Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. We booked the hotel by booking without previous personal recommendation. The staying on the hotel was lovely! The staff were friendly and helpful and room service done as requested. Good choice for people who want enjoying Shoreditch vibes.

Generally a pleasant stay with comfortable rooms, a buzzing lobby area and decent food / room service. During my last stay this week, there was a strong musty smell on my floor (3rd) and in the room which was really off putting. The hotel disappointingly doesn’t have a gym but they offered a yoga mat to use in the room. Breakfast is OK but the coffee needs to be improved.

I came stay at The Hoxton, Shoreditch for 3 nights for a business trip. The rooms are very comfortable to stay; some of their toiletries they provide are good quality. If you happen to forget any toiletries such as toothpaste, the friendly staff are able to provide dental kits during your stay at the hotel. In the second night of my stay, the keycard reader on my room door had ran out of battery. I had to get reception get me back into my which they weren't able to fully fix my card reader until the next morning and took around 30 minutes to get back into my room. There was no fault from the staff however, they were super nice and understanding of the situation; they did everything in their control to resolve the situation as quick as possible. As a way to compensate, the hotel receptionist offered me free breakfast for the next morning. This is where the main problem is of the hotel. When I had arrived at the restaurant part of the hotel to have breakfast I was seated with the chance to order a drink and some time to order my food. I waited for a while to order my food, I had to go to the waitress to tell them that I was ready to order; the waitress told me turn return to my table and she would be right back with me. This situation happened twice where I had to go up and request them to take my order in which I was told to return back to my table. In the end for the whole 1 hour I was there, I had only received a drink and no one to take the order for my food. Throughout the rest of my stay, I avoided the breakfast area fully. What a shame. Overall, the night stays at The Hoxton is super cosy and friendly reception staff to help you. However, the breakfast food area is embarrassing which I would recommend people to find local cafe in the area to dine at for breakfast.

This is essentially a dog hotel that lets humans stay. On check-in my pup was given a pup-cake, and a welcome pack was delivered to the room with a bed, bowls and poo-bags. The room was really nicely decorated, however I have to say that the TV didn't work and the human bed was a little bit too small for 2 adults to be comfy. The service was excellent throughout.

I’d been here for drinks on many occasions but never stayed, but did so for one night this week. The ‘Cosy Double’ is their standard room and, although it was very nicely appointed, it was pretty small. It did, however, have a rainfall shower, blackout curtains, soundproof windows, and free tea, coffee, milk and water. A downside was that I had an internal room on the first floor, so the view was pretty ugly. Reception staff were all really friendly and helpful, and I was able to buy from them a reasonably priced half bottle of wine to take to my room after the bar had closed. Overall an excellent experience, which I will do again.

Birthday stay for 1 night .. a Christmas gift ! All staff friendly and helpful and the vibe was relaxed - we loved the feel of the hotel. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and again very chilled relaxed feeling with staff who were genuinely interested in us. Room was clean and although stated as " cosy " it was plenty big enough with a very comfy bed and a little birthday treat waiting for me! Breakfast was superb! Would highly recommend and look forward to going back hopefully soon. Great Central location!

Stayed for a business trip and enjoyed my stay. The lobby was filled with people working on their laptops when I entered. The front desk staff were courteous and friendly. I had a standard room and it was quite small with no closet space or dressers. I like to fully unpack so this was one drawback of my stay. However, overall the room was clean and nicely decorated. When I entered the room music was playing which startled me, but was a nice touch. Great location, close to public transportation.

I had an absolutely amazing time here for my friend’s birthday, the drinks, food and breakfast at the restaurant were delicious, the room was beautiful and clean with a lovely shower, and the hotel has a really attractive, contemporary style. The bed was so comfortable and soft, I slept so well. It’s close to most restaurants and bars in Shoreditch, so it’s also a convenient location. A special mention goes to Fabian, Hannah, Tawanda and Jake for their exceptional service at the restaurant! They were all so attentive, friendly and professional. Service was also prompt and my friends and I all felt really well taken care of by the staff.

