    I have been registered with this surgery for a long time. At the start, it was good, the receptionist and the GP were nice. Nowadays it’s totally upside down, the receptionist are rude and the GP are worse as some staff are new. I still don’t understand what they are paying for if they are not being nice and kind to their patients. Patients should be their main priority. The management is very bad. I will never ever recommend this surgery to anyone. Felt very disappointed and dissatisfied when you were treated badly by this surgery. Because they think some patients are getting free treatment, so they don’t even bother to offer best service. If there is a option for zero star, I will go for it. Not even one star will worth for this surgery.

    It has been two years since the start of the pandemic and you are still unable to see a GP. I can see a doctor at the hospital but they are still refusing to see patients at this surgery! Very unprofessional. Extremely difficult to arrange a "telephone" appointment since this is the only way to have a consultation. Have to keep checking online to see IF and When an available slot pops up! Do not even try to bother calling them as no one seems to pick up, same day appointment forget about it! If you do manage to book one, it will ring once and then just disconnect. You will receive a text response stating they have tried to contact you and did not answer. If you call back and manage to speak to someone and enquire about what just happened they will just terminate the call on you. Have been at this surgery since it's been open. Total shambles now. Absolutely pathetic!

    The receptionist named renuka is a very horrible and disgusting person as she doesn’t know how to behave with a patient and have no manners and was very rude. How do this illiterate people get job in the NHS. Please read this review and take actions against her and fire her on immediate basis as she is just testing patience of the patients and have zero rating and manners. Plus she looks awful as well on the top. No quality to work in NHS.

    Worst GP Practice in UK, Staff are rude & unhelpful and tell lies to get rid of the patients. Failure to answer the phones or even deal with queries. Total shambles, only too happy to prescribe drugs to & refuse to see patients. All staff need re-training.

    I have been a registered patient at this practise for over 30 years and I have been trying to get an appointment to see a Dr for over 2 months now to no avail. Today after getting through to the reception I have been told that I can only have a telephone appointment on a certain day but no particular time . I'm a driver and if I get that call while I am driving I will not be able to receive that call . The reception also said I cannot have a face to face appointment with any Dr. Now I need physical examination by my GP doctor and I don't understand how this is possible over the phone . Why can't I see my Dr face to face I cannot understand. The online service is not working either. I am desperate to see a doctor who can the maybe understand my problem or arrange consultation. Please change the way forward we come to the practise only because we need to not for fun.

    Admin staff are beyond unhelpful, time wasting, act like they are the doctors??? SOME of the doctors are actually really good, helpful, LISTEN as a pose to those who barely hear you, cut you off and fob you off, that one star is for those decent gps there otherwise this place needs a big management change, one that doesn’t allow admin to act like gps

    Blood test centre stuff don't have a clue what they are doing, took my daughter in for an urgent blood test sent by gp but was told they don't have any slots available, after arguing about it and told them it's urgent so no appointment necessary was told a cancellation has come up an hour later so had to wait. Absolutely disgusting service.

    This is an extremely busy service in a largely deprived area. Under the circumstances I think they do a good job. You've got to judge them in the atmosphere of NHS underfunding overall. Receptionists are always nice and courteous to me. Maybe those who criticise should consider the attitude they bring to the occasion. !!!

    Submitted an online consultation for me and my 3 year old. The doctor who called for me called twice in a space of 1 minute no gaps and prescribed antibiotics without speaking with me. I visited 4 pharmacy’s to which the last one informed me that those antibiotics were out of stock for a long time, resubmitted a form as couldn’t get through over the phone and was not contacted even though I was in a lot of pain and needed the antibiotics! The second doctor who called for my son told me he had a viral infection and did not ask me to send any pictures of his rashes all over his body and mouth even though he is only 3 years old and should have been seen or his pictures seen at least. I called back this morning 8 on the dot and was 2nd it took 20 minutes to speak to a receptionist who talked over me continuously telling me I spoke to a doctor and he prescribed antibiotics and I said I didn’t speak to the doctor and antibiotics aren’t in stock and I need a referral also but she told to submit a new form to which I already told her I had yesterday etc. I rarely go to the GP but when you’re in a lot of pain & know you need antibiotics to go through all of this malarkey is very unpleasant and upsetting.

    This is the most unprofessional disgusting GP I’ve ever encountered. They’ve got freshies working who don’t know how to act professionally by UK standards. It’s not just the receptionists, but GPs too. They think they can make patients uncomfortable by making rude comments in a completely unprofessional manner. Disgusting. Take HR training. Once I find out her name I’ll be taking this to Healthwatch.

    Its horrible experience when I called one of the receptionist in early morning at 9am asking to confirm urgent medication with doctor and she lied to me saying she will message doctor and get back to me via text message or phone call by 11am and it was past 11am and when i called surgery another receptionist picked up the call and said there is nothing mentioned in system. I don't understand why she lied to me. Shrewsbury road surgery should really investigate this careless receptionist for providing false information. Very dissapointed

    The dr was a bit weird and rude, he was asking me to reduce weight even though I’m skinny, also he was not clear about anything while I explained my issues he just advised to get surgery no alternative option

    I’ve been with this gp since I was a baby, I get anxiety every time I call because of the rude and disrespectful Atmosphere in the gp surgery, it starts with the racist and rude receptionist who speak to everyone like they are illiterate or hard of hearing, it’s condescending. There’s only 2 good doctors there one is doctor bachu and I’m not sure of the male doctors name but he has a beard. Dr bachu is amazing she gives You time to explain your concerns with out rushing you and speaks to you in a respectful way, you can tell she cares. The rest of the doctors don’t want to hear your issue, cut you in the middle of you explaining your issue and act like you’ve called 60 times so you can tell them tales. I have given 1 star but really it’s -1. I think the staff need training on equality and diversity and upholding patients dignity and integrity. And the receptionist need to remember they are just administration staff and haven’t gone to uni for 5+ years to study medicine. And the doctors need to learn how to listen because that’s their job, to LISTEN to their patients concerns to help them come up with the best way to deal with their issue. Another thing that might help is if you stop assuming things and grouping people and treat every patient like an individual.

