One of the best 24/7 pubs. They have nice cocktails and food. They play nice music and have an amazing ambience. If you are looking for a place to sit overnight, you should consider this place.

Blah. In the middle of the night when nothing is open for food, it wasn't terrible. But it wasn't good. The chicken milanese tasted like it was microwaved. Had almost no taste. The security guard at the door was ridiculous. I got there, went behind the ropes. He says "approach!" So I did. He then says "gimme your ID!" He acted like a tough guy for no reason. I thought I was a customer. Not a prisoner. Felt like I was going through TSA. The food was like prison food, so it made sense. I get it, you're security. You have to deal with some crazies. But I was dressed well, calmly walking to the door and the guy is yelling at me and acting super rude. Was not a great experience. Will not be going back. 3 stars for at least being open late and having some food options.

Very busy good spot to go to for late night munch but the food i had was disappointing it came out cold and had to be sent back. I ordered something else that took a long time to come but was ok.

The service in the restaurant is amazing I was seated fairly quickly and they always came around to check if everything was okay and the food was to my liking.The restaurant was quite dark but the attentiveness of the staff made up for it.The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside and the Mac and cheese was deliciously cheesy.Moreover the calamari tasted very fresh and had a nice crunch to it and desserts were to die for.The cheesecake was so soft and melts in your mouth and the apple crumble was so warm and cosy and the custard was very rich.I would highly recommend trying this place out.

Will not be returning to this VQ ever again! Manager was completely unprofessional, understaffed with terrible and slow service. We had our main brought out before our starters. After complaining, our starters were brought out with our main dish on the table getting cold. Had to complain again before it was taken back to the kitchen to be left warm. Terrible service and will not returning

Overall a good experience. We were pleased with everything however we had to wait for 30mins. It was very busy but a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was good and we didn't have to wait long once we placed our order. Some issues with the bill at the end soured the experience. We weren't made aware that prices change from 11pm as it wasn't communicated to us. But the manager gave us 20% off for the inconvenience.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and found this 24hour bar after looking for a place to grab a drink and bite. There was a line at the door but after showing my ID - I got in quick. I opted to sit at the bar, where I remained for 20mins until I had to get their attention to place an order. I went twice in all, and the cocktails were ok each time. The calamari portion was small and tasted more like whitefish than squid. But the chicken wings were great! I also ordered a side salad and that was ok for the price but a little small and minimal dressing options. The reason for my low rating is because of the cleanliness. On my 2nd and last visit, it was less busy and I had time to look around. The dark ambiance is likely to cover up the disgusting upholstery! There is absolutely no reason any bench chair should look like that. Spend the $200 to replace!

Great place for a drink. Also had breakfast when staying at the hotel. Service for a meal is dreadful. Kept asking for tap water and never got any. Had to get up from the table and stand near the kitchen to finally get some. No one explained the breakfast. Make sure you read the menu before ordering. You are entitled to coffee/tea and yogurt but never explain it to you. But also don’t give you time to read the menu. The bacon was horrible! It was streaky bacon that was cooked so poorly but the rest was okay. Only tried the full English because colleagues said the other items were not good.

I’m so often eating at VQ restaurant - Aldgate that I lost the counting. Great thanks to all the cooking team for preparing the best food, especially the spicy, vegetarian pasta arrabiata, which I adore! The waiters are kind and willing to be up to the guest requests at any time, providing the best care and professionalism. There are also 2 managers who absolutely impressed me: Mr. Luis, a light personality, who can make a conflict disappear through his sense of humour and professional approach and… Mr. Tony, who’s a proactive multitasker. I remember one noon when I was waiting in a queue and saw him doing 3 different tasks in less than 2 minutes. What?! Please, some applause for all the people of this restaurant, even behind the screens. I saw them sweating and still they are there for us as nothing happened. Thank you!

I stayed at Hotel Saint for four nights in March 2023 and had breakfast at VQ downstairs a few times and dinner once. Service staff were attentive and pleasant although sometimes a bit busy with the breakfast crowd that floods in around 8am. The steak I had was grilled nicely and went well with the bearnaise sauce and fresh fries. It's good to visit during off-peak times.

Arrived in London late so we were looking for a restaurant that was open after 11PM. We were able to find VQ and when we got there the man said they were fully booked inside and that we had to wait around 40 minutes. We were starving so we waited outside even though we could clearly see a bunch of empty tables inside. Once we got inside we looked at the menu quickly and ordered drinks/food straight away. (Although it took like 10 minutes for someone to come to our table). Our server looked at us and took our order like we were from outer space or something when we asked simple questions. We ordered one beer, Steak Sandwich, Chicken & Waffles, Onion Rings and a Vanilla Milkshake. My boyfriend liked the beer but the vanilla milkshake was terrible. Tasted icy and nothing like vanilla ice cream tasted like old yogurt. Hated it, so I didn't even bother taking a picture of it. The steak sandwich was good but they put a lot of horseradish sauce; the steak was soft though. The chicken & waffles come out with one tiny piece of waffle and basically grilled seasoned chicken. Terrible. I also asked for onion rings with my steak sandwich and instead they gave my French fries. I told another waiter that we ordered onion rings not French fries so he says okay, takes the fries away then comes back 5 minutes later with the same fries and says “oh this comes with your order, onion rings you pay extra”. So weird. We finished our tiny portion of food and quickly got the bill. So expensive for what we got and they also applied a service charge (I didn’t even receive any service). SMH. I saw the waiter once when taking my order and never again. I had to flag down the manager to pay my bill to leave. Should have gone to bed hungry. & they scan your ID at entrance. Been to many restaurants/bars during my stay never seen such a thing. So unnecessary.

