I visited friends who staying here over an Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Used the bar and ate in the restaurant. The prices were good, especially for London and the communal areas certainly appeared very nice, with the usual military theme of plaques and pictures. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially to my friend, who was visiting London for the first time with three children, and very nervous about it. They found the accommodation pleasant, and enjoyed their stay. The food in the restaurant was basic but good value.

The venue has had a good renovation from the last time I visited. It is clean and more spacious with more seating available for socialising. The venue is busy with a vibrant crowd, especially during sporting events. There is seating available by the reception for a quieter atmosphere. The service is fast and the prices are very reasonable. A good venue that supports the ex-service professional.

Love staying here. It can seem a bit pricey, even for members but that’s because it doesn’t operate a charging policy akin to airlines i.e, book early to get it cheap. It’s the same rates whenever you book and on that basis, a double for a night in that location is reasonable. It’s a very good 3*, maybe 3*+, and all staff are great. Room windows are not especially soundproofed well but otherwise the rooms are good. The rest of the club is very smart with a big nod to military history in the decor.

Amazing location, staff and service. Our first time of using the Union Jack Club. Had an extended weekends stay last weekend and it did not disappoint. We will most certainly be back. Keep doing what you do, excellent customer service and welcoming reception.

Cheap, even for non members like me,nice place tho to catch up with fellow veterans. Good selection of beers. My room was small, the bathroom was bigger ! Hardly noticed the noise from outside that people complain about. Staff were superb and very helpful. Only prob I had was waiting on a lift for over 7 minutes, must have been a "peak" time but there's little that could be done about that

Absolutely brilliant, we loved the time there. Took me back quite a few years in many ways. Reunion Groups of old boys enjoying the banter and just being together again, very moving. Why did it take this old vet so long to visit? It'll not be long till my next. Lovely happy staff, great location and superb rooms. 5☆plus.

Clean. Comfortable. Bar very good and reasonable prices. Making a booking can be chaotic. Just rings and rings if they are busy. No message just rings. All staff excellent. Room cleaning service very efficient

First visit to this marvelous establishment and it certainly won't be the last. We had a lovely time, room and meals were excellent and the staff were so welcoming. A lot of hotels could learn from the service that is provided here. It is more a family feeling than a business

Great location just south of the river and very close to Waterloo station. The single rooms are immaculately clean and seem to have been recently updated. You need to book in advance as it does fill up especially on weekends. The breakfast is very good value,I haven't eaten in the restaurant in the evening but it does look good quality. A great asset for the forces family in the centre of London.

We stayed here last week as we were visiting family for the day. After a very long journey getting to London, we had a lovely surprise to find that we had been upgraded to a beautifully decorated and recently refurbished suite. It offered wonderful nighttime views of Central London - what a shame we were only staying for the one night. Our evening meal was well cooked and delicious, and breakfast the following day was just what we needed to set us up for the long day ahead. The waiting/bar staff were professional, helpful, and courteous as usual. This is always our go-to place to stay whenever we visit Central London. We look forward to visiting again soon

Great prices for central London. But the rooms absolutely need air conditioning. Stayed during the August heatwave, and were on floor 12. Had to leave the windows open and then we had to combat the noise from the active night life in the area, which wouldn't have been as bad if we could shut the windows.

A brilliant place if you are lucky enough to have access. As cheap if not cheaper than any hotel you can find and much better service / utilities BUT this is a place for staying and visiting elsewhere not a “destination hotel” , great bar etc but don’t expect a pool / spa- that said great (cheap) bar and in house restaurant. As above probably no where better to stay for the money anywhere in London m.

The Union Jack Club near Waterloo Station is an exclusive venue restricted to army, navy, and airforce personnel. The establishment offers a commendable selection of drinks, and the overall environment is well-kept, providing a neat and comfortable experience for its members

If you are a current service person or a veteran, why would you stay anywhere else? Best value in London for accommodation, bar and restaurant. Plus all the added value of the fantastic facilities and staff. 5 stars.

Great breakfast in the club. Buffet arrangement for £13 which is great value in central London. The food was tasty and the service very friendly. You can only eat in here if you have served in the military, or are signed in by a member.

Always efficiently run, reliable place to stay. Easy to get to from coach and train, nice South Bank walk really close by. Breakfast plentiful, double room sizes vary, we had a smaller room up on the 19th floor this time (the views!) but it still contained all we needed and the lifts worked continuously. VERY busy when we stayed (4thNov) but still OK.

Spotless hotel, rooms are great and bathrooms are spacious and clean, very comfortable beds, great seating areas, bar and restaurant. Staff are fantastic and friendly, felt really safe and at home here and I’m looking forward to returning!

Great location and nice stay in central London. Rooms were a little hot with no AC so bare that in mind if staying in peak summer. They do have a fan in each room though. Tea/coffee making facilities in room and 2 x short bread biscuits.

What a fantastic place. Well served restaurant and bar. Staff uniforms were a nice touch. Rooms very clean and a fabulous shower in the bathroom. We had a lovely view across the city.

Another excellent stay at the Union Jack Club. Stayed on the 24th floor in a single non en-suite room which was no problem toilet and showers close by. Very convenient location across the road from Waterloo Station. As usual staff very friendly and helpful.

Great accommodation for work in London. Rooms are basic but do the job. The breakfast is fantastic and so is the drinks bar. I didn't try the restaurant but would like to the next time I stay

Couldn’t ask for a better fairly priced hotel in the heart of London, great location down the road from Waterloo! Staff were great and attentive and the bar was definitely a bonus!

Right in the heart of London! A welcoming and caring staff, great rates for single rooms if you need somewhere central, modestly prices drink and food, I wish my veteran mate had told me about it sooner!

Hotel is right in the heart of London, directly across the road from Waterloo. The location is fantastic. However, upon check in the receptionist was more interested in her mobile phone messages than checking us in. Her phone was open on the desk and she was scanning and reading her messages whilst she processed our room cards. This for me is unprofessional. The room is basic but fine. Views really good across London. Pillows lumpy bumpy and uncomfortable and the room was like a sauna. The cleaner hadn’t done a good job and a used sanitary towel had been left in the bin The hotel communal areas were clean and well presented and the toilets downstairs clearly recently refurbished and were modern. Yet to have breakfast as I’m awake during the night writing this as the heating generator is so loud I’ve had a terrible nights sleep.