    I had an appointment for an blood test,with email confirmation and letter etc but they couldn't find me on the system.The receptionist was extremely dismissive of the issue and completely uncaring.From what I notice in all the recensions the problem is not with the medical staff which are extremely polite and helpful, the problem is with the reception who are extremly rude and treat you in an unprofessional manner.

    Useless staff, useless service, useless Drs who don’t care what time your seen! Remember it’s there practice funded by NHS So they getting paid and all they wanna do is be tight as a**holes and make More money for themselves !!!!!!!!! All going private and down the the drain! trust me I know. These Drs that can’t speak a word of English some of them and also some of the staff as there is no diversity whatsoever now Grew around the hospital for years and I’m All for change but for the right reasons and everyone every race is treated in the correct and respectful manner not to BS too! You Drs need to think about duty of care and and not your wallets! I’m P****D with the service there. The team who do the bloods and on that reception and everyone else down that part of the building I find friendly but not the other end.

    I called the surgery 20 times between the hours of 8am and 9am. I have evidence of this on my phone. I called as soon as the clock struck 8am. In all the 20 times I called a pre recorded message came on saying the lines were busy and to try again. How do people get through? My son has asthma and was experiencing severe continued coughing over the past 1.5 weeks. I was very concerned. I did not manage to get an appointment. I then called reception later to talk about the situation. The receptionist was extremely rude, dismissive of the issue and completely uncaring. She promised to provide a link to the online consultation but she did not, nothing came through. So she lied. I called a few hours later to make a complaint to the manager . Only then was a nicer receptionist able to allow my son to get an appointment. The doctor was very nice and the second receptionist. The first receptionist, an older woman I initially spoke to was extremely rude and horrible. The nasty receptionist has been the subject of many negative reviews of the Shrewsbury Road Surgery on the internet. She needs to be trained about patient care, courtesy and compassion or be fired. She is a disgrace to the surgery. Completely unprofessional.

    The most doctors are friendly and helpful, but the reception/admin staff are anything but. They do not understand what you are trying to convey and do not try to understand at all! Because of this, I have had problems for over 4months, which could've been resolved in 1 day. Absolute disgrace

    Pretty crowded. Need to wait for my turn patiently. Social distancing and Wearing masks still applicable. Neat tidy safe zone. The best thing I saw was they have bicycle parking stands. Wish I knew it earlier would have brought my bike. I wonder why usually nobody mentions bike parking. Overall good experience as always. The inly complain it is boiling hot in the waiting area.

    Bad service ever. the receptionist are poor and so rude it is more of neglecting patients, these alot just want to get paid for their job but not caring about patients. Covid Restriction is over and still the clinic is still doing telephone consultation when every other hospital and centres are back to normal. Feel disgusted the receptionist told me to book an appointment through call which I was trying - they just put on voice note saying call later so what's the point of saying book through call when it's going on voice message plus they cut the call aswell. This place don't care about human health - they are just saving their practitioners.

    Useless receptionists. Didn’t get my blood test form ready.Said they usually print it on the day of the appointment and that is not true cause it’s printed when my blood test is due.I ordered a repeat prescription that usually comes to my pharmacy and again my pharmacy tells me the surgery hasn’t given to them. Messing with people’s medication. Need better receptionists.

    I was recommended to have my blood test here due to a longer wait with my GP practice. Unfortunately, I witnessed a practitioner speaking extremely rudely and disrespectfully to a patient whilst I was there. She was repeating the same condescending message to her and the patient and her friend nearly left in tears. It was shocking to witness. Nobody said anything to this practitioner and she just got on with her day. I approached reception about this as I believed it was unacceptable, however I was met with ‘I’m not sure what you expect us to do about this’. I was so taken aback by this complete lack of regard of what had happened and wouldn’t recommend this clinic/ health centre to anyone. I hope the practice manager reads these reviews but I can see others have had poor experiences too. Be kind to others! We all pay taxes for the NHS and nobody deserves to be spoken to like this. Shame on the practice for dismissing this matter completely.

    Absolutely pathetic experience. I was booked for a blood test by my GP. I came and noticed one of my forms did not have a barcode. I was verbally abused and laughed at by the blood test employees saying if your result is missing don’t come back to us. What sort of thing is this to say when I always do my blood tests here and have diabetic appointments at this centre? Thankfully I realised after the barcode was already placed on the sample. These workers have no etiquette and so rude for no reason. They don’t understand what people go through in life. There was no need to be rude and ridicule me just to have a laugh with your colleagues.

    I had done an appointment for my little brother that had high temperature and the lady in the call had said to come at 9:10 in the clinic but when I arrived there she said that I had not said that birthday even though they always ask for the birthday in calls before anything else and had refused service for my little brother.
