I had a fantastic day at Chessington and to round it of we went for a late lunch around 5pm at the smoke house restaurant. Well it was such a disgusting experience I advise anyone never to eat anything there I ordered myself a pulled brisket in a bun with fries and my daughter the barbecue chicken and fries and 2 soft drinks. The fries were as if they were cooked in the morning and kept on a hot plate all day the brisket was one hard lump not pulled at all and very burnt uneatable let alone my daughter’s meal the chicken was burnt to a crisp and black and again stale horrible fries. The only thing we managed to have was our drinks. For the over priced menu it’s definitely not worth it don’t bother. We had KFC on our way home instead.

One star is being generous. Waited over half hour to go in when there were clearly empty tables that they were slow to clean. The brisket was like chewing a flip flop. Don't know how you can mess up frozen chips but they managed it. Don't waste your money.

Disappointing!!! Looks like The ribs which are smoked for 12 hours are left on the counter for another 12 hours to be served, ordered spicy sauce with it which was more like ketchup, their serving trays were filthy, there was sauce on the tray from the customers who used them before. I would recommend the aldi £3 bbq ribs to these anytime.

The restaurant was a mess! Packed and long waits for the chessington Christmas event. Not enough food places open to accommodate the crowds and tickets they have sold. Long wait on dry hot dogs 🌭...so we gave up. Wouldn't return sadly!

No vegan hot dogs here or anywhere in the park. Veggie burgers looked dry and vile so stayed away from them. Mac and cheese and fries was the only other thing for veggies. No other vegan food on offer so even worse for vegans. Food was okay at best. Staff not helpful apart from one person running the show and doing everything for everyone else. Wet and damp smelling trays. Slow service. I could go on. Over priced basic theme park food.

I wish I saw these comments before I paid £50 for a pint + 2 soft drinks. Not only we couldn't finish our meals, we couldn't even start it. My 3yo had a bite from his 6-7 baby doughnuts and refused to eat the rest. Me and the wife were supposed to have pulled pork sandwiches however we got something that looked and tasted like the hair swept from the floor at a barber shop...

The food is a little pricey. And the food is ok, however we as a whole family very much disliked the fries... the staff member who served us initially was very rude and gave a huge sigh (to himself, but quite obviously and out loud) as he was clearly frustrated at my 2 year old screaming, whilst I was stressing out trying to calm my son. The other staff member who served us was nice and apologised when we didn't recieve our drinks before or with our meal, instead we got our drinks during (towards the end of) our meal. I personally would not recommend this place.

Don’t eat trio sharing plate. The meat was tastless, only the ribs were good. The pulled pork was like eating paper, the other meat was raw and felt like a rubber so we couldn’t eat it. The amount of the meat was for 3 people, the chips on the side was for 1.

This place should be shut down. Terrible experience. Food was served like we were dogs, the meat was burned yet still served. No quality control, we had to spit out bits of foil that was served with the meat. I would advise to stay away. If this was on any high street it wouldn't survive one day and the council would shut it down right away but I guess anything goes at Chessington World of Adventures.

Went he for sons 6th birthday on Sun 18th. Have to order on phone now, only issue no signal on EE at back of restaurant. No free WiFi either. Took over an 1 for food to come once ordered. Staff were not helpful at all. Eventually when food arrived brisket was so tough you couldn't eat it. Best to avoid and try other places to eat at Chessington.

I’d give less than 1 star if I could! Genuinely the worst food I’ve ever eaten, had a platter between 2 people for £30 - biggest waste of money ever. Pulled pork was salty, ribs were cold, rubbery and tasteless, and the brisket wasn’t even pulled and was simultaneously raw and extremely burnt. Felt like I had a mouth full of charcoal. We got two sides - ‘seasoned’ fries (which were just normal fries covered in paprika AFTER cooking so your mouth felt like the Sahara) and sweet potato fries which were stone cold and extremely perfumey. To top it all off, hardly any cutlery was available - one single fork left in the entire establishment, then wooden knives!! My boyfriend had to use a spoon to hack away at the driest meat known to man. Please, if you’re coming to chessington, do yourself a favour and bring a picnic. I never do this but I’m seriously wondering whether to ask for a refund!!!!! 😡😡😡😡

Food was yummy and lovely atmosphere. Kind staff too. All polite and full of smiles. There was a queue to get in but they were helpful and gave us the type of sits we wanted

Typically overpriced theme park food. The mac-n-cheese was just all sorts of wrong, not sure how they had managed it, but it tasted like powdered cheese and far too much of it! The meat was dry and cold, and the chips very powdery. Not sure there are many better options available though. My recommendation, bring your own food! The picture is everything we couldn't eat, which was a lot of it

Perfect ribs, tasty and nicely smoked pulled pork however brisket was on the dry side. But over all not bad at all for a theme park. School dinners style service doesn't really match the food.