Location worked for us. Had work Christmas Party in one of the function rooms with a sit down meal with sharing plates on each table. The sharing platter food was absolutely delicious, with plenty for everyone. Only slight niggle was that the traditional Christmas meal platters arrived in intervals, so ate delicious turkey and pigs in blankets, then a while later, the vegetables arrived. But as said, all were absolutely delicious, exceeding any sit down one plate Christmas dinner I've ever had at Christmas party. We were about 60 people. The room size was perfect - cosy and buzzing with chatter. We had our own reception room with a bar outside. We elected to also provide mocktails, which were excellent. You can attach your iPhone to a lead for your own play list in the bar and eating areas and could dance in the bar area.

Very pleasant experience, located near underground station that can get you to all areas! They also have a restaurant that is opened until midnight. The staff were very nice and accommodating, special thanks to Iona who was very kind during my stay. The room is a bit small but with a comfortable bed and sheets! They do have a popular bar that is located on the 7th floor with an amazing view.

Everything unchanged, pleasant check-in with the same kind and smiling staff, clean and cozy! Happy to return to this hotel, but nothing has changed in terms of the restaurant downstairs, which I did not have the best experience, but in terms of the new restaurant with the wonderful view, it is a total contrast! Thank you for Ioana's help and kindness throughout my stay.

Stayed here for a company event. Amazing! Staff was nice. Food was super delicious. Bed was super comfy. Shower is great as well. The only thing that I didn’t like was that I wasn’t able to open the window (due to safety reasons) but I really would’ve loved some more fresh air. The radio in the room was great! Thank you for the stay! Definitely recommend!

Pretty good hotel in a good location. I had a cosy room, which was a little smaller than I expected but it had a very comfy bed and the whole room decorated nicely. I had breakfast in the morning at the grill which was good for the price, just a shame the coffee wasn't included in the price, as was implied when I ordered.

Nice, attractive hotel with enthusiastic and friendly staff. From housekeeping to bar/restaurant and reception: always cheerful and helpful. What could be better? I found it quite warm in the hotel and the rooms were a bit noisy. Nevertheless, the hotel is highly recommended if you want to discover East London, but also want to be fairly centrally located. You can be in Covent Garden in half an hour.

Booked a room for my parents who were visiting me. Although it is a younger crowd they still felt really comfortable and enjoyed their time. The check in however could have gone smoother as they seemed short staffed and they could have been a tad friendlier

Room was quite nice and check in was fine. Tried to get some food that evening but it took 2 hours to arrive. Breakfast took ages too and staff kept mixing up everyone's food by leaving it at the wrong tables. Rooms are a little squished in and took me a minute to find mine when I arrived.

I stayed at the Hoxton Shoreditch twice on each end of a longer business trip through Europe and UK.Both times I was greeted by an enthusiastic staff who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The location is perfect! Most of my dinner reservations and shops I wanted to visit were in walking distance. Shoreditch is also home to some of the best bars in the world. I want to give an extra special Anjelica Aslanidou at the front desk. I left some important items in the safe at my hotel in Berlin and Anjelica went above and beyond to ensure it made it back to me in the US. Additionally she was an absolute joy during my stay, always greeting me with a smile and recommendation! I will absolutely return because of Anjelica.

I don’t like travelling to London, but this was a lovely treat on my last work trip. Not the cheapest hotel but such an amazing upgrade from my last trip at the Premier Inn! I loooved the bar area, there’s a real fire and the vibe is cosy and it feels very safe even as a lone female traveller. The staff were very helpful and even came to my room to help me with the AC and bring me my replacement yoghurt at breakfast. They were very accommodating with my room requirements and put me on a lower floor with a window. My room was clean and modern, with a comfy bed. A radio was playing Smooth Chill when I arrived which was lovely. The fridge in the room was great since my dietary requirements make breakfast and lunch out challenging. As a haiku: London hidden gem, Cozy fire with care at heart, Smooth chill vibes all round.

I used to go here a lot with friends, just for a casual drinks. But I am very disappointed with my recent visit. First of all, I waited very long time to be served at the bar in a early evening (not a busy time). Despite all the waiting, they charged service charge for my cocktail, which is fine, cause well, it's London. But then I later realised they over charged me on the bill, which I have went back to the bar to talk to the guy. He was obviously not pleased that I questioned the bill as if I am too cheap to afford the drink. However after checking, he realised that he had over charged me by putting the wrong quantity of drink. He said he would refund it to my payment card (again with an attitude). However until now, a week has passed, I still didn't receive my refund. It's not really about money but the altitude of the stuff. I prob will find another place to meet my friends for a casual drink from now on.

