said would be fine, and then she said “you’re being pretty cheeky though since we got you a table last minute”. I was made to feel pretty rubbish by the manager here all in all. If you are given a menu with certain prices, those should be honoured. The manager attempted to blame their mistake on us, and seemed to be dishonestly charging most customers at the restaurant more than was on their menu.

Came for bottomless brunch, I don't think they were well suited to it. Food was very tasty but drinks took a long time to arrive and often when I asked for a refill I was left waiting and had to ask multiple times. There was only one choice of cocktail (rum and apple juice, more like a mixed drink). For £40 you would expect better variety. The staff seemed like they were trying their best but just weren't equipped to handle that many tables. A shame because the food was great, would've been better off just ordering normal brunch.

Me and my friends were looking for a nice restaurant in waterloo area when we came The green room. We were totally surprised by the quality of food. It was really yummy. All the plates were amazing! The service was great, special thanks to Michelle, Zaira, Sebastian and Gesel. The atmosphere was too nice! They were also very accommodative to our orders and wishes and customise the dishes accordingly. Totally recommended!

Incredible experience overall! Since I started my vegan journey (the only one in my group) I was quite hesitant to try new restaurants because of the lack of food options but let me tell you something … they have a great variety of food and the hamburger that I tried was dreamy. The chips were crispy and you could tell that they were restaurant made and not frozen. The service incredibly helpful and more than willing to accommodate my needs and offer their professional expertise when required (special shoutout to Zaira, Michelle and Gesel) The advised me to order some lemonade with ginger that was refreshing. I’m looking forward to returning soon. Thank you for a 5 stars experience🤩

Great vegetarian and vegan spot. Portions are great, great flavours and they do a cocktail happy hour. Great for a date night or a group of old mates hanging out and catching up after a few years. Got some nice music but not too loud so you can hear yourself think!

Great atmosphere and lively. Couple more floor staff might have been nice but we weren't waiting too long to be served. Food very good but not ground breaking.worth the reasonable prices. Highly recommend for the vegan menu which runs through January and for the vegan options on the regular menu. Glad we paid a visit

The service for starters was fantastic; from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. The food was delicious, especially the pizza which was cooked to my perfection. The menu was reasonably priced and thought it reflected the quality of the food. I have recommended this place to all friends and family. Would definitely come back.

Great spot for outdoor undercover drinks, the heaters and blankets make it really cosy and the Cocktail menu is great, as well as friendly staff. Will definitely be back again!

Food and drinks were good. Very loud if you're looking for a place where you don't have to shout across the table then this isn't the place.

I can not recommend The Green Room at all. I was there with a friend yesterday, lovely outside space. We sat down and tried to order the Sundown Spritz - the Green Room advertised that very drink less than a week ago on their instagram in a post. We asked three (!!!) different waiters for the drink but were not only met with a "no we don't do that" but also complete disillusion about what that drink is. The comical part about the interaction was that we sat right next to the MASSIVE umbrella that advertised the drink as well as all the deck chairs. Not one of the waiters knew about the drink. The worst was yet to come though - we ordered a normal jug of pimms and when it got delivered the waiter said "some sangria" and put it on the table. When I looked at him and asked "Sangria?" he looked back at me and said "yeah.. I guess.. looks like Sangria.. doesn't matter" and left. To top it all off when we got the bill (we left after that one jug because quite frankly the whole experience felt like we were in the twilight zone) there was a £1 charge for tap water. I asked what the charge is for because it's tap water and was met with a "I think its for a charity thing.. is that an issue?" To sum it up: The service was abysmal, the pimms overpriced (and NOT sangria), the toilets were completely FILTHY and I can't recommend to anyone ever going there in good conscious

I'm sorry, The Green Room. I used to LOVE you. You've let yourself go. Are you okay, hon? You used to have great service but... struggling to find servers who want to serve, eh? I know, it's hard. The drinks used to be good, too, but... crikey, that concoction with rhubarb... jam? is it? Ya, no. It was better than the Rum Cough Syrup, though. Gross babe. Just leave it. I liked the salad. The chicken burger was... is the brioche bun meant to be... black? Mm? Again, the servers. Can we just not invite them next time? I mean, we barely saw them anyway, and even when we tried to signal they come over they just seemed really put out. They were having a good old gas and we were just, ugh, what now, yes?! Ugh, your turn, you go. What? A coffee, too? Seriously? On the plus side, you didn't have all the items on the menu, so it was easier to decide what not to eat. I hope you're feeling better soon. I'm sure this is just a rough patch. Get well soon.

Service was great and place looks nice! We had a large group and they handled the evening well!! Mixed feelings on the food...steak was cooked perfectly but the meat quality was not good, perhaps close to expiry date but a real shame since everything else was real nice.

I had a white pizza. It was undercooked. It was not raw but the crust texture was like a soft bread. It is very loud and the dishes are average. I was only happy that I had an Italian beer.

A great location with a lovely ambience. I absolutely enjoyed the chicken liver pâté and yorkshire herb-fed bronzed turkey. However, the custard on the Christmas pudding burnt which kind of ruined the dessert for me. The place seemed to have good vegan options on the menu. The service was ok. Went with colleagues and had a great time here! Would love to visit again.

Love this place, staff always very friendly. Had a roast dinner and OMG it was amazing. I had never had vegetable the way they make them, it was almost better than the meat. Definitely go back to try some other dishes. And it’s dog friendly

The Green Room has always been a fav of mine 10/10. A restaurant that I have always recommended to others, have booked for staff Christmas Lunches and have brought friends who are visiting from abroad to. Until last week (my birthday)........For a Friday evening, I was surprised how quiet it was. It has always been busy / had a nice vibe when I have had dinner / lunch at the GR but it seemed really dead on the night. Came for dinner with a few mates (7pm), was asked shortly after arriving if we were having coffees and to order if we wanted coffee as they would soon be turning the coffee machine off. We hadn't even really looked at the menu for dinner and hadn't even thought about coffees which we may have had at the end of the evening. Later we were asked the same with regards to if we wanted cocktails, as they wanted to turn the cocktail machine off / stop serving cocktails at a certain time (still relatively early in the evening) Most of the guests didn't drink alcohol, and I might add that we were not a rowdy bunch, nor did we complain about anything (food/ service) while we were at the GR. Nearing to the end of the evening (still early), we felt rushed to leave and the manager started putting all the kitchen lights off. We and the few other individuals at the GR got the message and we started to make our way to leave. We asked for a pic before leaving, gentleman seemed annoyed / frustrated, took two snaps and handed the phone back and when we looked at the pic they were blurred anyway. I don't really care about the pic but more his attitude / feeling pushed to leave even after the group as a whole spent a few hundred pounds on dinner. I had never had a bad meal at the GR before, but my husband mentioned when we got home that the fish was oily, that the service was bad and that he didn't ever want to go to the GR again. Not sure if the GR needed to close early for whatever reason on the night or if the GR is under new owners / new management but the service was seriously lacking. Shame that it was on my birthday and at a place I had raved to my friends about in terms of the atmosphere, food and service. If this is one bad night I can understand, but if the GR is under new owners / managers and this is how they choose to treat their long standing customers / customers in general, then I doubt we will be returning to the GR again.

A hidden gem in the heart of Southbank! Lovely surprise to find such a great venue with a huge outdoor space in the heart of Southbank. Everything was delicious especially the Burrata and meatballs small plates as well as the warm chocolate brownie - wow! Looking forward to visiting in the summer when we can sit outside. Highly recommended.
