🫤 Doctors are OK.. But like most reviews the receptionists are diabolical. Zero empathy. Also have to say that since Covid the surgery has been next to useless. Been diagnosed with Brain tumour, but not by the Albion, but by A&E. Seem A&E are now the only option if you need to be examined by a doctor.... People often mention surgery, appointment, service, staff, form, care, reception, doctors, told, call,

And yet again, another unhelpful, rude response to a call with a query about a repeat prescription. Not listened to, spoken over continually and blaming that you're snowed under? Shockingly bad service now, impossible to see a dr when you really need to and just do their best to redirect you anywhere else or just do an e-consult' - I don't need a consultation! We are lucky with our health and rarely have to bother a doctor but that appears to be irrelevant. 'You'll hear in due course' to my husband who can't walk on his ankle, (didn't, so Urgent care it is) - you've got IBS, to my son - we knew it wasn't, took him to hospital and he had an emergency appendectomy the same day. You've got hay fever to my daughter, who had breathing problems - ended up to get a private diagnosis as she had polyps growing that had blocked her sinuses. Was told my ongoing cough was asthma - again had to resort to the expense of private help which diagnosed I now have a permanent chronic lung condition... and on it goes... unlucky? No, as it's too consistent. Consequently, my family have no faith or trust in our care and either have to try to address things ourselves, often at our expense, or go straight to Urgent Care. Sorry to the poor hospital staff - because actually, they really are most definitely snowed under.

Disgusting place! You believe there are actually people working there. It’ clearly saying is opened until 8pm on Monday and Wednesday. Came at the door at 7:15pm and no one to let you in. Lights on, inside doors opened and no one to see. After 15 min waiting at the door and pressing reception bell I spot the cleaner inside. I ask her if she can come near door or to open and she just waves with her hand that is closed. No even bothered to come near me. Eventually I gave up and decided to walk away and I spot a nurse inside. She was the whole time in, heard me knocking the door and pressing the buzzer and never bothered to come and see what I need that urgent. Was actually coming just to drop the form to become a patient there. Quess what? Never ever going near that place and I absolutely do not recommend anyone to fo there.

What a terrible surgery. The admin in this place is diabolical. You can no longer phone to book an appointment. Instead they want you to fill in a 'E Consult' form. Thats fine but the only problem is they very rarely respond to the 'form' in the time line they say they will respond. When I phoned them to say I've not received a reply to my form and could I book an appointment they replied 'NO' and that someone will get back to me. When will that be? Soon apparently! Negligence comes to mind! Your insurers should take note.

I wouldn't recommend this surgery. Our family has got several incidents got brushed away but fortunately highlighted and brought back by the other professionals. And the receptionists, don't we love them the most? always hold this superior 'I don't care at all, it's not my business' demeanor and only focus on the administrative side of things even under the life threatening circumstances.

I joined this practice in April, All the Drs I have dealt with over the last few months have been fantastic, they listen show empathy provide excellent care, I’ve never felt rushed when having a consultation. I would most definitely give 5* for the GPs. Unfortunately the reception staff appear to lack empathy towards patients, they like to challenge every you say to them, considering they are the first point of contact they should be understanding towards their patients and show compassion and care towards them. There has been 1 receptionist who has gone above and beyond the others require improvement with their communication skills towards patients and would benefit from some training in how to communicate with patients.

I have been with this surgery since it was at 2A The Broadway in the 1960s and I started with Dr Bolton, followed by Dr Joyner, who were both very good. Today the service is poor. Dr Emma Aygekum appears to have been Negligent and should have referred me to the specialist for a cancerous growth on my forehead to be removed after three months, but she failed to do so. It was only when I managed to get another appointment with Dr Ascott-Barber that I was referred to the specialist, who was appalled that I hadn't been referred sooner. I now have a growth on my back that Dr Rasheedah Amussah gave me some anti-biotics for, which helped. However, she took photos a few months ago and was supposedly sending them to the specialist, but I've heard nothing. I phoned the surgery after a month, only to be told they have heard nothing. It's now months yet still nothing. She should chase them up and get me an appointment, but it would appear she does nothing. I've emailed the surgery but have not had a reply, I suppose she's too afraid to get back to me. If it turns out to also be cancerous, then this will look like the second case of negligence at the Albion Surgery against me. I'm not impressed, but the Crook Log Surgery has very bad reviews as well, so unless we go private, it looks as though the NHS GP surgeries are forever going to give us poor service, especially with this ridiculous online system we have to keep using now just to get an appointment. I question what our National Insurance contributions and taxes are getting spent on, because they certainly aren't on constantly good service from local GP surgeries. I also seriously question what qualifications Doctors Aygekum and Amussah have.

Is there an option for zero stars? Worst surgery I've ever had to deal with. This needs to be shut down or have a complete staff overhaul. They are rude, unprofessional and incompetent. Have lost my samples, lied, then asked me to come get another one. Can't complete a call transfer properly which is infuriating having been on hold for over an hour then having your call dropped. Their CCG will be hearing from me directly.

Excellent service and quick response always. All the doctors and staff are very supportive. Me and my family we are so happy for their support. Specially for my health condition, whenever i asked for help they always support me with good care. Whenever I've completed e consult form, I always get quick response on the same working day working days

We have seen many different doctors and nurses at this practice and all of them have given fantastic professional, friendly care taking the time to ask appropriate questions and fully explain their diagnoses and recommended treatments. They have always also been great about following up to check how referrals are going etc. The admin staff are also all always friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Never had a problem getting an appointment when needed even during the pandemic they have clearly worked hard on their treage system and making patients feel comforable. We have had both phone and face to face appointments as appropriate as well as routine appointments like childhood vaccinations, prescription renewals, tests and a new baby check up.