I did a two day weekend stay here. It's a great location with lots of nightlife and easy access to transit. The rooms are chic and trendy, albeit small and without much space to hang clothes. The hotel amenities are nice, although it has no gym which seems like an oversight. My chief issue is with the lobby service. The hotel seems to treat the entire lobby as a restaurant. I had gone on a morning walk and came to the lobby to sit by the fireplace and read my book, and I had a coffee and croissant I'd bought elsewhere with me. I was asked by a staff member if I wanted to order food, and when I said no I was told I couldn't sit in the lobby and had to return to my room. Frankly this is a ridiculous policy. I'm already paying to stay in the hotel, I shouldn't need to pay extra just to sit in the lobby. I would understand if I were sitting at the bar or in the restaurant area, but this was in a lounge chair near reception. Or if it was a busy time with a lot of outside guests, but this was at 10am and very few other people were around. I hope the hotel reconsiders this horrible policy because it makes me reluctant to stay here again, even though otherwise I liked the hotel.

Small but functional and stylish rooms, however the pillows are quite thin and of poor quality. Staff are fun and friendly, but it did take 3 requests to get our non-functioning toilet fixed. Also, they ran out of a few items on the breakfast menu (seems to be a recurring theme here on) and the food was good but not great. Good vibes in the bar/lounge during the day - hipster but not achingly so - good place if you’re a fan of MacBooks

Went to the bar Saturday night with 5 friends. The service from the bartenders was shocking. 4 of us went to the bar at different times and all of us had rude disgusting service from the two bartenders behind the bar. (Not the one with the shaved head). The other two appeared to not know what they were doing. And were so rude it was appalling. Three of my friends on separate occasions came back from the bar shaking because they had never been spoken to the way they had been before. Complained to the manager on two occasions and his response, although apologetic, didn’t even offer us a complimentary drink. Shocking shocking behaviour. They need training in what hospitality means.

It’s unusual that my second visit here for brunch was a massive drop from my first visit. I ordered the exact same option (The Full English Breakfast), but it was poorly made, and I left more hungry than I had came in. To say my meal was overcooked is an understatement. The bacon was as hard as tree bark, my portobello mushroom couldn’t be cut with my knife, and the sourdough bread seemed to be made from the same material as the bacon. Like I said, this was my second visit, a stark difference from my first visit. Maybe this was just an off day in the kitchen. The staff were still as pleasant as always. I’d probably return at some point, but not any time soon.

Fine and clean hotel rooms but keep in mind a couple of things I wished I would’ve known before booking. - Their website says that the Grill and Maya close at 11pm (on a Sunday, today) but that is just flat out wrong. Apparently the kitchen closes before 9 even though on the website and this Google Maps page say 11. Also no acknowledgement from the front desk staff about this inconvenience. Also, a heads up that it’s “hard” to find a place to eat in this area after 9 on a Sunday would’ve been great instead of just a shoulder shrug and “it’s Sunday night” from the staff. - The lobby is a full on packed bar/ lounge on Friday and Saturday nights. The noise filters up to at least the third floor. So while you may not have back up food plans you’ll for sure have backup drinking plans (if you’re ok with waiting a good bit for one).

This was a lovely hotel when it opened in 2006 and it still is. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were anxious about getting to St Pancras for our Eurostar in view of Tube train strike, but Staff called a Taxi and we were reassured. Thank you.

What can I say. If you're fortunate to stay here and don't mind the prices, which for london and the other hotels charging similar and a lot less style and cleanliness then this is a bargain and you wont be disappointed. I go here regularly to work from the lobby and sometime to the restaurant and the bar area with friends, and events, and well in all departments, this place is 1st class. Staff are friendly, chilled, available (and this may seem a strange one to add, but you do go to some places and you have to chase them and these guys have it to a tee. They're there for you when you need them and don't push you when you don't need them. You know what I mean when you've gone there for a coffee and an hours work, they're not at you to keep buying a coffee every 10 mins like some place. Honestly this alone deserves the 5 stars) courteous and professional. Menu is all encompassing to all clientele and great choice of wine, beer and spirits and hands-down, one of the best Old Fashiond's I've had in London. But all in all I just find it a place that you can go to chill, relax, work hard, eat well, sometimes bump into the odd musician/celebrity (whatever they are nowadays) and just a generally great experience. Somehow they manage to mix it up and keep up with the vibe of the moment so keep it up please. In a city that is coming very "samey" we need these gems to keep the world interesting.

