👍👍 Love it here! All the trainers are amazing, with very tough but varied classes. I see better results faster than with any other class. You don’t have to be a super fit gym bunny, but after a few weeks/months with these guys you’ll definitely be closer to that! Would 100% recommend to anyone of any f... The service delivered by Reece was amazing, Top lad. We was working just by the gym and he offered me and my team free coffee đź‘Ť.

Positive vibes, inclusive environment & coaches that really care! 3 months in to joining The Foundry I hurt my back and let the team know I'd probably not be around for a while - they insisted I came down to keep moving, and adapted all my workouts to ensure I was continuing to work on mobility / strength exercises to help speed up recovery and get me back on track. The coaches really seem to care about your individual development and strike the right balance between setting achievable goals for your skill level, and pushing you just far enough out of your comfort zone that you continue to progress. Would recommend to anyone looking for community based fitness!

I’ve been with The Foundry for just about a year, and I can confidently say, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Since moving to London two years ago, I’ve been looking for a gym and after trying every one you can think of, I came across The Foundry and my only regret is not signing up sooner. The front of house staff and coaches are amazing! When you walk in you’ll always receive a warm welcome, which makes you feel like you’re more than just a member. The coaches are extremely experienced; my form has improved significantly, and they’ve helped me perform exercises that in the past caused a lot of injury. They know exactly how to explain and guide you to do each one correctly and safely based on your body. During the sessions, they constantly keep you motivated and actually having FUN during your workout, which was a pretty new concept for me. All the coaches are fantastic, but my favourites are definitely Francis, Jason and Mark, I recommend one of their sessions for sure! They will push you to challenge yourself and you’ll realize you’re stronger than you think. I’ve never been this excited about my health and fitness, and a huge part of that is because of the amazing Team and members at The Foundry. <3

Amazing concept of gym with Pt ...choose the 21 days challenge to try them.

I trained here today with a mate on the pretence of doing a strongman training class, however it was really more like a cardio/circuit training class. Granted I’m not super cardio fit, but I’ve trained powerlifting for a decade and I would argue that this is pretty far from strength training. If you are serious about lifting heavy weights with good form, then these classes do not prioritise that. It’s essentially a commercial gym circuit class using strong man equipment - sleds, medicine balls, yokes, logs etc. Sadly - the necessary accoutrements to this kind of training (chalk, tacky, straps etc) are not provided or advised to be brought. We were asked to perform heavy atlas ball lifts while soaked in sweat - practically impossible while they slip through your arms and probably not very safe. I could see this being great for someone who sits in an office 40hrs a week and has never trained with a barbell, but if you want something for actual strength building qualities, rather than a gimmicky tag-line for a body pump class then you’d be better going to a strength specific gym, like commando temple in Deptford.

Francis led a great session, engaging with the class and really pushing us to our limits. He also gave me great advice regarding some issues I was having

Best gym in London if you like pain and suffering! Jokes aside, this is an incredible gym. All the trainers are great and very knowledgable. The head coach, Francis, always pushes me - even when I think I can't push myself further, he knows how many burpees I have left in the tank! I feel he tailors the workouts to what I need on the day and is always spot on with technique. My squats have massively improved since working with him and he's helped me with my nutrition and fitness goals. The atmosphere is also great, everyone is friendly and supportive, from the receptionist when you walk in, to the trainers and other gym-goers. Really feels more than just a gym, more like a tight-knit community. Highly recommend!

Love this gym to bits and can’t recommend it enough! It’ll push you to improve everyday and feel so accomplished afterwards! The coaches are simply incredible, genuinely nice and welcoming. I’m very small and they make sure that all the exercises are adjusted to my height before we start which is incredibly appreciated. I truly have nothing bad to say! If you’re in doubt, join, you won’t regret it x

I’ve been eager to try The Foundry for ages as I wanted to do a functional training class with more of a bespoke focus than you get in a large gym. I took class with Lawrence who is by far the best coach I’ve ever had- fantastic at correcting form and pushing hard on exercises and weights when needed whilst also making the session fun! There’s a real community feel as well and I’d definitely return :)

The personnel is incredibly friendly, professional and they really know their stuff. Ben was my coach in the first session. He really welcomes you. He is patient in explaining and at the same time pushes you to perform. You also see the programming has a clear purpose . Ben is also very motivating. All other clients in the session were super friendly. You do feel in an environment conducive to performing your best with support from everyone there.

The Foundry is a really great place for beginners (like me!) and more advanced to get into strength-training/weight lifting. The trainers are lovely and friendly, and passionate about the workouts, making it fun and accessible. They're really empowering as well, always encouraging and supporting us. I was quite worried about re-injury as well and they've been amazing in listening to me when something doesn't quite feel right, providing stretches to ease pain and watching form to make sure I do the moves correctly. So so glad I decided to give it a go. Have made a lot of progress and enjoyed the process!

Everyone is super helpful and friendly. The strong class is great and accessible for all levels with a warm and encouraging atmosphere. Amy even took time after my first class to go through and help with some technique. I would really recommend trying it out!

Great class for anyone that's not confident with solo gym equipment workout or experienced gymers alike. I love both Sweat and Strong. Friendly staff too

Welcoming, inclusive and fun are just a few of the words to describe The Foundry Old Street. They care about their customers and want them to succeed, there are no barriers as far as they are concerned and will tailor the class or PT around what you can do.

Love the foundry. It’s the best gym I have ever been a member of. The coaches know your name from day one. They take time to get you know you how to push you so you can get the best of every workout.

Addictive! Have been doing the Strong classes - a mix of metcon and F45-style classes. A Pushing, pulling, full body workout all packed into 45mins. The coaches are great. A friendly atmosphere too.

I hesitated a lot whether or not to join the Foundry. Their branding (where the strong belong) and the fact that professional athletes have trained with Foundry coaches initially made me think that I did not qualify to join. Furthermore, joining the Foundry is a significant financial investment when going for the semi private training. Going on site to chat with the staff (Old St gym) was really helpful - they were able to articulate how they bring people from all fitness levels up to speed to excel and surpass their goals. I have really experienced it - during classes, you will always find a few people in incredible shape doing great, but the atmosphere is kind, fostering helping and encouraging each other. I have also personally greatly benefitted from the semi private training where coaches take great care in 1) getting you stretched and warmed up and 2) helping you develop great form to continuously obtain results. The financial investment remains, but there again, the Foundry is happy to help with some instalments etc. Overall, I am glad I joined, and I now resonate with the Foundry's goal to not just be a gym, but also develop a community of like-minded, kind individuals striving for continuous improvement. I will definitely be renewing my membership!
