😠 Worst hospital in the world! I came here today to get my hand checked after a fall and I signed in at the front desk. The faces and attitude of the two members of staff were embarrassing and was obvious they didn’t want to be there. I asked how long the wait would be roughly... 1:30-2 hours, that’s... People often mention hospital, waiting, hours, emergency, staff, people, time, pain, doctor, told,

Worst hospital in the world! I came here today to get my hand checked after a fall and I signed in at the front desk. The faces and attitude of the two members of staff were embarrassing and was obvious they didn’t want to be there. I asked how long the wait would be roughly... 1:30-2 hours, that’s fine thank you very much and I sat down! Three hours go by and I ask them again, very politely how long roughly. I was told there was one person in front of me and I’m next. Then after 4 hours I ask them if I am able to be seen too and they explain that they shouted and “looked all over the place for me” not the case as I was stood by the door for the whole time. Therefore, I had to re sign in and wait another half an hour! The “security guard” on the front door was as helpful as a chocolate teapot and couldn’t lift a smile on his face if he tried. The general staff attitude was particularly poor and lacked customer service or even the ability to say hello. The seating wasn’t sufficient for the amount of people in and outside the reception.

I don’t think I need to say more than this. I was bleeding on the floor for four hours with a finger that was sliced open, was starved and denied water for 24 hours, not even in a hospital bed, to get told I had to come back in four days for surgery. 4 DAYS I had to be home with an open finger that was bleeding heavily, my artery and nerves severed. Absolutely disgraceful. It caused me so much trauma and I am so frightened to ever have an accident in London again.

The Nurses that triage you do Not care about the condition you came with to A&E and without properly listening to you send you to the urgent treatment centre. I have experience that many many times and had to be referred back to A&E from the urgent treatment centre. This system is outrageous and dangerous for people that come in with a lot of pain and alarming conditions. I strongly feel that this process needs improving. The first contact with the nurses need a lot of improvement as they decide on where your treatment starts with very bad consequences. This is a personal experience that I am relating this treatment too. I hope my voice is taken seriously as it involves people lives.

In all honesty, the service is horrible. My boyfriend had to attend to the A&E with a potential fracture, he was in so much pain he could only sleep 1 hour during the night. After they've done an x Ray they told him hell get the results within a week. A WEEK! Can you phantom having a fracture for a week untreated? Not a single respected European hospital should do that. To make matters worse they didn't give him crutches, just sent him from office to office so he could find them himself. Awful just awful.

I'm surprised how unhelpful my last visit there was. I had an injury, so I had to go to the hospital. I told them both my ankle and my knee were hurting. At the reception I was told by a nurse I'd need to get an X-ray, but only of the ankle, because based on what she said they don't do X-rays of knees. After taking the X-ray, the nurse told me I'd need to go to a different building, because, based on what she said, it'd be ages to get my injury examined, so I had to go there using crutches. After I came there I had to wait a bit more than 3 hours to be told there was no fracture. No one actually took a look at the injury itself. The doctor told me she got a referral to the Fracture Clinic for me to take a look at it and advised to take Paracetamol. After 2 days they called me to say: "There is no fracture, you can walk without crutches. And since there is no fracture, we won't examine your injury". After I told the lady who called me that both my ankle and my knee still hurt, she suggested to either go to them in 3 weeks minimum or go the my GP. 2 stars only for the X-ray and the politeness with which I was left without any real help.

Busy, as you can expect. Dirty room. Dirty waiting rooms. Patient areas were busy, filthy and looked untidy. Luckily the staff were good. Medical care was good and fast. So we cannot grumble or moan at all about that. Just a shame that the place was dirty. At least the nurses and Dr's in the nhs are caring and the best in the world.

Good staff, insanely long wait, over 8 hours. The NHS system is absolutely crippled and miserable, the wait times are dangerous. Blame the Tory government for this.

Had been to royal London kids a&e.. the nurse checked my 2 years old , she was supposed to monitor him in a cubicle, some doctor interrupts and tells me to go to urgent treatment centre and she tells me , he wil be treated quickly , when I arrive to the treatment centre .. the waiting time is 5 hours ! 5 hours to see a child who is unwell ! It’s ridiculous!!!! Don’t like how the NHS works! We need more doctors and more attention and care!!!!

Not happy 4 days ago at Children A&E when you are going with a 4 years old child, you wait for 5 hours, you realize that No doctor is going to call you and the nurse (Louise) says that was a mistake with the names. After that, a doctor came, apologized for the mistake and saw my son and told nurses to give us the antibiotic. One of the nurses told us to wait in the reception and half an hour Later We asked if We are going to receive the antibiotic for today ( The time was 23:45h) and they Said they forgot about us. Poor staff!!!