Lovely staff especially as we checked in, great service from the bar staff also. Rooms quite dark but beds were super comfy so who cares 😉 Location superb, complimentary water and fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch.

Rooms were small but very well presented, clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff happily changed the duvet cover for me as I'm allergic to feathers and were lovely about it. Our only disappointment was at breakfast where there was toast, scrambled egg and pancakes available, everything else was gone. Not great but was sorted out professionally by the duty manager. Overall lovely stay. 😍

Feels cozy. Busy but in a nice way, doesn't feel like an office lounge like some other similar venues. Complementary instant coffee in the rooms is surprisingly excellent. Shout out to Karmen and Claudia at the reception who helped solved a little issue we had. Super friendly and very professional.

Amazing hotel. Love the cosy vibes, the fireplace in winter is such a treat. I've had food here to which is so yummy. I recently visited for drinks before going to the Maya restaurant. We were a little lost but an amazing super friendly staff member on reception Angelica helped us and walked with us and showed us the way - super sweet! Can't recommend The Hoxton enough. :)

Not ideal for a romantic trip. They have a DJ playing til 2am on Friday and Saturday which can still be heard from rooms on the 3rd floor (and probably beyond). Better off booking elsewhere unless you.are the ones dancing in lobby.

I haven’t started my stay. I am waiting to check-in. I flew from the US overnight. Let me first state that I understand that hotels have a certain check-in time. I am also a regular business traveler. I’ve never experienced a hotel be so unwilling to check me in early. I understand if you were at capacity the night before. But I’ve been sitting here watching people check out for 3 hours and there isn’t a single room you can turn around to let me into? I did ask and was told no. Also when I arrived I asked is this where you check-in? Without looking up anything, the woman at reception curtly told me they can’t check me in at the time I arrived. I explained that I understand I’m early. I had already stated that. I was just trying to clarify whether I was at reception because I wanted to check my bags. How does she know I didn’t have a reservation from the night before? That’s done sometimes when you’re going to be arriving very early in the morning. So the whole interaction from the beginning just wasn’t cordial. Lastly as I’ve been sitting in the lobby I saw a mouse which is concerning since it’s within the vicinity of their restaurant. I did have breakfast there this morning but won’t be eating there again in light of the mouse I saw.

I'm a super light sleeper and before booking I was a bit concerned that the lobby of the hotel (and the general area) would be far too noisy for a good night's sleep; however I phoned in advance and was told I could request a room on one of the top two floors to avoid any disturbances. I was apprehensive at first, but I was given a room on the fifth floor. There was a lot of loud, bassy music in the lobby when I came back at 11pm at night, but as I took the lift up and got to my room - I couldn't hear a thing! Why can't more hotels be like this? Each night I had a restful, comfortable night in a modest hotel room (some have described it as small - but it certainly wasn't, for London!) But apart from being asleep, we only spent a few hours in the hotel each day. Really friendly atmosphere and great service - I'd certainly come back again!

Great vibe, seating can be a bit hard to nab but once you get your spot, all is good. Didn’t eat but tried several different drinks, london priced as expected but very tasty. Friendly staff.

Rooms were tight, AC was avg on a hot summer day. Both expected for london. Besides that, super trendy area, super trendy lobby and bar, and a nicely designed room. Shower had great water pressure and warmth.

Had stayed here for one night and the experience is incredible! From the time I entered till I went the staffs are very attentive and gentle. I could feel the positivity in the hotel, the decor was modern and phenomenal. Rooms are spacious, clean and hygiene, bathrooms has good shower and quality essentials. I also enjoyed the food, I don't have any complaints and would recommend to accommodate.

Great location. Rooms are small but laid out and decorated nicely. The lobby is lovely with lots of seating areas and small nooks. However, the food at the restaurant was uninspiring and service was inconsistent even though it wasn’t packed when we ate there.
