I discovered this establishment via Google Maps, attracted by its favorable reviews, and I must admit, it exceeded my expectations. The cuisine is delectable, crafted to order and of excellent quality, all at very reasonable prices, offering outstanding value. The personnel are amiable, and the atmosphere is pristine, with ample seating. Certainly a destination worth exploring!

Pretty affordable Turkish restaurant in Ilford. Good food quality. The staff are not smily and they don’t look after you as I think they should. They are not horrible but they are very far away of what one would expect. I suppose that the reason is just lack of proper training. Still an interesting place to go. No alcohol licensed so it’s a shame not being able to enjoy some wine with the lovely Turkish meat recipes or grilled fish.

Had high hopes for this place but their staff ruined my experience. At the time of my visit the restaurant was busy, so the atmosphere was stuffy and hot. As we were a fairly large group we were waiting on people so I asked one of the waitress that if she can give us a jug of drinking water with ice, whilst we waited. She turned around and said that I cannot have drinking water in a jug but she can give us bottled water. So in a stuffy restaurant, on a warm afternoon, with no air conditioning whatsoever, the waitress refused to give me drinking water as I waited for the rest of the group to join. Absolutely diabolical! 😡 As a result, I went out and brought my own drink. Talk about being hospitable to your paying customer? The food was below average if I'm brutally honest, as I've eaten in alot of Turkish places; however their platters are quite generous. Will I visit there again? Not a chance! Especially if the staff cannot provide mere drinking water to your waiting-paying-customers because the restaurant is worried that it will lose money to drinking water. How was the food? I took my time to taste the food because I didn't want to base my experience from the waitress neglect to give drinking water. Unfortunately the food was sub standard and lacked taste, especially the rice. The bulgar tasted better but just by a tad bit. Rest of the group got desert but I didn't stay because that's how bad my experience was. Shame of you sultan restaurant! 🤨

Sultan serves turkish authentic food. I ordered Chicken Shish and Chicken wrapped Beyti. Both were amazingly Scrumptious. The staff is courteous. I am a bit disappointed with the dining space. It is congested and very inconvenient to move around. They offer a complimentary Turkish tea. Tip 1: Sultan only accepts Cash payments. Don't worry, there are few ATMs nearby. Tip 2: I would recommend to reserve the table during the peak hours(evenings/holidays) else you might have to wait for sometime.

I highly recommend this Turkish restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and charming atmosphere makes it a top choice. For their staff:: forgot to ask their name-- Hats off to them for their service. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions. I can't wait to visit again and indulge in more of their culinary delights! Note:: If they can make sitting arrangement more spacious it will be really great.

This place is always busy but I guess that’s a good sign but this is why I rated service at 4 as it’s hard to get the waiters attention but when they did arrive they were friendly and attentive. The portion here is big so be ready to eat well. The food is also pretty good and actually tasty. They do supply bread before you get your meal, the chili sauce isn’t as good as it use to be. There is so many items here to choose from on the menu but I did enjoy the liver!!! Spring roll portion was also worth the price and the mains were huge, I enjoyed the ribs they were cooked well and not too tough to eat. They do offer commentary tea which is a nice touch. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dates especially on a busy sat night! It’s quite hard to hear conversations as the tables are so close but definitely worth a visit though if you are hungry and want some good Turkish food in East London.

It is good restaurant for Turkish food. Service staff is amazing and they work like robots. They all hard workers and I give five star to all staff who serve food. But ………. I want to point out one problem. Managers are really really rude and unprofessional, unethical and no managers. I am witnessing that managers really disrespected to customer charging them full even their food was late and they didn’t eat it. I am giving 0 star to all managers and management. Tables are very tightly managed and customer can hardly walk. I ordered today chef’s special for collecting and requesting spicy bred but when I opened food at home it was normal. It’s not first time or last time they never change themselves. While again I can say food is tasty.

I went to this sultan Turkish restaurant recently and found it to be excellent. Although we did not have reservations they found us a table for 2 almost immediately. The food was excellent and the staff although very busy, we're intentive and very friendly. I would recommend this place as although I had not eaten Turkish food before it was a very pleasant experience, and I will be returning soon Highly recommended this place

Great customer service with good eating in space. Ensure you book a table ahead of time as they can really get busy.

Food is great and generous portions. Space/tables bit tight but still worth the minor cramp because the food is amazing! Majority of the staff are friendly although we came across a young slim built chap with styled hair who came across rather impatient, but we laughed about it and enjoyed the food!

This place has managed to retain its status as a family favourite for the past several years. One of the best Turkish restaurants in East London. The food is always fresh, fast service. The platters are the best choice to get a variety of everything. The Lamachun and Albanian liver are also exceptionally good. The complimentary tea is the perfect finishing touch. If you ask, they usually bring you some Turkish delight to go with it too.

These are good Turkish restaurants. Sepcially their price is still good if we compare it to wazir. It's gets very busy on weekends. The place is congested. But I will still love it over wazir. It's a recommended place for Turkish food.

When ever we want’s Turkish food we always go to Sultan Restaurant in Ilford, we try many other restaurants but this one is good. Mix platter for 4 is big enough for 5 people. At the end Turkish tea is complimentary 👌

Customer service - 5/5 Seating availablity - 5/5 Time taken to order food - 5/5 Time taken for food to arrive - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Portion size- 5/5 Price - 5/5 Restaurant appearance- 5/5 Typical spend - £20-30 (two people) Recommend? Yes We came here just after lunch time and it wasn't so busy so no booking was required and we were given a table of our choice. Staff were welcoming from the beginning, attentive and quick. We ordered the Sultans Chef Mixed Special at 1430, salad arrived 1432, the bread arrived at 1440 and the food arrived at 1455. It took a little longer than other Turkish places I've been to but the wait is well worth it! The bread came hot and fresh, very soft and crispy on the outside. The food was very delicious, full of flavour and lots! We hadn't realised that the Mixed Special was for 3-4 people but that's okay because we had leftover to take home. Atmosphere is very nice in there, almost feels like you're in Turkey! Nothing negative to say about this place. Recommend highly and we will be coming back.

A big thumbs up for the warm service. The food was really fresh. Nothing to say about the behaviour best in one word. Thank you Mr. Memo for talking with us in busy moment, taking selfie and also for the complementary desert. Thank you all for showing so much patience during closing hours. Really a good place for family and friends gathering. Would advise and suggest everyone to go have a look.