I never write bad reviews for places as I prefer to assume good of people and maybe it was an off day for them, HOWEVER, I experienced the WORST receptionist I’ve EVER come across in the children’s A&E; a middle aged Jamaican woman with an attitude fit for someone who hates mankind. Simply, we rang on arrival and she could see us ringing the door for access and she decided to ignore it until we had to keep knocking on the door and some person in the waiting room decided to open for us. Sucking her teeth and honestly I’m shocked that she still has a job. I think she’d be better suited as a prison warden… if you have an emergency with your child STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOSPITAL and go to UCLH as it’s worth the extra 15 mins in travel time. I wish that was the only issue, there was a racist Hindu male nurse who instead of putting his dogma and prejudices aside to fulfil his job role he decides to completely disregard calling my sons name and marked him down as absent when we were RIGHT NEXT TO where they’d come out to call the next patient to be seen. As for the English female nurses they were professional as was an Indian lady in x ray and somali lady in the a&e. The woman at reception and male nurse ruined the experience to be honest. If it was for myself I’d genuinely not be that fussed but because it was my 10 month old son who could’ve died I’m disappointed in how this has unfolded and I hope management see this and I’ll be calling up on Monday to follow up with a complaint.

i can’t fault this hospital for the recent treatment i received. i was taken by ambulance crew to Royal London Hospital for a suspected slipped disc. i was avoiding going calling 999 on a weekend because i know how stretched our NHS is, so i did everything i can to self-medicate to alleviate the pain. however, after two days of excruciating pain, i decided to call 111 and they in turn called 999 since no primary care was available in my area. RLH took good care of me, from porters to nurses to physio to doctors - everyone was so professional! i can see how overly stretched they are but they still managed to look after people with care. i really hope we don’t give up on our NHS. i hardly use the service myself but i’m more than happy to keep paying my taxes knowing that free healthcare service is available to everyone in need!

I presented with ear fullness and muffled hearing after a GP send me here to remove a stuck object they thought I had. Waited for a while, as you do, got seen and checked and told I'll receive a letter in a week to then book with an ENT specialist as they can't remove the object. Not sure how long ahead the ENT appointment would have been, assume weeks. Thankfully, I went to an audiologist privately and for an almost symbolic amount of money I was able to see myself the horror of an ear infection that was covering my ear. I don't know how three people looked into my ear and didn't see this.

I know lots of people complained about the A&E and NHS in general but I've had a pleasant visit recently where the wait time was decent and staff was doing their absolutely best to get things moving. I thought they were mostly professional and friendly.

American tourist with probably a kidney stone, in terrific pain. Well it’s the NHS so nothing is seamless, but my check went pretty smoothly. One thing that was really problematic. When I filled out the intake form I did not include the postal code of my hotel. I mean, really? (Not enough room on the paper form and why are using paper forms?) Anyway easy enough to get a callback to the desk and add it to my data. Here’s why this place loses a star. I am then sent to the Urgent Care department, and my intake person in A&E specifically said to just wait for them to call me. Waited a half hour, then finally went up to the UC desk where they said, oh no, you have to check in, how will we know you are here? And she said on top of that I wasn’t even in the queue because they didn’t have the postal code for my hotel. So, kidney stone, really cool level of pain and these failures to communicate probably set back my diagnosis by 30 minutes, which is not good.

The worst service ever! People in pain, sick, traumatised. Why would they care? Pathetic… The indian receptionist screaming on me, I don’t understand/hear her, as in the mean time she asking me the questions, taking to the colleague, getting upset even she can’t hear my answers herself… So rude! I was dragged with traumatised leg from one sector to another, waiting for nothing. Very very bad service.

As tourists in the emergency department, the attention they offered us was bad. They took a long time to assist us (even though the problem was from the heart) and were not empathetic. The treatment the Londoners received was the same, very bad. Also, the boxes were not clean and the halls were disgusting.

Unacceptable. My partner was assaulted on the tube at Whitechapel, so we went immediately to the accident and emergency, thinking how lucky we were to be so close. My partner was covered in blood and bleeding heavily when we arrived. We waited 20 minutes for a nurse. The nurse simply shone his iphone light on my partner’s face told him we were in the wrong place as this is not an emergency. He sent us to Urgent Treatment, where were told the wait was between 2 and 3 hours. No one ever offered to clean up some of the blood and actually inspect if the nose was broken or stitches were needed. No one offered anything for the shock. No one offered to take blood pressure. No one offered anything for the pain. No one so much as offered water. We came home to fix my partner up ourselves with the aid of some youtube videos. The swelling meant that his face kept bleeding all night long. I still find it impossible to reconcile my idea of healthcare professions with what I witnessed, which was healthcare "professionals" ignoring and denying treatment to a seriously injured person who was clearly in shock and pain from a brutal attack, covered in blood, and still bleeding. Shame on you.

I was transferred from another hospital to be seen by a dermatologist, but they made me wait for over 3hrs to be seen by a nurse, for the third time that day. I was struggling with horrible sunburn blisters and they didn’t even give anything to make sure it doesn’t get infected-I came to the hospital straight away after my flight back& it was all over my chest 7x7cms, so quite big when there’s about 10 big ones and rest small. Not only is the staff rude, they don’t care about patients- a man was waiting for hours with blood bleeding out of his leg non stop, they didn’t even come to clean it up after. Where’s the good hygiene In this hospital?

