When there is so much choice like in Mercato Metropolitano, it's tricky to figure out what the genuinely great quality places are. I can honestly say (and this is after many regular visits to Mercato as a local to elephant and castle) that this is the best spot. I'm obsessed with the Bali baos, the pork and chicken satay are insanely flavoursome and moreish. There are options for vegans too and more substantial but equally tasty rice dishes. No more food envy! P.s It is a little tricky to find initially as it's set away from the main hall so you have to pop through the secret garden bar entrance or come in from outside. There are seats around the area and some great cocktails in the neighbouring stall too.

Yum yum yum!! This was such a hidden Gem, in the garden bit of Mercato! Burger was delish! And perfect with a cocktail. Definitely will be back to try EVERYTHING!!

Oh WOW the most delicious food. The tempeh, the pork belly, everything is unreal 🤤 Independent restaurant run by the loveliest people. Please go visit, won’t be disappointed!!

Super delicious flavours and really unique!! I had the chicken satay and glazed pork baos with their special chips. Fast and friendly service. Seek this place out, we are definitely going back asap!

Toko Bali is delicious, by far the best of the places I’ve tried at Mercato Metropolitano. If you enjoy a bao bun (& who doesn’t) this is the place for you (the pork was particularly good) & the rice bowl is equally tasty too. Highly recommend this place

That tempeh bao is to die for! I'll be back for more as soon as the train will carry me 💖