We had a lovely evening there on Friday July 1st. Excellent service from all the friendly and welcoming staff who really went the extra mile. Especially Shabir and Ahmed. Nice relaxed atmosphere, decent food especially the ribs, spaghetti bolonaise, prawn starter and calamari. And the cocktails were awesome 👌 👏🏻 💙👍Many thanks 😊 And we will be happy to return....

Lovely hotel clean qnd tidy. Amazing rooftop bar and next door to the tube. Highly recommended

To be honest not the happiest about this restaurant that was underneath the hotel we were staying in. My sister and I had bottle of malbec firstly, the decided later to have two sides of hummus and bread. On the table were some menus, the hummus was £4.50, when my sister tried to pay for this they were trying to charge us £11. My sister queried this and they said that was the price. I told the bar guy that it should be £9.00, the guy didn't give us any change. Very rude place.

The decor in this place is very nice, the ambience is perfect for an intimate date or nice dinner. However, the food is not great. I found the food to be salty, and the Apple crumble was not traditional so I wouldn't recommend it. I had ordered wings and my friend ordered the tower burger and had to order pancakes instead as the burger wasn't good. Unfortunately, I didn't eat much of the food either and a lot of it did go to waste, which is a shame. The service from the staff was decent. They were as attentive as they could be given how busy the restaurant was. The drinks seemed very weak so I wouldn't order cocktails from here either. Other than that, it was an ok experience but outside of the ambience and vibe of the place I wouldn't recommend it.

Food was of a high standard. Staff very helpful. There was a queue to get in and this was at 12:30 am (it’s open 24 hours) but as we where staying in the hotel saint we go in straight away. Price wise for London it was reasonably. For two of us who both had a main course and drinks it cost £75. I would suggest just check the amount when you pay as we were originally charged £194. BUT the restaurant manager came over right away and pointed out that they had.

As perfectly nice as the two wraps we ordered were, they constituted each no more than three mouthfuls of food each and don't represent, along with a small juice, £30+ of breakfast. If I had been served such miniscule in your restaurant I would have laughed and then refused to pay. The portion size is a joke.

I love coming here after a night out. Good food and good time management. Some staff members ain’t that nice but there looked stressed for maybe that’s why. But it is a very nice place to eat

Great place to go if you're looking for a place to grab some grub at any time. Had breakfast and wasn't expecting much being the late night I came in. Got the steak and eggs. Scrambled eggs were a little over done not as runny as I like em. My gf asked for poached but they came super cooked and no runny yolk, also could taste the hint of vinegar. I'm only knit picking as I'm an ex hotel breakfast chef so already my bar is quite high. Take my review with a grain of salt. The steak was very well seasoned and the dirty fries was awesome. Don't know if it want them a tad more dirtier like more sauce or something. Overall great visit and looks like a great place to chill. Given it was a Sunday and the mood was super chill. Would come back to try desserts as the desserts list has everything I want in a dessert menu from the 1st to the last

Convient that this place is open 24hrs. Nice atmosphere for late night fine dining. Starters was great but let down by the mains. For starters i got the hollumi fries, butterfly prawns and spicy chicken wings. Main was the mexicana burger and ehhh just very meh. Didnt help that it was on the counter for over 10 minutes. Dessert we had the churros, while they wasnt great they were better then most. Drinks were good but not very strong. Not the best experience but it was good enough to give it another try. Owen was my server and he deservers 5stars for his service and food&drink suggestions.

In love with their food, service and ambience. I must especially highlight the courteous service provided by Tony, the restaurant manager. The rest of the staff was also extremely polite and humble. I would always have an appetite for this place. Definitely added to the mandatory revisit list!

Makesh, Flavio, Kone and Vlad made my birthday the best one yet. The service was fantastic and I loved the food. They really took great care and attention to both me and my girlfriend, making sure that we were catered for in the most professional manner. Thank you VQ, great food, great atmosphere and most of all, the boys working for you guys made the experience a 10/10 for me.

Bouncers and security at the door are top-notch full of banta They kept me entertained while I waited to get in. The place is 24 hours, so it is perfect for after-party dining. Always busy at night and early hours of the morning. Food was fine, and I will definitely be back

Good if you want something nicer (and more expensive) than maccies late at night. Service was good, food was average. The person waiting on my table was super nice and checked in on me often. I didn’t really have to wait to get in and got to skip the queue. The tropical daiquiri was nice, and not too pricey compared to other bars in London. I got the calamari, and the ribeye with Mac and cheese subbed in instead of chunky chips. The calamari was okay, but way overpriced for the portion. The Mac and cheese was average, but not remarkable. The steak had a nice sear on it, but the meat as well as the bearnaise sauce on the side was pretty bland, and better after I added some salt and pepper. Not sure if this is normal but I was asked to leave through the back entrance when I was ready to leave. Overall, unless I was super desperate for food late at night, I’d probably go somewhere else.

Don't know if its just a London think but I don't think there should be a service charge on breakfast.

Good spot for late night eating. Varied menu choices - including all day breakfast options. Venue was quiet when we arrived around 22:30, but got fairly busy after the clubs closed.