Absolutely vile, avoid at all costs! Meats was dry and burned. Chips had black bits all over them, told server I asked for unseasoned fries for the kids, got told they were not seasoned and that was bits off the fryer! Was sticky on the tables and toilets were poorly maintained and stinking. Save your money!

Queue for very long time for food, only 3 staff to help prepare the food , only 1 cashier . There are lots of tables but the queue for food is always long, people not allowed to get in restaurant even there are empty tables, it’s just loads of ppl were jam at food counter ! On 2nd day, the restaurant was not open without any notice , not mentioned or updated on the app

The driest, toughest brisket you'll ever eat. In Texas this would be considered a crime. If by some miracle anyone is reading this, it would be so easy to fix too: * Lower the temp in the smoker * Turn the warmers down to 80C * Keep it wrapped * Stop basting it in gravy - it tasted like a bad sunday roast I don't expect Franklin's from a theme park, but they're literally ruining 50 briskets a day.

We shared The Smokehouse Platter, this came with brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Although the pork was probably the best thing on the plate, in the sense of it was very juicy, unfortunately nothing had any flavour. And the ribs and brisket had been over smoked and was dry. It's a sorry state of affairs when the thing with the most flavour is the seasoned fries. The potatoes salad consisted of one potato and the rest was just peppers, onions and some watery mayo. All food was cold and sadly they have gone from bottles of sauce to the small Heinz packets. The staff, what can you expect from a group of teens who clearly don't want to be there. Not one smile or ounce of customer service form anyone. Tables although had no trays on were left dirty with bits of food on them. All in all I would say go to the drop and chicken or one of the local pubs for a tastier and less expensive meal.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!!! 20 minutes queue, one person serving while the others curled up in a corner talking and giving dirty looks to all the customers. When we finally got to the front, everything had finished besides for the meat and kids chips!! When we asked how long until more food was coming out, they said it wasn’t worth the wait. Finally when we got to the till, we realised how overpriced all the food was, we just paid and sat down. We ended up eating only the side salad as everything else was barely edible. Cannot express what a terrible experience this was, if you’re still unsure about eating here, I beg and plead with you not to.

Dried Brisket & jalapeño hotdogs. Disorganised and uninterested staff. Chips were good though.

DO NOT EAT HERE , seriously save your money. Looked very tasty but once you got a mouth full of dry unseasoned ribs you will be regretting it ! Spent a small fortune here for half a rack of ribs , a baked potato and coleslaw. Honesty darling just stick to the premade version of coleslaw if your homemade one is not salted and made with knock off mayo. Also you can't just buy a jacket potato with cheese you have to get the bbq beans as well. Which weren't great again no flavour. I can't fault the staff for customer service or portion size. And they probably aren't even incharge of how its seasoned but whoever is please reevaluate what your serving. I also had a bit of my aunties pork and beef and same issue no seasoning and dry. I had not eaten breakfast and it was about 12pm and I couldn't even force myself to eat it all, just until I wasn't starved.

Really poor. Went on a Friday lunch time. The place wasn't busy but they had apparently run out of all ribs. They said it would be another hour. I opted instead for a beef brisket brioche which was dry throughout and pretty flavourless. Was then told they had run out of tomato ketchup 🤣 and wouldnt be getting any in for a while. I asked for a side of BBQ beans, and after some confusion they tried to pour them onto a grilled basket, with holes in. When I went to get a drink (a whole 3 minutes after being told there were no ribs ), to my surprise everyone was walking around with hot fresh ribs of all sizes. I asked the guy what was going on and he asked if I wanted to buy the ribs now 🤣🤣. Utter chaos, avoid if you can. The music in there was good though. Gets a 1 star for that.
