The lady on the phone is extremely rude! The waiting time is forever and the reception staff are very cold. However, the nursing staff is kind and understanding. I dread to go to the hospitals now, don't wish to be faced by rude people at the reception to add to my already physical ailment. I understand that's their job and they deal with everyday, but being kind and sympathetic doesn't cost a thing. Please don't do this to patients, they are already in agony. Everyone knows the staff is underpaid but that's something to take with higher authorities and state and not on the patients. Only the nursing staff saved the ratings, else I would have reviewed the urgent care centre in minus. Extremely disappointed!

I went here with a minor injury that needed medical attention and a tetanus injection. It was easy to find following the signs from London bridge station., Staff were professional and polite, from the reception and checking in which was easy and the security staff showing people the way at the entrance. I was treated quickly (less than half hour) by an ENP (emergency nurse practitioner) who gave me local anaesthetic, dealt with my wound, a tetanus shot and advice and what to look out for. The whole visit was over in an hour. Very professional service and high standard of care,

It was a little busy. I had to see a Dr who was lovely, caring and very kind. I think I waited 2 hours but I was at the hospital anyway for something else. If you can go and see your gp, I know it's not easy but the hospital staff are really busy.

It was my first visit to the Urgent Care Centre at Guy’s Hospital this morning. All members of staff I encountered were polite & professional. The triage nurse ( I think his name was Sam ) was kind, knowledgeable & efficient. The doctor I saw was again professional, through & caring. I was in the centre for around an hour & fifteen minutes which was really fast. On leaving the centre I had to visit the pharmacy, the doctor took me out to show me where to go. The pharmacy staff member again was wonderful & you get the added bonus of a small museum/ historical display about Guy’s hospital to look at while waiting for your medication. Thank goodness for our wonderful NHS

I was reffered to do an endocrine test after having GD and went today at first hour in the morning to the Southwark wing of St Thomas Hospital. It was my best experience ever here in UK from the ones being in hospitals. Feeling like in a private clinique. All the staff from the Endocrine and diabetes team were extra polite and proved lots of care. The lady that took blood sample were so lovely and sweet explaining with patience all the procedure. The hospital itself is so clean, I think this is the first time I ve seen since I came s in England such a clean hospital. I would definitely come back again or I will ask to be referred here. Also I was provided with a lunch pack as I need to fast and wait there almost half day. I will leave here a massive thank you!

This is a walk-in clinic for minor injuries. So glad I found it! I had a small accident and needed to check if my thumb was broken - not an emergency but also not something that could wait any longer. I actually spent a couple of painful days unsuccessfully trying to get through to my GP before I found this service. In only 40 minutes my case was assessed, I had an x ray taken, guidance on the treatment and a follow up appointment scheduled. The doctor who took care of me was particularly kind. Thank you

Best experience! I visited the urgent care at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon, with a sprained ankle, which turned out to be a broken foot. Dr Margaret checked my foot, sent to x-ray, talked me through the results and next steps and helped fit the fracture boot. I was out in under 90min. Huge thank you to Dr Margaret, the friendly staff at the Reception and Dr Richard at X-rays. Professional team and just nice and helpful people.

So down in London for a few days with my daughter and partner enjoying the attractions. Suddenly developed a health issue. Needed medical attention. Not an emergency but a condition that if not treated can get worse very quickly. Great idea keeping these two as separate care services. Reduces pressure on A & E. My daughter sourced Guy's Urgent Care Unit, called them and asked if they would treat me. Yes! We jumped on the train which dropped us right at the unit. Inside and asked to register by a lovely person at reception. This I did and waited my turn. A short wait in a calm organised environment. Then I was triaged and asked to wait for the doctor. Dr Amanda Rea treated me. What an amazing doctor! Upbeat. Professional. Reassuring. Friendly. Caring. Patient-centred. Sense of humour. Thorough. I was blown away by her approach which is the epitome of great health care. I was then prescribed meds, directed to the pharmacy, submitted my prescription and had it filled within 10 minutes. From start to finish my experience of this health care was exemplary. Thank you to all at St Guy's Urgent Care Unit and Pharmacy and pleased to say, symptoms already alleviated. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👏👏👏👏👏

Had an ear infection that suddenly got worse last Saturday. Went to the urgent care and I was in and out within an hour. The GP was helpful and thorough. I will definitely be coming back here if I ever need urgent care again!

I was so incredibly impressed with the Urgent Care Centre. I arrived about 8.15 and was treated and out the door before 9.30. The treatment was excellent and very thorough. The staff were really friendly too. I hope to never be back as that would mean I’m unwell but if I ever need medical assistance this will be the place I always turn to.

Very nice service from the doctor and the pharmacists. Several prescriptions are out of stock, caused us some troubles but they were helpful and helped us patiently. :))

The white middle age woman at the A&E reception is extremely rude. I overheard that she was keep calling the patient “complicated things” just because the patient does not speak fluent English.

This has to be the worst hospital for booking an appointment. They never answer the telephone, take about a month to reply to an email and the que to book an appointment in person is ridiculous. When you actually get an appointment the dentist’s are great!

Thought I broke my finger after a night of drunken adventures and I was sorted here in less than 2 hours. Doctor was a top notch guy, reception and x-ray techs were efficient. As an American this was my first time in a UK hospital and it was an extremely pleasant experience all things considered. Would definitely get drunk and come back here again.

