Probably nice in the summer to have lunch. Pretty miserable in winter or rain. There is a table tennis table. A non working fountain and lots of benches around the sides.

Beautiful and quiet square just few minutes away from Piccadilly Circus. Confusion surrounds whether the statue represents King George II of Great Britain, or King Charles II, as noted on the signage in Golden Square. Oral history recounts that the statue was accidentally won at auction, when the winning bidder raised his hand to greet a friend; the purchase price so low that he decided not to contest and gave the statue as a gift to the people of Golden Square.

This is a small square close of Oxford Circus and Leicester Square. The plants are well kept and the square in the main, very clean. I find it a nice relaxing place to sit and take a breather from the hustle of the surround busy shopping areas. The square itself has a statue of George III in the centre. Some say the statue is actually of Charles II (the incised wording notwithstanding). The area around the square is one of the historic squares of Central London. The square has featured in books such as Baroque Cycle, The System of the World and A Handful of Dust etc. Today the area around the square is a sought-after corporate address for the media companies. There a number of eateries around the square doing takeouts of have outside seating. So i the summer it's a nice place to eat outside.

Golden Square is a great place to relax in the Summer time, people playing table tennis and gets really busy on the warmer days. Some nice sculpture and my favourite recently has been the Kalliopi Lemos - Stiletto heel 2016 From his "Tools of Endearment" series. Fashioned in Stainless Steel, which looks pretty incredible in the sun light. Really nice bit of greenery behind Regent Street and some very nice places to eat really nearby.

A real gem of a place that is somewhat tucked away and usually quieter than soho square which is large but being just off of Oxford street gets v busy! Grab a coffee and a snack and come sit in here. Even on a grey day it’s still got it’s charm. The ‘art works’ change every so often so that’s nice. Well maintained and some pretty flowers dotted around. Great for a relax

Lovely little square for lunch break escapes from the office. Plenty of benches around. A couple of Ping-Pong tables. It’s not as green as I expected though. Quite concrety with a few flower beds. Relaxing and peaceful.

This is a lovely peaceful square near both busy Soho and Oxford Street that is usually pretty quiet (busier at lunchtime from nearby office workers). It had several benches in both the sun and shade. Pretty flowers in Spring/Summer.

Enclosed London square open to all in Soho, great mini park with benches, artwork and flowers surrounded by grass and railings

Lovely square in the Soho area of London, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Circus. Lots of benches and plenty of shade on sunny days.

One of London’s most well-known square, Golden Square in Soho has a long, fascinating history, and a fantastic location. The name ‘Golden Square’ is believed to originate from Gelding Close which referred to land being used for horse grazing. The area gained fame in the 1700s as the home of many foreign diplomatic envoys from countries as Poland, Portugal, Genoa, and Russia.

I had my first ever work experience in London on Golden Square so have know about this quiet but basic breath of fresh air for many many years. Lots of benches, so easy to find a spot to sit on all bar the sunniest of days.

Hidden Just off Regent Street/Piccadilly Circus and a good quiet place to sit for a £3 Tescos Clubcard Meal Deal sandwich, crisps and a bottle of drink bought nearby. Beautiful flowers and a statue to look at whilst you chew

Small and nice if you want to have lunch or coffee in peace and get away from the noisy area around you! A lot of benches are shaded too. Reasonably clean.

Best square in the world. It's right in the middle of the coolest and quietest part of Soho, which is itself the coolest place in the universe. There is a statue of one of the King Georges in the middle dressed as Julius Caesar, and there is the most beautiful rose garden. And the roses were a present from Bulgarian Londoners to all Londoners. On behalf of today's Londoners thank you! I like the way the benches are always full of a variety of folk having a quiet time often alone, as I was. But there are also groups of workmen cheerfully on their breaks. Once I noticed one of the benches was a temporary home for a member of the homeless community. I realised that he was the only person who was actually a resident! Whilst I was there a comrade of his stopped to chat to him which was nice to see. If you are in the area have a sit down and join the many who find peace here.

Attractive square 5 mins from Regent St & Piccadilly Circus. Tree cover, well turned flower beds, lots of benches. Ideal spot to enjoy a take away meal or just a sit down.

Seems to be a popular place to have a break and a sit down for a few minutes, away from the Carnaby Street crowds. A few benches and flower beds - no grass - and a table tennis table! (Saw some kids having a knock-about. Not sure where they got the bats and ball from). A couple of eateries around it, including a sandwich place. Nice place to sit and have a sandwich and just watch the world go by...

Amazing quick eats in London. This is the spot we hit when we want a quick bite that is quality without breaking the bank. Also has a nice square to retreat to and sit for a few minutes when you have fallen into your food coma.

Peaceful, tranquil safe haven open space and refuge from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding businesses. It is clear to see that care is taken to maintain and keep this place clean. Appreciated that the attendant respectfully let us know it would be closing and patiently waited for us to finish our drinks, without any fuss.

A nice tiny square where you can play table-tennis, and relax during lunchtime either by sitting on the benches provided, or sitting on the well kept grass. Clean and tidy. Only 5 mins from Piccadilly Circus.