Cant praise this surgery enough. Since covid they have become so efficient no need to phone just fill in a e-consult form before 9am and you can be offered an appointment within a few hours on the same day if necessary, not many surgeries can do this.

Never known such a pointless surgery, claims to have doctors in it, ive never seen one! impossible to get prescriptions, was told to come and collect a sick note that is at reception, then proceeded to wait over an hour for the peice of paper because it wasn’t at redemption nor made and printed off.

Went here today and was immediately handed a face mask from a receptionist who was not wearing one herself. No notice on the door to say about masks, and was greeted by the usual rude staff, saying "it's the doctors decision". I'm finding it hard to understand why members of the general public are forced to wear a mask, where nowhere else asks you too, PLUS I never saw one member of staff in their reception area wearing a mask. No wonder this surgery has such poor reviews.

Can't work out how to book an appointment. Not allowed to walk in and book one, even though I live right by the surgery. Tried to complete an e consult on Sunday - not allowed to on Sunday. Tried on Monday and was told to try again the next day. What is going on!!!! Why are doctor's appointments so elusive - where are they all?

I am having to contact the surgery fairly regularly to support my elderly parents. Response times have been amazingly quick and everyone I've spoken to has been empathetic and incredibly helpful. Really impressive as I know all NHS services are under huge pressure. It's making things so much easier at this tricky time.

My 3 year old was ill so I did an e-consult as suggested on their website. Once I completed this I got a call back within about an hour and an appointment an hour after. I spoke to 3 people- a receptionist, nurse and Dr. All were very helpful and polite. And my daughter even got a sticker! I was very impressed with the visit.

I have been with the Albion Surgery since moving to the area just over 3 years ago. I have experienced 10/10 care from every doctor I’ve seen here. When completing the online form I receive a call within hours which either arranged a face to face appointment the same day for my children or an instant solution to my concern. Cannot fault it. Especially appreciate Dr Arscott-Barber as he is always happy to help and responds in a very timely manner.

I had my first doctors appointment at Albion surgery, I was not happy with having to wait 3 weeks for my appointment after waiting 45 mins on the phone to get through to be told do it online, so I did and got a message stating I have to wait 3 weeks, whilst waiting a man came in and ask for an appointment as he had a bad ankle and got an appointment next day at 9.15 so I was very annoyed, until I met DR BATLEY what an amazing Dr, the best Dr I have ever had in my life, he listened to me, was very patient and understanding referred me to all the scans and tests I need and gave me medication that is actually helping, I can not thank him enough. What a lovely Dr honestly he needs more recognition, he turned my whole Drs appointment process around, gave 4 stars for the wait and dismissal of receptionist. 5 stars for Dr Batley

I'm a current patient of this surgery. We have joined up two years ago and it's been nothing but a headache. I hardly go into the surgery but when I've been in its usually because something has been an issue for a while. The doctors clearly don't get training on surgery procedures. They've forgotten to do referrals, which I've only found out after months as I hadn't heard back. Twice and recently they've "lost" my husband's stool sample, which I'm suspicious about because they refused to accept his sample because it was a Friday and there was no pick up untill Monday. We had been told by a doctor to bring in the stool sample before 6 pm which was incorrect info which resulted in reception refusing to accept the sample. They only accepted the sample because I wanted an answer as to why doctors aren't getting training to know this information so they're not misinforming patients. I had a feeling they were accepting to appease me. Anyway four weeks later after three I'll be putting in an independent complaint to Pals chaseups they tell us the stool sample got destroyed in transit. Msuspicious because similar stories have happened to a range of neighbours and friends who are joined to this surgery..

This surgery is incredible. The service I have received since joining last year is like nothing I have ever had at any other surgery. The staff are super nice and the e-consult service is superb and it works.

My mum uses this surgery and told me today that one of the receptions refused to help my mum with an appointment because of a wound that disgusted her (the receptionist) and that she could not look at her. I am disgusted by the unprofessional behaviour. How dare you make my mother feel ashamed and embarassed like that. How dare you! Do better!

The worst service I’ve experienced, they lost my register form. Argued with me about it that if I’d brought my form in they’d sent me a confirmation text. No care whatsoever or understanding for humanity. No concern for the sick whatsoever.

Amazing, I have been with this surgery nearly 4 years and honestly 1 of the best. From reception staff to the doctors. If I have had any issues with form online. Reception staff have been amazing and happy to help. This surgery does not get enough credit.

I did an E consult form online around 8.30 this morning, I was telephoned by a doctor and had an appt within 2 hours. I saw a very helpful paramedic called Jonathan who was interested, helpful and really articulate about my query, explaining everything through the consultation. Antibiotics collected from chemist of my choice and back home before lunchtime. Thank you very much The Albion - brilliant service.

I have been registered with this GP for nearly 6 years now. I have always got same day appointments especially for my little one which is quite helpful. The staff are friendly and supportive.

Patient of more than 20 years here, the surgery are utterly hopeless. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Won’t complete a form confirming I am of sound mind because “it’s our policy” if your GP can’t confirm you are of sound mind and health who can. Won’t pick up the phone to tell you instead they send text messages. Sadly had to move GP because of the awful service .