The people at this hospital have been so incredibly kind, I’ve been there a few times the past week and genuinely I could not have had a better experience. From reception, to nurses, to doctors. They were all incredible. The hospital is very bright and welcoming and it’s very easy to find the right location due to the colour system. The dermatology department specifically is amazing, very quick and efficient and the doctor and nurse I had for a quick surgical procedure were amazing. Very kind, explained to me everything he was doing. To the doc and nurse from room 18 (dermatology outpatient, blue zone) on the 2/2/2024, around 5pm - you guys were amazing! 😁 - from the psych student ;)

Took a friend here on a Sunday morning who I was very concerned about, given the person's state of mental health, was sent away and told to take the individual to GP or A&E. Absolutely disgusting treatment. Receptionist who works here is a jobsworth, who says it doesn't say XYZ condition on our website, and on that basis refused access to our of hours GP available at this facility to my friend. Avoid at all costs. Typical incompetent NHS.

Fantastic experience. I was in need of urgent treatment but after 2 days of trying my awful GP surgery, I was unable to get an emergency appointment. At Guys I was triaged and examined by a nurse within a short time, and seen by a doctor within an hour. Wonderful service, if only the whole NHS could be as good.

Treated for a cut, wound, washed, injected, stitched, dressed. Received Tetanus shot, prescribed antibiotics by an absolutely amazing Senior Nurse (Margaret). Many thanks

Extraordinary place! I came in with earache and was in and out within 45 minutes. Top notch service! This all at the time when it takes 10 days to see your own GP. Please keep it up!

Wonderful experience. I was in and out in 45 minutes with a bag of meds to help with my problem. Of course the wait time won’t always be that short, but they were so quick and efficient here and the doctor I saw was great. Reception was also very friendly and helpful.

The nurse I saw couldn't have been more kind or given me more time - I wish I had taken her name so I could thank her. They clearly know how to get people through quickly and efficiently - but still took the time to make sure my ear problem was addressed with all options considered. I really appreciated it and felt very reassured. Long live the NHS and its wonderful staff!

Thank you so much to the doctor who looked after me on the 14th of March 2022 @ guys hospital. Thank you again for being the dedicated, thoughtful, and compassionate doctor that you are! You always go above and beyond and work tirelessly towards a healthy outcome. You were by your own that day but you did an amazing job.

Excellent GP this morning! She was very friendly, thoughful and professionally accommodating. Although they couldn't provide the tests I look for, the docotor still provided extremely helpful consultation. Feeling like being in a private clinic! Thank you NHS and the Guy's hospital!

Very Bad experience in trying to get checked in AnE department, experienced unprofessional staff apprach who did not accept patients 2 hours prior to closing time while waiting area was pretty much empty so staff receptionist just decided to close early. Offering appointments system in a walking clinic!!!! Pure bureaucracy not respecting opening times or walk in system.. Not eager to work hard... Paying taxes for poor service NHS need to reform its system big time.

I seem to be a regular here! Last time for a finger infection that wasn't healing, this time for a broken ankle. ALL the staff, the receptionist, orthopaedic specialist, nurse, radiologist and pharmacist are exceptionally pleasant, caring and beyond helpful. This visit took around 3hrs including x-ray, blood tests, treatment and prescription. During this time they had a serious incident patient to attend to which I immediately expected to take priority and lengthen my visit. However, the lady dealing with me apologised many times for the delay. The care here is second to none and I have nothing but the utmost respect for these people, but sadly there were some visitors who were downright rude, unappreciative and borderline aggressive towards the staff for various reasons, all of which were way beyond the staff's control. If you do attend, please be patient and at least treat the staff respectfully.

I’m amazed as a business traveler visitor that they provided medical care for me (Wound dressing replacement) without asking for insurance or other documents.. the waiting time (8-9:30am) 30-50 mins… the nurse did a great job cleaning around the Wound and changing dressing and she gave instructions on the best way to take a shower… helpful staff 🌺

Been in Urgent care centre most of the day, due to poor hand over from QE. But Charlotte from UCC was amazing, she went out her way to ensure we received quality of care and that we were not pushed from department to department with my elderly sick mum, her kindness and compassion made a difficult day a little easier, she is amazing. Credit to the Nhs Laura from plastics came to treat my mum in UCC rather then in the hot clinic were people were trying to move my mum, who needed be in a bed. And a bed didn't fit in the clinic, Her communicate was outstanding, ensuring we had a plan, for my mum treatment that was suitable for all her needs as a high risk patient. She listened and took all her needs into consideration, was open minding and adapted her approach to my deaf mum. Outstanding treatment.

I visited the Urgent Care Unit with a suspected sprained ankle and the team were excellent. I was seen quickly, an x-ray showed a break and I then had my bloods taken, provided with the relevant drugs and given a moon boot and advice. Every individual was professional, courteous and reassuring. I couldn't have asked for more.

👍👍 With all hospitals & walk-in centres, you have to be patient and prepared to wait, no one gets preference over another patient unless it’s life threatening. There’s no point in arguing with the receptionist because she’s only a receptionist, wait your turn or go home.

😠 Absolutely abysmal service. Went in with my 10year old who had a dislocated finger. No empathy whatsoever. The story kept on changing, one minute we could have an x-ray and wait till 10pm.