A&E Whitechapel all staffs are very rude, the male doctors are only interested in female doctors. They were chatting about Xmas party for about 20 minutes and refuse to answer me . My daughter was in terrible pain and I was asking the doctor for a pain killer. The doctor said he is busy and kept chatting to a female doctor and female nurse about Xmas party.and kept my daughter waiting for more than 2 hours before he gave her a paracetamol.and these doctors and nurses are demanding for more pay .one of the world's worse hospital. Will never go there again . Average waiting time to see a rubbish doctor is 5 hours .

This Hospital is a supreme example of absolute excellence. From the Dental school to Accident Emergency to surgery inpatients, I have had many dealings with this hospital. I can not fault it. My son accidentally amputated his right index finger. It was a complex “ring avulsion” type injury The micro surgeons performed 8 hour surgery on his hand, and today, 18 months later, to can hardly tell . Thank you guys. You are incredible. Long live our awesome NHS!

Horrible place. I don't recommend this. Go to another A&E Dpt if you have an emergency. Trying to rule out deep venous thrombosis. Waiting for 5 h and still haven't received any care, had a cannula put in and left in the waiting room with people coughing in my face. I spoke to someone to ask how long would it take and I've been advised that there won't be doctors until 8 am. Then why are you having me waiting from 3.30 AM? What's the point of an emergency department that takes 5 h to see you. If you live around these area and have the back luck of having an emergency, go to Guys and St Thomas's.

Lots of people give them good compliments. I have respect to them but now I am at the hospital with my 4 years old girl who referred from Gp at todays morning. I am waiting with my pregnant wife and I am waiting from 11 am and now is 3.27pm still no body calling her name. It seams so disorganised and small waiting room with over crowded people. It’s my first time in emergency in royal London hospital and I think This is the worse service ever I have received in Uk….

Misdiagnosis in Royal london hospital Urgent treatment center Doesn't take patients health seriously and doesn't give pain killers when asked for it Nurses are so rude and just become so bad Urgent treatment center in general isn't for emergency it's basically nurses running the place which has no qualifications to know what's urgent and what's not Been to a&e kids royal london hospital, my son who's 21 months been expected by Surgical team Seen nurses they examined him didn't even bother doing his checks for urine or stool left numbing cream on for 5 hrs and such rude nurses kept saying differng waiting times I never had a bad experience with them but it was dreadful Gastro consultants keep going back and forth in vicious circle doesn't take patient seriously and doesn't give a valid reason to why an appointment has been cancelled they don't know apparently the answer to a complex patients needs

My visit to the emergency room was nothing but positive. I came in with severe back pain. Patient service is top notch. Everywhere is clean, the toilet is also clean. The organization of patient reception is excellent. Friendly and welcoming staff. The visit, from the moment of arrival to the doctor's appointment, took about 2.5 hours. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the emergency department for their work.

After a fall over a curb, I drove with my wife to the Royal London Hospital at 09:45 the next morning to have her examined. The registration with the German health insurance card was completely problem-free. After only a few minutes of waiting time, we were called in to a doctor to whom we explained everything. A short time later we had to change the building and took a seat in the waiting area. After about 15 minutes of waiting, my wife was called in to check her general health. After another 15 minutes of waiting, my wife was called for an X-ray. Shortly after the X-ray, my wife was called to a very nice doctor who explained to us, based on the X-ray images, that her right arm was broken and that we should return to Germany as soon as possible for further treatment. My wife was given a sling to immobilize her arm. Unfortunately, the doctor could not send me a copy of the x-rays by mail. Therefore, I was allowed to photograph the pictures from the computer monitor. At the reception desk, we then received another printout with the diagnosis. In total, the visit took about 2:15 hours. Except for the X-ray, I was allowed to accompany my wife to all the doctors. We felt very well taken care of and were treated in an extremely friendly manner. I would like to see such fast and effective work for German emergency rooms in hospitals, where you sometimes have to wait up to six hours to even see a doctor.

As a visitor accompanying my wife in extreme pain attending A+E department, I was spoke to in such a rude and unprofessional manner at reception when I asked for a facemask to sit with my wife and told no visitors, even tho she could barely walk. I would have put one star if it wasn't for the friendly and professional clinical team who understood my wife was in alot of pain and allowed me to accompany her and helped her feel better. It's not the clinical teams fault the reception was rude and unprofessional, couldn't fault the Nurses and Doctors they were excellent.

I had an emergency on Thursday night around 7:20 pm and being there with my girlfriend I couldn't find anyone to turn to and I decided to ask the security guys who we could approach to whom the security spoke very ugly and bored as if I was there for pleasure, my opinion is that we have to take action with these cunning guys because I don't think it's the first case.

The neglect with patients is so visible. I have been in the emergency couple of times and they never did nothing. Today, I feel I will die at home. But I still prefer this than go there again. Once I went there crying with a massive pain on my kidneys and send me home and ask to call to GP as we all know GP has restrictions about time and the emergency should working during this time to help. I don’t know about everyone but I pay my taxes also I am a person who only ask for help if is extremely necessary.
